You have to transfer those files via active sync, because they have to be converted to normal excel or word files.
Pocket office and windows office aren't totally compatible!

Yes the pocket pc has it all!
In the smartphone world you can use the ftp client in the resco explorer or total commander and download files from your PC (over wlan) but you cannot open them before you download first them to your device.
On the pc you must install first a programm like GuildFTP an to configure everthing properly.
That's the only way I've found to share files over wifi
is ther any i.m program out there that would let you transfer and recieve files to and from your pocket pc?

I have my PPC and laptop connected to my router.
I'm able to 'ping' to the PPC.
But: How do I share a folder on my PPC?
Or How do I connect to a folder shared on my laptop?
I tried every program of my PPC but I can't find it.
With Pocket Lan (http://www.z2software.com/) you can connect from your PPC to a share on your laptop. To my knowledge the reverse is not possible.
Try Mocha FTP Server on your PPC
Connect to your lan, start Mocha FTP and on your PC open ftp://ip_of_ppc.
Does anyone know if it is possible to browse the files on a computer wirelessly from an Android phone?
I used to do it using Resco explorer on my old HTC touch Pro/Raphael ( WM6.1 ), I could up- and download files to the computer and even watch streamed movies using coreplayer. Can this all be done with Android?
I know how to browse the phone files from the PC via a wireless server application like WiFi File Explorer. I want to be able to do it the other way around, remotely would be even better. At the moment I am using LogMeIN ignition to tell the PC which files to send via WiFi File Explorer and it's a bit tedious.
