Hey Sony just announced the XPERIA X10, is it going to be like the x1 manufactured by HTC? The phone looks just amazing.
Does seem awesome but it's by Sony not HTC
Rumor has it that it's coming to Tmobile USA...

Hello,
Today I sold my beloves HTC HD2, so I am looking for a new system. I loved the fact I could flash my HD2 with custom roms, I never used stock rom.
Now I am interested in 2 devices, the Samsung Galaxy s2, and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.
I love the look of the Arc, the s2 looks too much like an iphone, I hate that.
But Sony Ericsson really messed up the ROM. Why the hell did they make it look so cheap, the widgets look just awefull!!! s2 looks much better.
So now my question is if there are good roms that could be flashed on the Arc that removes the horrible cheap look. And if there are, do these roms work 100% or are they in beta.
---
Or should I really go for the s2, It's dual core, and has more ram. And the software looks pretty cool right out of the box.
---
One other thing I am interested in is what the 2 deviced would be worth in about a year or so. I always resell my device after im done with it, I want to have a device that does not drop in price like crazy. I have a feeling the Arc will be worth nothing in a year, or am I wrong.
Im looking to upgrade to a new phone and im torn between the HTC Sensation 4G, HTC Amaze 4G, or the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S.
Anyone have any personal views they can provide on their take. If you have 1 of the 3 phones im open to how much you like or hate it.
The first Xperia models to receive the
upgrade will be Xperia arc S, Xperia neo
V and Xperia ray. For these first
models, the rollout will start mid-April
and continue over 4-6 weeks.*
Following on, Xperia arc, Xperia PLAY,
Xperia neo, Xperia mini, Xperia mini pro,
Xperia pro, Xperia active and Sony
Ericsson Live with Walkman will receive
their scoop starting from the end of
May/early June.*

but ****ing samsung because of ****ing touchwiz as they say will not get official ics for it‘s most devices even for galaxy S or W

No it doesn't.
If you were using HTC or Motorola , you would still be unlocking the bootloader.
If you're angry towards samsung for not releasing ICS for our fit, your anger is completely unjustified.
You can't buy a low end phone with crap specs and expect it to run hd games and get all the updates.

The first is money. It all boils down to the commercial business.

Exactly that's the answer
Which is overall better? What OS do they run on?
bump!
Actually I'd recommend the P over both that you mentioned. You'll get a larger screen than the U and newer UI features than the Arc S for around the same price.
Neither!
I've been an SE android user for a few years and repeatedly they lag behind their competitors it keeping you up to date, even more so now that they have unlocked their bootloaders so that the dev community can do their customer retention work for free.

Definitely Arc S, but comparing Arc S to Xperia P would me more fair and I actually think, that Xperia P is better than Arc S. But it doesnt have a separate forum on XDA....it is attached to Xperia S'forum.
Why didn't sony release the successor of the xz Premium? A lot was said about the xz pro but wasn't released at the MWC. Does anyone know why that is the case?
Apparently, according to media reports the successor of the XZ Premium may show up at IFA in September and go on sale in October/November, same as the Z5 Premium did.
But, after seeing the XZ2, I hope Sony do not follow the same route in design, that device is ugly and the horrendous bulge on the back is stupid. I like the Omni-Balance design of the Z series and the original XZ series, if the successor to the XZ Premium looks like the XZ2, I will have to abandon Sony.
If that is the release date for the successor of the xz premium series i may aswell go with the pixel XL 2
