How to backup the playlists of htc audio manager? - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

Hi All,
can someone tell me where the HTC Audiomanager stores the playlist files?
Thank you

Actually I never wondered about that, because I'm using;
PlaylistMgr - is a simple playlist editor for managing Windows Media Player playlists and it supports unicode.
It also supports M3U/PLS playlist files as well as playlists for HTC Audio Manager.

Mabey it's an idea to install File Explorer Extension? With it you'll B able to search for extentions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=421723
Then again who uses fExplorer on WinMo nowadays?
=> start using Total Commander (free for PPC) get it here;
http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
Total Commander has a build in;
FTP client, Registry Editor, LAN Access, zip (un)packer, shortcut creator, Select/unselect groups of files, Properties dialog; change attributes, Option to hide all files in ROM, Directory history through dropdown list, Single or two file (virtual) window mode, much more..
Hope this helps..

I don't know, but under \Application Data\HTC\AudioManager_Eng\ there is a file AudioManager_Eng.vol and a folder with name playlists.
You can try backup this.
I don't have try yet.

Voice Command - Default Player Problem

I am using Voice Command 1.5 for PPC (O2 XDA IIs) and recently had to do a re-install. This time I put BetaPlayer on before Voice Command and now BetaPlayer activates when I ask it to play a music track. Previously the Windows Media Player would play the music and I cannot figure out how to change the default player for Voice Command!
Of note - It is not MP3 file associations as this still points to Media Player not Beta Player (Clicking on an MP3 brings up Media Player). Also, when I state "Next Track" with Media Player active it changes track ..... very confusing!
I feel that the activation of Media Player is contained in some form of ini file for Voice Command as I have searched the registry for some link to Voice Command and Media Player but been unable to locate this. If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful.....
Found it!
It isn't .mp3 file associations it is .asx association (Playlist).
A simple edit of the registry with PHM Registry Editor soon fixed the problem!
I had the same problem, but my other offending player was mortplayer..
now this solution may work for you so here goes.
1....i uninstalled mort player first because mvcommand tried to call each time i tried to call an artist mp3 file.
when yo try to use mvcommand again to call the artist, an error "voice command.asx" would be displayed. mvcommand actually places this file in a temp directory on your pda's memory.
2.......i then used Gsfinder+ a freeware file explorer program to associate the file asx with "windows media player file" by doing a file open... choose program method,
3 now open the asx file, this will load the media player...close it
and try the command to load an artist from mvcommand.
it worked for me.
if your probblem is related to video files the same procedure may work for that too, but am not sure if it will save an wmv or avi file to the temp directory.
Good luck

htc audiomanager playlist editor

hy,
gives an program where can create an htc audiomanager playlist
not with the htc audiomanager i have many of 100 mp3 ringtones of my trion
and many mp3 files in different folders..
The AudioManger mixed both.. and a playlist to create with the manager is
impossible..
greets tk
I manage my Files with Media Player 11 on the PC and sync with the Storage Card of my PPC.
U can choose wich Files and Playlist should be synced.
U will see the playlists and files in the Media Player on PPC, and also in the HTC Audiomanager.
i have no windows on my desktop pc, iam using linux,
i send the mp3 files direct to the storage card, without syncing,
and the audiomanager search the complete pda, he cannot read m3u playlist.
the windows media player mixed the files too... not an different.. to the htc..
i think i must create self the playlist on my desktop pc and send them to the pda..
greets tk
It reads playlist in /Application Data/HTC/Audiomanager/playlist
The playlist file has not extention.
Make a playlist with some program, delete extention and try.
I try the reverse operation, and work.
Playlist Manager
Try this playlist manager to create play list and play with media player. Its freely available from freewarepocketpc.net.
thanks.. for this file

NEEDED !! Windows media player playlist creator

Can anyone provide me with Windows media player playlist creator ... So that i can create playlist on computer and save it on mobile to play it ...
Moved as not software release.
Don't use WMP on phone but surely it can read .m3u playlist files? PocketPlayer does
So you can create the playlist on computer "i use Winamp" then just copy files and .m3u to phone.
Hi,
attached cab is a little playlistmanager.
with friendly greet
starbase64
I am using this freeware, Playlist Creator, on my WinXP PC.
http://www.oddgravity.de/app-opc.php
easier way
Well neither of those suggestions work on my HTC HD2 especially considering m3u is not native to WMP
so..
You can either create your playlists in Windows Media Player on PC but obviously with the files on your phones memory card, and choose File -> Save Now playing List as...
then choose 'any type' and call your playlist 'untitled.asx' or whatever as long as it ends in asx
otherwise i used Winamp its much easier to create playlists (m3u) and/or if you already have .m3u's just drag and drop them into the now playing in WMP and save as above
- save any .asx to the root folder of music drive of your phone
hope thats clear enough

changing default media player on HD2

Hi,
Was hoping to dump windows media player and make coreplayer the default player, but cant find any how to..yesI did a search.
Is there a registry hack or something?
cheers.
Bump......
Moved as not software release.
You can change the associations with most file explorers so when you click on the file it opens the program you want, CorePlayer in the settings also has the option to associate the file types you want.

[Feature Request] SMB Share / Network Folders

Hello,
I have a few questions, I hope some one can answer them.
I would like to know if it is possible to set a video folder that is on a network or a web site. I have all my DVDs copied onto my server and would like to access them from my devices.
When I try to add a folder, via settings, it will not show me a network. If I go to Network stream I have to type in the complete url to the file its self for it to play.
Example: 13.125.44.133:4040/movies/61/video_ts/vts_01_1.vob
I would like to be able to see the directory with the list of folders that the movies are in and then select the folder and have the app play the movie.
Example:
Movies/
61
2012
After Earth
....
Maybe the only way to access to this folders its using a file explorer with the capabilities of accessing to network folders.
I was able to locate the file, like you suggested. I am using ES File Explore, it allowed me to save the path and also associate the vob files with MX Player. So now I have one more question. When I ripped my DVD's, they are just like on the DVD. There is 4 or 5 vob files numbered 1, 2, 3... When I select the first vob file and it plays to the end it goes back to the ES File Explore app and does not continue on to the second vob file. Is there a switch so that it will do this or will it just not do this?
MX Player currently has no built-in SMB share support. External apps like ES File Explorer only pass 1 file URI at a time to MX.
This has been previously requested before. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mx-videoplayer/nYpihpAVJq0/discussion
It's already on the feature requests list. http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/sticky-running-list-feature-requests-t2718297
i see that there is a "back to list" i uncheck this and it went to the next file, seam to work.
Interesting, I didn't think that they would have changed so quickly to passing all the URIs in the folder. Well, good to see that you found a solution.
Related: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/bug-report-video-button-lan-mounted-t2967882
An amendment to what I said above; MX still doesn't receive all the URIs, but rather does predictive requests based on filename, as a quickfix to this issue.
I use ES file explorer to do this, you can 'save' the location as a shortcut to the desktop of your device (long press on the folder, select save to desktop)
There are currently a few bugs with this in the latest version which i have my own thread about, subtitles dont load and some videos require software playback to prevent audio going out of sync but it works and works well in general.
Anyone using this feature could tell me how it works when there are 2 files - video and subtitles?

Click to collapse
If the directory listing is enabled on the host, MX Player can get the list of files. So, it will automatically load the subtitle as we. Else, MX Player will try to get the subtitle by assumption (by just replacing video extension with subtitle extensions). But, it doesn't work everywhere.
So, it's better to enable directory listing if you are using a local server.
