HardSPL is not an OS. Hard SPL will allow you to install custom Roms. The OS will be Windows Mobile. duh.
Also don't bother with Android since you lack patience with reading and searching.

Everything you need to know is in the wiki and the sticky at the top of the page.
Unfortunately ( for you ) this is Xda-developers, not " I want to be cool like the other guys , but I lack the patience to read and understand " forum. Thousands of people here have read reread and reread the sticky and have put in the time to understand the process and no one here is going to do it for you. If you don't understand the simple process then leav your phone alone or you will brick it.
At the very least, this post does not belong in the development section, it belongs in the " I'm a noob help me make my phone cool " section. Then read, go through the process and post in the " flashing for noobs " thread, specific questions on where in the process you got stuck, and someone there will answer specific questions.

As others state read the sticky, wiki etc and use the resources already provided for you.....
On that note thread closed.

newbie

hi i guys im new and i wanna upgradde my wing, can someone help me please
Start by reading the stickies. We were all newbies once, so there are guides made for everything. It just requires some reading and some searching.
Start by searching for "how to flash a herald".
The first thing you'll find is:
"A Herald's Guide to Flashing Aserg, USPL and HARD-SPL"
And go from there.
Either way, please try to keep your "how do I do this" questions to the Herald or Herald 6 sub forums. The Herald Development forum is meant for Development questions (people who make ROMs, etc.)

Is their a section for beginners?

Is their a section in this forum that is for beginners? When I say beginners I mean we know the basics about computers and what not, but when it comes to changing registry and tweaking up our HTC phone.
Like a guide on "how-to's" on everything and anything we probably would want to do or just the major stuff. That would be great because searching through the forum for other questions that were solved is a hassle. Sometimes I can't find anything then you would have to post it and members would come back to flame you because you didn't search when you actually did.
If their is a section could someone please post the link.
Thanks!
on the top of each section there is a great guide
Also read the Wiki
Good luck,
Didn't know about the Wiki thanks!
No prob mate
Over there you´ll find all that you need as a beginner
Enjoy!

http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Diamond

Ok i know that the sapphire forum doesnt get as much development as the dream section but cmon ppl, has it come to the point where every single question deserves a thread. Its called using the q/a thread. Geez. Incase the reason u posted here is because u dont know what q/a stands for, its questions and answers. Plz dont be the reason devs leave this outstanding forum.

[Q] NEWBIE needs Step-by-Step for dummies on finding SPL version

I have an HTC Trophy and desperatley want to load the Mango roms and get custom ringtones. I have NO IDEA how to check my SPL version. Any questions about this on this site are either very general or a little techy for my comprehension.
I really need a step-by-step from the "beginning" of how to find my SPL version so I don't "brick" my phone. And more info on the whole Mango roms would be APPRECIATED.
And anyone willing to chat with me via email would be AWESOME, but apparently I can't include email being a newbie.
Just a hacking retard looking for some kindness.
Head to this sub-forum you should be able to find all you need.

Thanks, but I've been all over that forum. Apparently newbies are not permitted to post on anything but the "general" forums...until after 8 posts.
The problem I ran into there, as stated in my original, is that the info is a little too techno-speak. I need more specific step-by-step.
Does anyone read the full content of a post before replying?
thank's verry much
