Hello all I have a polaris (POLA100) and I am planning to exchange it for kaiser (tytnII)
now this tytnII is 528Mhz that is one of the reason I am thinking of exchanging
all you experts please let me know should I go ahead and exchange with kaiser or keep my polaris

IMHO, if you need keyboard you should think about Touch Pro II (Rhodium).
If you don't need keyboard, you should think about Touch Diamond II (Topaz), Touch HD (Blackstone) or wait for Touch HD2 (Leo).
Why? Kaiser is same generation as Polaris, so you might want to get something more modern...

No Kaiser has also 400Mhz and also the MSM7200 CPU. So far I know hardware is the same.

This question may sound a little awkward but is it possible to install the HTC Gene (P3400) ROM on a Prophet?
I'm asking this because I read that the P3400's hardware is pretty much the same as S200.

in case you don't know you can install Wizard ROMs on a Prophet i've done it myself, it just doesn't mean it will work well
never heard about htc orbit, but if you're talking about htc Artemis (xda orbit), it doesn't have the same hardware as the prophet: it has gps and fm radio and the prophet doesn't, for example. not to talk about the flash chips and stuff...!

Hardware sound similar, but on p3400 no wifi hardware for example...

today i had a friends diamond for the first time,and i was impressed,it sure is the best looking phone ever (except the back maybe), it is fast,the vga display is great,so precise,the dimensions of the device are perfect...i was shocked and i'd suggest the diamond
i own himalaya,magician,atom
and i had tytn,artemis,orbit,pharos,cruise,iphone,n95,loads of other nokias,samsungs,sony ericssons,siemenses in my hands
and diamond is the best,the coolest,the fastest,and the most interesting so far
only problem is that in first 15 mins of use touchFlo3D crashed...partially(the bottom bar dissapeared),but that's nothing too bad...you can always disable it

If you had a TyTN maybe the touch Pro (Raphael) could be better for you, also see the samsung Omnia, Toshiba Protegé 910, could be good options.
If you do a search there is a thread (dont remember where) where they analize the best options

nah...raphael is as thick as tytn...and thats too much,i don't like slideout devices and wouldn't recommend them to anyone because they are too think,heavy andmost of all have very vulnerable flat cables
and ssj5trunks wanted something compact...and diamond has pretty good dimensions
(compact+not too small)/2 =well balanced and that is what diamond is

My candidates for the best WinMo phone of 2008 are:
Super number 1.- Htc Advantage x7510!!
1.- Touch Pro Raphael
2.- Samsung Omnia
3.- Toshiba protegé g910
4.- Diamond
Iphone is not WinMo and can not compare with any of the ones above
Iphone sucks in several aspects.... so let´s not talk about it!

Currently I would say the HTC Touch Diamond.
Either the HTC Touch Pro or the SE Expreria might surpass it when they become available.

Hahaha you're joking, right? I presume yo;ve never actually used any of the above, especially the G910...
My vote would be the i780, possibly followed by the i900 if you don't want a keyboard (too early for real user reviews yet). Forget the eye-candy and go for something that works better than any other PPC out there - at a bargain price. Not just my opinion:-

i had samsung 780,and now i have diamond and omnia, i beleve omnia is the best or will be the best, it have a good battery, superb cam, big display (alas with bad resolution), good touchscreen, write on it is easy without stylus, problem with navigators, tomtom7 needs of gps gate, garmin is free (why always this problem?), the fix is good,
some little problem with installations of some programs and games, with diamond no problems, for me however omnia is the best for NOW

He has not mentioned "Touch Pro 2". Tattoo and Touch2 are identical except the Tattoo is an android device while Touch2 is a win-mo. Diamond is now old phone where as the rest three are newer devices. If you want win-mo then either Touch2 or Diamond2 will be your choices. Touch2 must be cheaper than Diamond2. The advantage of Diamond2 over Touch2 is the former one has higher resolution.

Wait and get the Leo when it comes out next month.
Touch Pro 2 is definitely best w/ WM & keyboard...check out the Rhodium section for the scoop.
If no keyboard, then wait for the Leo

did i miss something? The Tattoo and Touch2 look diffrent to me. They may have identical hardware specs, but that doesnt make them identical (apart from the os). They have diffrent dimensions and a diffrent key layout and you can change the case of the Tattoo for an individual look.
And the "except" you mentioned is probably the biggest thing. I switched to an android phone and will never switch back (have no faith in winmo7).

Nice device! Customs ROMS available too...only problem low available RAM
got my raphael back, keyboard is repaired(=replaced) now i'm happy with it for the next half year
hope htc creates a new amazing qwertz keyboard phone soon.
