How to get back to Dopod official ROM From LsvW AKU 2.3.1 ROM

any one could help me? how to get back to dopod official ROM version: 2.15.13.27 WWE from LsvW 2.3.1 ROM or just show me the link to that thread(s). i just up grade to LsvW 2.3.1 ROM and failed, now my prophet brick.

Congratulations.

You might want to give some more info. Is your device a G3 or a G4?
Perhaps flasing it with the 2.20 qtek rom might work, because I believe LsvW uses that as a base for his modded ROM. Intructions are in that thread.
Can you still get into the bootloader? Because that's vital in reflashing the device. Bricked = when you cannot get into bootloader anymore :/
When I tried to flash with the LsvW rom my device would get stuck in bootloader and then I fixed it by upgrading with the qtek rom.
But! this will not mean this is the same on your device. So a little bit more info about where it hangs, what steps you took etc etc is better so we can help you.

first when i try to flash with LsvW 2.3.1 it stuck on bootloader with three color and i try to re flashing again with the same rom 2.3.1 and it's just black / Bricked?
FYI before flash with 2.3.1 i have tried to flash with 2.3.0 and its succeded

I don't have any experience with G3 devices, but...
My only guess is that you might try to unlock it so you can downgrade without any problems.
I just don't have any idea how to do that (other than reading the wiki ). So maybe someone who might have been in the same situation knows and is willing to help you... Perhaps you first need to get it running again before you can unlock.
But you only have a black screen and can't get into the bootloader? That doesn't sound too good :/ Have you tried getting into the bootloader with pressing the camera button and then reset (while holding the camerabutton)? (explaination found here)
If that works there is still hope

Yup , it can..and then i flash qtek rom. then reflash again with LsvW 2.3.1 now it work smoothly.

Hi, I tried updating my rom using faria-htc wizard...WWE WM6 ROM and after it was complete, it said there was some error during the setup. So after doing the other steps to start the install over again, now it's telling me that I have a old updater version, and now my phone is stuck on the boot loader screen and I have no idea what to do?
If someone can please help me install the oem version or get the WM6 version that would be great!

ok I went and downloaded the Wizard love rom but it still will not work. I can't read it but Im sure it said that it could not connect, because I am stuck in boot loader mode.
Any other advice please?
I've tried a few other roms also and all of them do the same thing

Do you have a G3 or G4 Wizard? What is your IPL / SPL currently? If you are on the Bootloader screen (rainbow screen) then all you have to do is hook up your USB cable and flash your carrier's official rom. Activesync will NOT connect to bootloader, but it will work.

I have a G3. My IPL and SPL are both 2.25. Where can I download Cingulars ROM file from? I tried finding it but having no luck.

Issues with upgrading to WM6 - solved + tips

Hi guys
I know this has been asked a million times before, but trust me, I've tried following the tutorials posted her but with no luck.
So here goes:
I've tried flashing this ROM:

via awizard but it stopped so I've unplugged it, got it into bootloader mode and flashed with the xplore WM6 ROM but it just hangs at the boot up screen after restarting.

SP 3.08
GS 0.269.11
OS 3.8.2.2
Any ideas?

Was your wizard CID unlocked ?
I see that you have OS 3.8.2.2 , that is not my OS. It should have been 10.2.0.8.
That means your wizard might have been locked.

Very strange.
I did run CID-unlock first. It was running xplore before I tried flashing the tmobile rom, so maybe the images didn't get flashed.
Anything I can do to fix it?

Okay, I'm busy trying to flash the wizard_love rom. Been sitting at 96% for a while lets hope it goes further.

Okay, the upgrade went through. OS2.26
XDS-dev tutorials and the love rom for the win! Now I can relax again...
Will flash to WM6 soon.

Sorry about that, have changed it.
For some reason I can't get it back to WM6 but will try again and keep you guys posted. Device is definitely CID unlocked, but for some reason it keeps hanging at the boot screen.

OKay, assuming my wizard got CID-locked for some reason, how do I downgrade to ver1 to unlock it again?
I've downloaded button's ver1.05 rom. Can I just install it, or will it give me an error saying I need a newer ROM?
Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to take any chances.

Luke....use the Force... Follow the steps in the tutorial link (in my sig.) but the short answer is "yes".

I feel like a bit of a plonker asking so many questions with such obvious answers.

Okay, after a LOT of trial & error I've finally gotten it back to WM6. Here's what I did:
1)Downgraded to IPL/SPL 1.01 using button's ROM
2)CID unlocked using lokiwiz
3)Upgraded to mr_clean AKU2.3
4)Upgraded to Faria's WM6
I didn't use aWizard as usual, just the rom upgrade utilities that came with these ROMS.
Hope this helps anyone that's struggling with the same problems I've been having.
Thanks for the tutorials, they've been a great help. The only part that didn't work for me was upgrading to T-mobile's 2.26 because it would freeze on the bootup screen after upgrading to WM6. Replace that step with mr_clean 2.3 and it works fine.

I got the phone into bootloader mode then it worked fine. It got stuck at 94% iirc but I just left it until it finished.

Help for reverting back to origianl rom! Urgent!!!

i ve a hardspl 3.29 and trying to downgrade to original rom the flashing process stops at 15%.
i can install only custom rom and so i cant reverting back to original rom and spl.
ive been tried to flash first the spl but not working...

wow, I don't think I've ever haleard it this way before. Usually you can't upgrade to a cooked ROM, not the other way around.
So, you get no errors while installing a cooked ROM, but it stops at 15% when trying to downgrade...
I know that some shipped ROMs flash the SPL at 15%, so this must be the problem.
Undortunately, I am a lucky one who has never had anything bad happen to me while flashing (besides my laptop running out of battery), so I don't really have much advice to give you, but I'm sure somebody else will.

HardSPL prevents itself from being replaced. You need to run JumpSPL or SSPL-KAIS on the phone when it is running WM as normal, which will switch you to triciolor screen, where you can flash the original SPL.
This should be detailed in the "How to revert to factory state" page in the wiki.

solved the stuck problem on bootloaderwith mtty for Vista, but with hardspl it's impossible to flash an original rom on the device (flsh stops at 15% error 226-flash error- wath is?)
so...i want to flash an original rom: waht can i do? help needed please...thx!!!

Try ookba's roms, use Auto_1.19 worked for me... If it all goes wrong as we now have a shipped rom you can fall back to SD flash as in this post:

No, it didn't work for me. I thought by now there will be a solid solution to this. Now we are stuck with stock roms as we cannot HardSPL our devices.
SPL 1.24 is hard to hack. Anyone got any solutions??????

What didnt work?
I ran the Auto_1.19, (it prompted that device wasnt connected a couple of times, then got the prompt on the device to ask if an application should be run, selected yes (using left softkey), then had to use the trackball to select yes (the screen obscures some of the prompt), then screen went black and RUU began upgrade proces..

When I use Auto_1.19, i press the track ball on my device, I get an Error message and asks me to send the error to microsoft.

Try with the older version if still fails might be worth a hard reset....

Yeah anyone? I have a SNAP with SPL 1.24 running WINDOWS Mobile 6.5 but I cannot for the life of me get any of the JockyW SPL's to work 1.17 or 1.19. I hate these Bloody Telstra / HTC phones, there locking them down so tightly nowdays. Not even the SDA unlocker works.. it tells me the phone is unlockable

I´m running with a SNAP from Telefonica with SPL 1.22 and WM6.1 which doesn´t let me install any of the ROMS here. Not even upgrade to 6.5 of original ROM from HTC. It says 294 invalid vender ID.
I have also tried aplication unlocker.. and nothing seems to work.
A few questions... has HardSPL 1.24 been released?
Any ideas to be able to flash a new rom onto this baby...

I have MAPL110 with SPL-1.24.0000. Successfully flashed by hspl 1.17 and
this ROM - 3VOLUTION SERIES *][WM6.5 STD 21854][Build 3VO.2.50.112509.

succesfully flashed spl 1.25. used hard spl 1.19 through activesync. stuck on tmo load up page then used bootloader then flashed 11.25.09 rom from there.
all went well and my wife has a newish dash for $100
