Hello all. Sorry for creating a new thread. I look and search and could not find any thing on this topic. Any one knows were in registry the A2DP setting is on Verizon TP2? It is usually in HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Bluetooth>A2DP>Setting but it is not there. It is missing and I need to change the setting. So, if any one knows please let me know. I am sure that others will also benefit out of this. Thanks every one.
WOW. Are you telling me that nobody looked at my thread? Amazing.

try using a reg editor and if it has it do a search, if not attempt dumping and hexing - no guarantee just an idea
Yeh. I tried that already. It is nowhere. I can not find it. I even tried to create the key with all the files in it, but did not work. It does not change any thing. The problem that i am having is, when I pair a Stereo head set (Moto S805) I hear hissing sound while playing music witch I don't get it on my other devices. That is why I need to adjust the A2DP settings (BitPool) to cancel that noise, but I can't find it. So, if any body knows where it is, please let me know.
Thanks to all.

Rhodium uses a widcomm bt stack rather than the msft stack, so those old tweaks wont do anything. Go to..
HKLM\Software\Widcomm\Plugins\AV
add this dword reg
"LineSpeed" with a value of 320 (decimal).
****ty a2dp solved.

WOW. Awesome. Thanks venelar. This is much better. I am testing right now and it is clear. No more crappy hissing noise. Thanks again.

Since upgrading to Universal Mobile 6 my handsfree device microphone is not working anymore. I can hear someone talking but i can't speak back.
Is there some change in the registry necessary to get it working again (and yes, I tried the handsfree on another device before putting the question down here, and I did a search without success, and did not go through the 2000 threads in the forum)

Then you probably didn't search hard enough.
It's all over the forum, literally.
Rename the bluetooth device to a really short name on the ppc, the shorter the better.
That'll get it working again.
I humbly bow and thank you for your wisdom
I work on a trading floor which is admittedly fairly noisy, but my wife says the HTC Fuze is picking up a huge amount of the background noise, to the point where I sound like I'm competing with it. I never had this from my iPhone, so think it must be something on the phone. I'm running RomEOS 1.4.
Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity of the built in mic?
Under settings/system there is "microphone AGC" which allows you to disable the auto gain on the mike. That should help.
STraver, sir, my wife and I thank you!
Interesting...I always thought that setting was only for recording...
Thanks though
i am having the same problem with mine. it never used to do it until recently. and i believe "microphone agc" is used for your voice command/recording NOT the microphone level of in a call. either way it does nothing for me.
It's possible that my wife was mistaken when she said it seemed better then. I'll leave it 'off' for now and continue to watch.
I too have the same problem! I'm about to return this phone, every business client complains about every noise. They can hear me pick up a pencil! I looked @ AGC and it was already disabled. Any programs or registry settings I can use?
Please

I get complains almost daily that the background noise is overpowering when I'm on the phone. I basically can't be on the phone anywhere where there is any activity or it sounds so loud people ask me to call them back. I've tried a couple of different AudioPara3s but none have corrected my issue. I'm currently using RRE but had the same problem with RomeOS. Does anyone happen to know what I can do about this? If it is a setting I can change in AudioPara3, does anyone know which field(s) I should mess with?
Thanks.

Have you got "Microphone AGC" turned on? That's a technology that automatically screws up the volume of your voice when talking softly. It's nice when inside, but outside it also boosts background noise, like wind and traffic. Try turning it off, when in loud environments.
Hope this helps.
Rahza
Thanks for the tip. I checked Microphone AGC but it was off. I'm wondering if I just have a bad phone, since the problem is so bad I'm sure there would be a lot of other people complaining if it were common.
Bump in case someone knows something I can try with AudioPara3
Hi there,
I have the exact same problem...
It doesn't matter if i am inside or outside, the person in the other end hear backround noise over my voice... It is absolutely impossible to talk...
One person i talk to alot says my voice sounds almost distorted, like some gain or amplification is to high.
I would really like to know if someone has a solution to this issue?!
AGC is turned off..
Best regards
Andreas
Same issues here. Using the same phone, I have the problem when I'm running the Energy 6.5 Rom's, but not with the Energy 6.1 Rom's. Been searching and I'm stumped.
I did notice that the proram TouchPro Tweak has an Audio Boost that can only be set to "Medium" or "High". The program is written into most Rom's though so deleting it won't help.
Any thoughts?
Any help here would be very much appreciated, I've found nothing after many more hours of searching.
Are you guys sure you are using the correct rlphone.dll to match your radio?
It could be screwing with your "radio" functioning.
Yep, I did reflash my raido and reinstall my rilphone cab to make certain. The reply is still much appreciated!
Okay, I've had a bit of success.
- Microphone AGC - Enabled
- Used Total Commander and went to -> \plugins\registry\HKCU\Software\HTC\SOFTAGCData
- Max Level Gain : Changed Decimal Value from 10 -> 1
Background noise gone, but my voice is still very muffled.
If it wouldn't be too much of a bother, would someone running a 6.1 Rom be able to post up their values from all the registries under "SOFTAGCData"?
I would be very thankful.
*** SOLVED ***
Flashed back to a stock AT&T Rom and extracted all of the Audio files that may of been the cause.
Reflashed one of the Rom's that was giving me the issue, called the wife, problem still existed.
Dropped the AT&T Rom files in, placed a call, and Viola! Problem Solved!
Just extract these into the Windows dir (At your own risk, but they're just AT&T Stock files) -> Clicky
I did search the forums but didn't see a fix or regeidt for this. I have a new Verizon xv6875 Touch Pro 2 (win 6.5). My Jawbone2 is mearly useless with this--the volume is so low that nobody onthe other can hear me (and I can't hear them). Voice Command volume is so low that when I hear the faint beep VC can't hear my command.
Does anyone have a regedit or cab file fix for this?
I know there are known issues getting caller ID via VC to the bluetooth headset and/or ringtone, but if you can fix those without a custom ROM flash, you're a god and I'll donate.
I'd be happy to donate just to get the bluetooth volume on the jawbone2 fixed.
I can't flash to a custom ROM because its a corporate device (though I can modify with cas and regedits)
Any help is deeply appreiated. I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I've searched and am unable to find anything. (I've tried resetting the jawbone and re-pairing the device. Hard reset the ROM last night.) I'd love it Jetware worked with this stack, but alas.
Lilmac, you out there? NRGZ28? Sleuth?? Help guys
How long u had your TP2, coz I have a Sprint one paired with a Jawbone and works as advertised. Try the Jawbone with another unit to eliminate the possibility of it being jacked. If another hard reset doesnt do it, I will install 20% loubder phone can, I cant attach it as my connection is shaky, email me ...and i will send it over...
Can u pair anything else with your TP?
Good luck dude
please e-mail it...
I think this is a known issue on the xv6875. Have done two hard resets, no other issues.
Please send the 20% booster. [email protected] THANKS!!!
Please send the 20% booster to [email protected] also. TIA
all you need is the tweaked audiopara3.csv on ppcgeeks site.
Like many other people, I am hoping someone will point me in the right direction on how to boost the internal mic. I use my transformer for Skype, and like others, when I do I am barely heard by the person on the other end.
I have read up on Voodoo Sound but that apparently doesn't support mic boost and is only for headphones. I have read up on KAT ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1841851.html ) which may indirectly do what I need if I switch ROMs and get other features from the addon that I really don't need.
I have tried messing with asound.conf I have tried using alsamixer and I'm at a loss for what values should be input. I have looked in just about every config/data/etc/ whatever folder I can think of.
All I want is to be able to boost the gain/sensitivity on the internal mic. What script/config/file/setting do I need to change/add to do this?
And before someone mentions it.. I really don't want to use a headset =P
Thanks for any help you guys can offer. Hopefully this doesn't get overlooked like all the other "help me fix my mic" questions I've seen.
Edit1: OK, I think I've managed to figure out alsa_amixer and which settings are important to me (apparently you need to read the datasheet to figure this out...). That said, when I set the value I want for the input PGAs.. they don't stay set even if I use alsa_ctl store. I think I found a thread mentioning the same issue. I really don't understand why changing the record volume on the mic is such a problem for android devices...
No one has any idea?
Im also trying to boost the mic although skype works quite well programs like soundhound or shazaam pick up nothing even tried an external mic.
I found a program on play/market called alsamixer maybe you could try that see if it sticks.
Could you tell me the PGA setting or settings for the mic it has soo many i dont want to screw things up.

I had tried alsamixer but anytime I changed the settings, they would always be reverted back making the process pointless.
I have sense tried using KAT Audio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841851
This seems to at least access the mic. I have seen it work somewhat with Skype though the results are sporadic. I have absolutely no idea how to make Skype work reliably with KAT Audio...
You said Skype works well for you. Is this using the internal mic on the Transformer? How are you able to get it to work for you?

I'm pretty sure it's the left and right input PGAs.
