downgrade wm6 to wm5!

Hy...I have a G4 model, Qtek s200, and i was wondering if I will install a wm6 version, and if I will not be satisfied, can i downgrade to wm5 back?

I think so... Even if have CID locked, but i'm not quite sure. Anyone correct me if i'm wrong please!!

Yeah, it's no problem to downgrade! I played yesterday with some different WM5 ROM's (Orange UK, Qtek and O2) on my G4 XDA Neo and had no prpoblems at all time!

Yes, just follow the normal steps to do it. By the way, which WM6 rom you will try?! Looks like the smart1 clear it's good.

first of all: i want to install a wm6 version, but i don't know which one ... I have G4 model..can you give me an advice? also, i want without bugs if i can (that's the first reason that i didn't try yet)... i mean, to connect on wap, to work fine the new wm6...if you know what is the "perfect" version to install on my device, i am waiting your opinion

There is no "perfect" WM6 yet but the SMART1 WM6 Rom (clear) it's quite good... in this thread they talk about it and is litle bugs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=295225

I tried Smart1's WM6 ROM and successfully downgraded it to WM5 (I-mate) portuguese ROM by just using the normal procedure.
The problem is it doesn't work properly with Windows Vista. Don't try to upgrade to WM6 on Vista as it wont work properly!

so your advice is to wait another version more reliable of wm6? i supouse that wm6 = win vista isn't it?

Just a question about downgrading - I read somewhere in the forum that it is important NOT to downgrade to a lower IPL or SPL because it will brick the device. is it so?

I have a G4 that I upgraded to WM6 recently (SMART clear rom).
I liked WM6 but I have to remove it because it is only compatible with ActiveCrap 4.5, which doesn't support outlook 2000 anymore (version used at my office) .
my IPL/SPL : 2.10.0001
I would like to downgrade to last AKU 3.3 (couldn't backup my wm5 rom since my prophet is CID locked). Can I downgrade to AKU 3.3 safely?

Yes, you can do it safely! My Neo is a G4 too and I switched often between smart1 clear WM6, the official O2 update, ASerg's 3.3.12 US nad the Qtek 2.20 with no problems!

HI I am using I-mate jasjar and upgrade to Wm 6. After that there is no video call option on that. Now I want to downgrade to WM 5. How can I do this? Where can I download WM 5? Please send all the details to my email [email protected].

I have gone through all the posts about WM6 and got more then confused. I am using MDA VARIO with ROM:2.21.2.6 WWE, radio version:02.19.11, extROM version:2.21.2.109. I like to upgrade from wm5 to wm6 it will be nice if some one can guide me which ROM is the best one for a novice user with no errors and all the application.
How can i know about the page pool size of my MDA VARIO. mean which version of ROM to download.

How can i know about the page pool size of my MDA VARIO. mean which version of ROM to download.
I also like to know if I upgrade to wm6 will my MDA vario will get slow or what as I think wm6 looks like VISTA. I have OMAP850-195MHz processor and 44.04 MB Memory

look at : ..
read carefully, OK!..
try to hardSPL first.. whichone is yours, spl 2.15, G3 or G4. ...000 (IPL & SPL) = G3
Be sure if you use new methode, that your SPL is 2.G3.4PDA if yours is G3

Update using an extended rom use pda mobiz step 2 update rom
Second do a hard spl
Third install a new rom
Forth instal the 2.19 radio Rom is the most stable one so far.

Windows 6.5 for imate kjam

well i am a kind of new in windows mobile . Thanks to xda developers some how after reading all threads several times i managed to upgrade my imate kjam windows to windows 6.1 and IPL and SPL to 3.08 .
The problem is now i want to upgrade it to windows 6.5 but when ever i download files and extract them they only are in .nbf format i dont know how to transfer that to my mobile.
Would really be greatfull if any one guide me through that.????
