HTC Warranty Status - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Does anyone know how to check a warranty status on a HTC Fuze? By using imei or something...

sorry
this souldn't be possible because HTC doen't exactly know when and where you bought the phone. Depends on the date you bought it. Normally one year if I'm right. Do you have the bill?

warranty on the fuze lasts 1 year after purchase. seeing the fuze has been out for 11 months your phone is under warranty by att. go get it replaced if theres something wrong with it.

Unless it was purchased as a refurb, then it only has 90 days.

In the UK the warranty on my HTC Raphael (xda serra) is 2 years.
So in my case it looks like my network provider has an extended warranty, this could be similar in your case.

No, the at&t one has 1 year warranty if it was new and 90 days if it was bought refurbished.
I think the 2 years might be a law in your country.

i just went thru this situation. actually they can tell from your serial number. if purchased from at&t, it's one year from purchase date. if bought from another vendor, like e-bay, it is 15 months from manufactured date. i had a htc touch dual that i bought off of e-bay, was sold with 12 month warranty, so i thought. when i called htc to do a warranty claim, i was informed that it was not still under warranty. lucky for me the seller took the return. hope that helps.

In European Union warranty for electronic products is two years.
But in some countries warranty might be only for 1 year (legally or not).

i FOUND A LINK FOR CHECKING THE WARRANTY!
HOPE THIS IS GENUINE....

Hong Kong HTC Devices - Buyer Beware

We all know that the Sensation has suffered from its fair share of bugs and glitches (every new device does) but what I didn't know prior to buying this phone is that models sold in HK (Unbranded or Branded) are not supported in the same manner as the rest of the world. I hope this post can prevent someone else form making the same mistake as me.
After reading forums and talking to people, it became clear that devices in HK were either missing software updates entirely, or getting them months later than the rest of Asia (or the world for that matter).
I contacted HTC about this and spoke with Mike at the HK Customer Service center. He confirmed that HTC Hong Kong has a different policy regarding updates and has no plans to EVER release small incremental updates. He even referred to previous handsets (HTC Desire HD models in HK didn't receive the updates that the rest of the world did) saying that the only time exceptions have been made to this policy is when a major OS update 2.1->2.2 has been issued. Apparently unlike other regions, it is standard policy not to release small updates in Hong Kong. He also doubted that the bootloader update (expected in August) would be available for Hong Kong branded phones stating the models sold in HK are treated separately from other global models. Although I tried to get him to give me an explanation for this bizarre policy, the only answer I could get is that most HK customers are happy with the current release.
As it stands now, HK Sensations are stuck on software version number 1.28.708.2 and HTC HK is categorically stating that they will remain here indefinitely.
Lesson learned for me is to never buy an HTC device in HK ever again.
Does anyone know if there is a way to flash a standard Asia rom (region 707) to a HK phone (region 708)?
i have 1.28.720.2...i thought mine was sourced from HK...have any idea what the 720 region is?
I bought mine in HK, it came with the Asian rom on it
I would expect come the unlock you can then put what ever you like on it but not until then.
and no idea where 720 is, hopefully someone else can tell you.
I spoke with HTC UK about my Sensation (bought on EBay) and it seems that 720 is India!

Z5 Dual Sony warranty

Hi,
does somebody know how Sony handles his warranty condition with the Z5 dual?
I have now an E6683 which is originally from Hongkong. It is sold by a german dealer which is responsible for faults.
But I like to have a backup via the producers warranty. For this product I think I will get no free support within Europe.
Now there is another model on the market E6633 which is sold on the european market by default (I saw Poland, France, Portugal in Xperifirm). So if I buy this kind of model it should be no problem to get it repaired "legally" within Europe.
Now the question: is this assumption correct? Somebody has some experience with this kind of question?
Before I purchase Z5 Dual on ebay from Taiwan seller, I contact local Sony repair depot in Calgary,Alberta Canada and was told they honor the warrenty. Purchase it the next day ship from singapore. Try to find out where the local repair depot in your country.

Why dual-sim 955FD is getting cheaper than single-sim 955F?

Hi guys,
Here in Eastern Europe (and according to the recent AP article on eBay as well) dual-sim 955FD is cheaper than single-sim 955F.
Could someone explain why is it so? What problems may I have with custom ROMs and other flashables for 955FD? Some member explained here that CSCs are universal. Does it mean that main ROM part (not radio) is universal too and dual/single can be switched via some flag or so? In my opinion, dual-sim is more complicated technically (considering even extra cubic millimeters for the second sim, the hardware should be slightly 'compressed' comparing to 955F , not mentioning software complications ) .
The bottom line is... where is the catch (for modifications lover) ? Would/did you buy FD instead of F ?
Thanks
I bought the FD instead of the F as it was MUCH cheaper.
The box is either Korean or Chinese, I can't tell, but the device is exactly the same as a single sim variant. Both support microSD cards too

If i have to guess most double SIM models are from Korea and else where in Asia because officially they dont get sold in Europe and "america" . To make one function in europe you have to open the package enter a sim from the home country and use it for 5min. So you buy a open box from a unknown seller. This might push the price down. This is pure guessing.
@From0toHero, I wouldn't agree on necessity of homecountry sim - there is a lot of offers on eBay of factory-sealed, country-unlocked 955FDs (no mentions about specific activation flow, should work OOTB).
But after some investigation I would agree that low price tag comes from gray import and blurry warranty scheme (declared as "US return address, foreign manufacturer warranty" ).
Though I've never bought officially imported and certified devices because in my country it automatically means cosmic price =)
As for ROMs compatibility , currently all ROMs are stock-based and F/FD compatible, but I'm interested in possible AOSP developments.

Where are you from mate?
From Belarus.
Btw, appears that FD is officially here: the only retailer sells it for $1030.
I got et the distinct feeeling the s8 dual sim is much more widely released than previous samsung dual sim phones. mine is the Ltin American version i bought locally in the caribbean and it comes with officla Samsung warranty in-country. Previously, I had bought the s7 Edge from Amazon, it came with "international waranty", which actually meant NO international warranty, when i cracked the screen, i had to have the phone sent back to egypt (which is where the Amazon seller had sourced the phone from), local Samsung service refused to repair the phone even though i wasnt (and couldnt, as it was accidental damage by way of clumsy fingers)) asking for in-warranty repair but was going tonpay the full repaur price.
Not sure why these are cheaper - at 1030, there is nothing cheap about these. The 64gb s8 plus I got in Trinidad cost 910 US$ - thats the cheapest I could find in-country.
Note 7 FD or dualism were also cheaper. I have purchased both and only use one sim lol. Both worked perfectly.
Sent from my S8+Rooted

Difference between model numbers?

Quick question. I always buy my handsets from the uk but iam currently on holiday and i saw the note 10 in dubai. Tempted to pull the trigger as the price is better then back home but what's the catch?
Would there be any features id miss out on or are they exactly the same device?
I never have any issues using my eu/UK unlocked device when abroad so i presume i shouldn't have any issues using an unlocked handset bought in dubai and using it in the UK / EU??
