hello all,
id like to start off in thanking you all all for some of the fantastic roms some of you have made... i like little touches in all of them and i thought i would have a go at customising mine to my own perfection.

but i know i cant use this on mine because i have a Wizard G4 and thats for the elf.. ive cid unlocked it so that i can flash any G4 OS only rom using that Hardspl thing!! (sorry forgot what it was called)...
i really like the black glossy background thats in all the folder views and the icons and everything about it from that link^^^. i wanted to change the font so that it was like the 1 from that link too... i like the way it moves the icons down the side when you go into a folder too,, is this possible on the wizard??

Windows Live (newest version) because i use hotmail for emails and messenger to talk to my mates.
i seen someone that had on their today screen the option to read emails as soon as they came thru and it notified you on the today screen like it does with new SMS messages...
i really like the iphone dialer and i'd like to see which contacts are ringing me so is there a phot contacts program??
i'm not to bothered about any of the closing programs or task managers or commander stuff or battery bars,,
if someone could help me find the things i would need to make a rom like this i would really appreciate it.
or if anyone can reconmend something that shows the info when emails arrive on the today screen then that would be cool...

I searched and could not find the answer...
Do we know how to change the Contacts button at the bottom and the Missed Call widget to point to some other program? I would like to open Phonex's contacts and missed calls.

I think with MaxManila you can change your homescreen layout.. but how exactly?! Didn't try it ;-) Maybe you want to try it?

give S2U2 a try, i love it!
i prefer to keep the WM6.5 screenlock.
and the real problem for me is when the screen is not locked, i want a slide to answer (so s2u2 wil not change anything about this?)

Use "SmartLock" . Is the best way to do what you want.
sorry but smartlock is not the solution to my problem...
even if i ask to smartlock to lock with an incoming call, it's the Acer dialer that appears firts and not the WM slide to answer.
There is a simple solution to deactivate Acer Dialer and to use WM Dialer.
Download Advanced Config Go to Phone / Dialer / Disabled
This solved my problem.... Im using resco's contact manager for "slide 2 answer" and acer's call handling was dominant, thats why i had to disable this dialer...

your method works great, however the resco manager S2A is quite awfull...
has i did not found any skins i would not keep this slider
no way to have a htc dialer cab????????

its a shareware proggie, which can be bought at resco.net
another slide 2 answer proggie which is for free is s2u2, its freeware just google it. many skins can be found on this forums too

i think acers call management wont appear anymore if you disable acers dialer via ad config tool. im using phonex atm and acers phone management doesnt appear anymore
have you guys tried stopping the acer dialer from installing in the first place? it is still in the extrom right? so it means that it installs after you set up your device (calibrate screen, input time and date...)
which means if it was not installed in the first place, you can use any dialer you want... i might be wrong though, i have used several acer and eten phones and all of them uses the "push camera button" while the system tries to instal oem cabs to stop it.

I have problem with the Manila 2.1 interface, after creating rom for my Xperia x1 with visual kitchen (wm61+xperia+manila 2.1), and installing the Call history tab, pressing on the Home tab on call history dont working. Originaly if i press the call history on the home tab then manila go to the htc call history. I dont like the htc call history i want remove.
two way, if i have missed call:
-link to the wm / xperia dialer call history
-link to the call history tab
But with my little developer skill i cant make this.
Anybody can help me to making link from manila home call history to call history tab or to the original wm call history?
