Migican is finding no network - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

A few month ago I flashed Cotullas WWe 3 Rom on my magican.
It is perfect!!
But since a few days my device doesn't find a network anymore.
I tried a hardreset, didnt solve the problem.
I flashed Radio Rom 1.12.10, didn't solve the problem.
What to do?
Can somebody pls help me?
Thx a lot.

i have the same problem, no service, and i have also changed the antenna.
Please help us...!!

Same problem. Signal appears for few secs, then disappears.
WWE_02

That problem happens to me too!. Today, at morning the signal was weak and I lost it for moments, but all this happened when my Qtek crashed in ground. Coincidence??, I don't know, but I solve it to remove back top (where is camera, ext. antena and speaker) and put a metallic antena to both contacts to grow the signal
Just try that.

IS there noone who knows a solution?

Mine is workin now! Accidently i did HW Hard Reset xD
Now, its (partially) working!
The only thing thats not fine enough is that i wont find network until i make it sleep and wake.

i've changed the antena with new one but with no benefits.
I've read that someone solved changing the battery. I've ordered a new one now, if i solve, i will tell you.

I've got the same problem - no network!! But the battery is a new one (~4 month), so this can't be the reason.
I didn't change anything, but experienced that times without any signal seemed to increase over a period of some days.
Has anybody an idea? Is there some kind of GSM-"overclocking" in the Cotulla-Rom possible, which caused the GSM-module to crash?!
thanks in advance!
cheers, Sebi

I am asking everyone with the network problem.
Does your magician find network when u connent it to a WALL charger? (possibly any mini usb charger wil work, cuz even an Motorola charger works!)
Ps.
Often my magician wont get signal while at home until ill connect it to a wall charger. (possibly due to the BIG number of electro-things i have turned on)

i change also the battery..but...no result...
no service at all.
What do you mean for "wall charger"?
I usually charge the battery by connect my magician to the pc with the usb port.

unfortunately a wall charger doesn't solve the problem. if the phone is not connected to a charger a big issue is its battery drain (as a secondary cause) which can result in a total battery drain over 24h because of not finding the network.

Had the same problem.
Try removing SIM card and clean it up or put different SIM card in.

Radio / No signal Problem

Hi guys,
My polaris randomly decided to stop recieving a signal the other day,
it still recieves GPRS data, but no GSM signal, no matter which network etc I select. (No Service Icon.)
First I tried different simcards etc in the phone but this didnt work, I then swapped over the board of the phone, thinking this must solve the problem but it hasnt.. (different Rom, Radio aswell)
Same as before the phone recieves a GPRS signal but no gsm signal. Just the exclamation mark next to the signal meter...
I also tried updating both the ROM and radio on the phone, and the board that I swapped in was from another polaris I had with a cracked screen that was working fine before...
( I used, outer casings from the suspected broken radio phone and the board from the cracked screen phone which had no reception problems.)
What could be the problem guys? Which parts of the phone affect the signal???
( The phone is actually an orbit 2, I have had it running for over a year now on the Mamine rom, and unlocked with Olipro and never had a problem, it also doesnt work with an O2 sim incase anyone suggested it was simlocked or something.)
Cheers,
Dan.
bump- please help guys!
were you moving around? could always be a carrier problem....
if gprs is working ok it's doubtful to be radio rom/hardware
Yeah, it is the same everywhere, just the noservice notification.
Other phones work fine, so def a prob with the phone...
Could O2 have locked the phone for some reason?? It was purchased via ebay, could it have been stolen or something? Would it have had 2 have an O2 signal for O2 to block the phone??
Cheers...
I have a same problem. Firstly, when i turn on my HTC TOUCH CRUISE. It says, no network, than after 5mins, it says, no sim card inserted. Can anyone help me what's the problem?
This problem seems to be popping up a bit around the forum...
Is it with O2 Orbit 2's only?? Could O2 have sent something out blocking some of the handsets via the imei or something?
Is there a solution??
Cheers guys,

I also have strange problems. My Cruise dropped on the floor on a skiing trip last March, and since than it has strange network problems.
It mostly says 'No service', but sometimes (randamly) it says something like 'Searching...', 'Denied,Searching...'
I'm not sure if I translated this correctly, I have a Dutch version of the standard 6.1 ROM. I hard reset, re-flashed to original firmware RUU_Polaris_HTC_NLD_3.13.404.0_radio_sign_25.85.30.07_1.59.42.15_Ship.exe
Since this afternoon it is not connecting at all. No reception at all.
My provider is the Dutch one Vodafone (it shoud say '3G Vodafone NL'). Funny is that the those items are unchecked in the network selection (phone --> network --> select networks), but that seems to be the case with other users as well.
Does anyone has a clue?
Greetings,
Murwin.
Same Problem
My Polaris randomly goes offline and gives the ! mark next to the signal meter. I have tried changing Radio ROM and it makes not difference. I think the problem is with the SIM Card reader. I put some sponge tape over the top of the SIM Card reader so it puts even downward pressure on it and the problem is almost fixed. It still randomly goes offline, but only once a day now. If anyone has had any better luck, please post the solution here.
Thanks

[Q] [HTC One S][S4] No singal bar, cannot make phone calls, but can navigate!

Hi all,
i've got a HTC One S (S4)
- Unlocked bootloader
- Custom recovery (twrp)
- Root
- S-Off
The problem that im having is that the phone recognizes the SIM, can connect to the internet and navigate at good speeds (I can also see the H and 3G icons), but it has no service on the signal bar and I cannot make or receive calls.
Thinking it was a radio issue, i flashed many radios for Ville i found on this forum, but no improvements at all.
Any thoughts or suggestions are highly apprisciated.
Many thanks!
PS ive tried other phones, so its not the sim.
I experienced these problems few months ago.. GSM antenna cable was unplugged after a fall.. I just disassembled the phone and connected it.

yeah but i havent droped once mine,
could it be just software issue?
PS i forgot to tell that sometimes it receives for a couple of minutes the signal bar and can call and send sms.
Found out that the owner hadn't paid phone bills and the phone was blocked by IMEI, so only option was resell it for a lower price.

Same problem for me. After a fall (not sure) no mor signal, only emergency calls. What have you done exactly? I've disassembled it, found the antenna cable and it seems ok: unplugged and plugged again, both connector (the one at the top and the one at the bottom).
many thanks

self reseting and self switching off

Hi, this is a topic already solved. I think it might help you.
In 5% of problems it freezes, 75% i switched off, 20% resets. I install different kind of ROMs, clear cache, data etc etc. I noticed, that problem happen usually if my s2 is in "move", when I put it down on something or keep it in pocket while walking, driving a car. I also suspect it has something to do with data transmission and switching GSM towers. I disassemble it and solid once again battery connector to mainboard - did not helped.
But I was close... solution was the battery connector springs sometimes hangs and block it self so it did not had connection to battery. All is needed to do is to band it a little bit, so it will not block anymore. I do not know if this is a manufacture problem or not, I guess there are not so many hanging and freezing i9105p. Good luck!
p.s. additionaly i blocked battery with small paper sheed so it has no chance to move - 5 days without problems

[Q] Signal and Antenna layout / schematic

Hello,
Firstly I'm looking for a comment from an expert who has taken Nexus5s apart before. Also I'm beyond the point of returning the phone as this fault developed after replacing a screen and ribbon cable (after I smashed my phone badly). Any help or advice would be great.
So since screen and USB flex replacement on my D821 i notice that my phone signal will connect with full bars, then drop completely, I can also only get 2g where i was able to get higher. The same sim works fine in my nokia. The Wifi Signal is fine and gps works ok but the 'no service' thing makes my phone unusable. I have tried making sure all contacts are clean and even replaced the loudspeaker unit and the black antenna cable but to no avail.
Can someone put up a picture of exactly the components that are involved in the phone signal / 3g setup? Is it possible something could have been damaged on the mainboard to cause this? I can search for networks, connect (sometimes) then it will just cut out.
I tried google for days but cant find a schematic. Basically im trying to determine if there are any other parts i should try exchanging before giving up. It makes no difference how i hold (or dont hold) the phone.
Thanks

Nexus 5 wont receive 3G or 4G Network signal(Fixed)

A day ago i came through a issue with my nexus, as i connected my charger to the phone, the phone went into a bootloop and wouldnt get into recovery, fastboot, bootloader mode the fix i found on some thread on xda was to remove the back panel and then reattach the battery circuits. This worked exactly as described the phone booted properly.
But since then my nexus wasnt switching to 3G signal, i wasnt sure if it was my sim/operator failing to provide signals, finally after a whole day returning from job i realized that its my nexus thats not connecting to 3g and not the sim operator as i tried using my sim on my mothers phone.
I couldnt find any fixes on the internet and so I went through the internal hardware specifications and from ifixit i learned that reconnecting the antenna wires solved the issue for me.
ive attached the image below for reference on what im actually talking about, ive seen many people suffering with the same problem hope this helps, please do let know if this helped :fingers-crossed:.
Thanks & regards
Tushar
