Volume up/down don't work correctly anymore - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hi,
My Touch Pro's volume buttons suddently aren't working correctly anymore. When I press one of the buttons, the volume screen is displayed correctly, but when i press the volume up/down key, the volume doesn't go up/down, instead it works as an arrow up/down on the currently running program.
What can I do to restore the volume keys function?
/Carl

Bump - no one with an idea?

Sounds like you have remapped its function either with a mapping app, tweaker or reg edit. Basically undo what you did to get back to "normal" operation.

Volume Up/Down acting weird - Every press toggles volume/Today screen

Right now when I press Volume up/down it brings me to volume control. However, another press brings me back to Today screen. Soft reset doesn't help.
I am using SPB Pocket Plus, AE Buttons and P.D.A.C Hebrew support (the last one is more recent).
AE Button doesn't touch the volume and I *guess* that the Hebrew Support is to blame but I don't see why it would happen.
Anyone saw such behavior? Any suggestions?

A few odd button press questions. Please?

1. Pressing the Volume Up/Down button once will have the Volume Slider appear. Pressing it twice will have it appear, but muted. Is this built-in?
2. Sometimes when I soft key something, especially in messages, the resulting menu will auto-scroll down to the bottom. Why?
Ad.1 In my Vario it changes gradually, even if I press very quickly two times down it just moves 2 times down on a scale.
Ad.2 I've noticed that it happens when I press the soft-key quite long, probably the device already swiches to next menu and then 'thinks' it's a second press - because on the 2nd menu usually in the same place is an arrow that allows you to scroll down.
My question is - in portrait mode i have problems pressing left/right on the phone, the same in landscape mode - up/down. rotating the touchpad works great and moving up/down in portrait / left/right in landscape.
Is this a common problem? Or maybe it's not possible at all?
Normally I use the keyboard's left and right, but if I use the pad's it works fine as well... what exactly is the issue?

I can see something similar:
pressing the Volume Up/Down brings up the volume screen (system/ring in normal mode or the in-call one during calls), and a second press hides it!
No chance to change the volume without touching the screen
seems to be fixes with S2U2 1.36 and these settings

AE Button Plus Not Working

Hello all,
I installed AE Button Plus 2.6.6.1 in my Topaz, with ROM 1.39.405.2 WWE. I tried unsuccessfully to remap both the Windows and the Back key, but nothing happened... By the way, the Back key did not exist, and I used the "Add Key" function to capture it; however, when I pressed it, the check box "Win Key" in AEBP was auto-checked... In any case it doesn't matter much, since as I said neither it nor the original Win key worked...
Has anyone used AEBP in Topaz with success? Any other key mapping software you would recommend?
The back key is actually the OK key.. that's confirmed.
I know the results of using the software is abit unexpected.. you'll have to experiment around.
I use it for my VOL up and down keys, and mapped it to UP and DOWN respectively. When I press and hold the keys, thats when I get to control the volume. Generally, my volume is always set to max, so Up and DOWN functionality is more important for me.
Now.. I can use my VOL up and down buttons to fast-forward and reverse video playback in CorePlayer
It seems like Manilla is blocking the Win key and OK/back key.
With Manila disabled you can control all keys. Note that you have to map all keys once you have mapped some of Win / Ok / Call End. AE shows this info too.
And my mapping :
Vol Up/Down single press - Arrow Up/Down
Vol Up/Down long press - Vol Up/Down
Call Start single - Call start
Call Start double - Left Softkey
Call Start triple - Task manager
Call Start long - Enter
Win Key single - Left Arrow
Win Key long - Start menu
OK Key single - Right Arrow
OK Key long - OK/Close
Call End single - Call End
Call End double - Right Softkey
Call End triple - Screen On/Off
Works great and I can control most of apps without tapping (really useful in Total Commander, I have really small font in there)
But there is a problem controlling games - some of them ignore AE Buttons - and for the others the key presses come too slow.
Have fun!

So you mean that if I want the AEBP to work I must not use TF3D? Then there is no point in having it...
That's right, after deactivating TF3D I was able to map all keys.
Maybe just enabling standard start menu and volume control will help (search for registry tweaks).
Since I am only needing an "OK" (or "Enter") key (like the one in TD1), is there a way to do it myself by modifying a reg key? I also searched Advanced Config, but it seems to offer only soft keys remapping...

Volume UP is not working properly

Hello!
The button of Volume UP of my B68M phine works up to 50%, i.e. :
If I press it once brings to Homescreen and if instead I do a long press the button works fine (the volume goes to max.).
There is no doubt that the button itself is not faulty (it would not go home).
Then I did a remap keys, exchanging the Camera button with Volume UP button.
For the remapping I modified the files .kl in \system\usr\keylayout
In this way the Volume works 100% BUT.....if I press the volume button, the camera is not activated and the phone brings to HomeScreen again.
It seems that the Volume UP button is connected permanently to HomeScreen.
Problem of electrical ground or ROM ?
Can someone help me ?
Thanks in advance
Gil

[Q] Utilizing volume buttons

Id like to know if there is a way to use say the volume down button to quickly activate an app which is running in the background. I am thinking of say double pressing the volume down button to activate my app. Is this possible?
