Hello,
i am trying to run a mobiforms applet on an HTC Touch and utilising the JBED java software.
mobiforms comes with a wizard to deploy the Java environment and the LNK file. however the LNK file mobiforms makes is this:
255#"\Windows\evm.exe" -Djeode.evm.console.local.keep=TRUE -cp ".;/temp/Mobirun.jar" Mobirun \temp\JBCLIENT.fml
When i try to run the form it says it cannot find evm.exe and quite right, this file does not exist.
Is this an older version of JBED it's looking for? If so how can i get the form to run with a newer version?
thanks

Does anyone know where I can find the cab file (and it's name) for the midlet manager on the HTC PPC Phones?
TIA
Here you are, copy the file to your PocketPc folder and run it.
Can I somehow run Java3D apps on my TaoJava 10.1.2.76 Midlet Mgr?
I know that I need jsr-184 (M3G) but where can I find CAB file with installation of the file I need? Please help.
I have tried to open .jar files on the device and it's seemed to fire up some java platform that supports those files. it asked me something about where to install but there was only one option <root>
when I click install it installs and everything work well, but the problem is that I can't launch that java manager in any other way... I mean there is no "java" or "esmertec java" or anything in my programs folder.... Maybe some cleanup software like "sktools" deleted the shortcut or something ? How can I get it back ? Any other way to launch it? The application seems to work, the only problem is that I can't launch it...
I have htc touch cruise with the default rom.
PS:
Sorry for double post, posted in wrong section....
Thanks in advance.
if i were you i'd look for the midlet manager in \program files\
and use a tool like total commander to make a shortcut in \windows\startbar\programs myself
there is nothing relared to midlet maneger in program files folder either....
i even tried to search for files contzining "mid"... nothing relevant found.
Should that manager come preinstalled on the device ? As I didn't install anything... maybe I can reinstall it to get it fixed ?
Is there anywhere I can get that java manager from so I can reinstall ?
Just create a shortcut, that points to windows/java.exe
(at least that's where i found the app)
I don't have java.exe in windows folder :-(
Just found what you're looking for
windows/jbed.exe

Very cool that the TC includes the jbed midlet manager. Opera mini runs really well using it.
Hey,
I just flashed my phone to WM6.1 v1.4 (stable), and it workes fine to me for so far, but i can't find a java platform program (in the official rom 'esmertec java')... Where can I download a program such as that one because I'm used to use lots of java apps...

Java platform is always there in the ROM. The name might neccessarily be Esmertic Java, it can be 'esmertic' or 'java' or 'Esmertec Jbed', but it it certainly there in the rom.
Thnx,
found it, there was just no shortcut to it in the Start Menu folder, so I made one...

It may have been in the "Expert" folder.
Indeed, but in WM6.0 there was a shortcut in the main start list... I found the shortcut later in the expert folder when I was just trying the new features and programs...
I have the Neonode N2 phone -- it's a great little phone . I'm trying to install a Java Midlet Manager on it, but I'm not sure how to proceed. I went through Werner Ruotsalainen's article located below but still did not find any definitive answers:
http://www.smartphonemag.com/cms/blogs/3/the_java_midlet_bible
The N2 is unique phone -- it's got an IR-based touchscreen, but has a resolution of a smartphone (176x220). The only thing I could find on the Internet about installing Java on the N2 is this old article in German:
http://atomlabor.blogspot.com/2008/05/java-on-neonode-n2.html
However, I am not sure how the midlet manager mentioned in this article (weme-midp20-wm2003-arm_22.CAB) compares to the other ones out there. Mr. Ruotsalainen's bible seems to imply that only Coretek Delta Java Manager supports 176x220 resolution, but I'm not certain.
If anyone has experience installing a midlet manager on the N2, could you please tell me exactly which CAB you installed?
Thanks,
Tom

try it like i wrote !
install the first cab after that the second one !
like on http://blog.atomlabor.de/2008/05/java-on-neonode-n2.html
or on http://forum.neono.de

you´ve installed the j2me vm first (my cabs)
after that you can send your *.jar file to your N2 -via usb or bt.
than you open your neonode-file-browser and go to the jar you like.
now you install the jar in the VM and open it by pressing start.
and now you can work with your jar file
