Where are Opera Bookmarks stored? - Touch Pro2 CDMA

May sound dumb, but where are they? Found IE favorites (pretty easy) but where are the opera book marks?
I want to manually back everything up, cold boot and start over. Want all the data off to drag back on after reset.
Thanks.

Ever hear of Google? Search?
Anyhow, they are in windows/opera/. A file called opera9

I did google search, and it kept giving me an adr file which isn't on my machine, or the Opera forum which actually said you can't move bookmarks from one phone to another with "mini."
I'll look for the file you posted.

That would be the Opera6.adr file.
Windows/Opera9/Opera6.adr.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Amazing that you would look for an opera 6 file for an Opera 9 program. Even more amazing is that Opera wants to be big in browsing, but they make it so difficult to back up, move, or import bookmarks/favorites. As much crap as Microsoft gets, at least they made it simple with a favorites folder. Migration is a snap.
Thanks again, polite and no stupid donate button for an insulting, wrong reply.

Opera gone from wife's phone. Possible to re-install

Somehow, my wife deleted opera from her phone. I don't know how she did it, I think she was playing in the File Explorer. Anyway, the Opera folder was gone as well as another folder called MDS.
Possible to re-install Opera as it should be without having to do a hard reset?
thx!!

Backup the PIM stuff (contacts etc...) and do a hard reset.
i doubt its gone since its in the rom. she may have deleted the shortcut. otherwise try a newer version (search here for opera)
Thanks for the answer guys. Ended up having to do a hard reset.
Thanks again!
in future, you may just seach teh forum for the CAB file for the missing application...
is is a lot painless than hard reset.
Gotcha. Thanks for that. I did look through the thread about new opera versions and such, but it got a bit too confusing... so I just did the reset, but will try to do that in the future.

I know it can be deleted because I deleted it from mine. I don't remember how exactly I did it, though.
From what I can remember...
If you go to \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FavoritesEntries there are Keys for all of the IE Favorites.
Click on the one for MEdia Net and delete the ReadOnly entry.
Then you should be able to remove it from the IE favorites.
For that matter, you can probably just delete the MEdia Net key altogether and skip a step but I didn't try that.
Super. I deleted the entire folder and away it went. Thanks. That seemed so easy!

Opera Mini 5 (Beta 2 WM) how to backup Bookmarks & Speeddial

Does anyone know how to save/backup/access the bookmarks and "speeddial" files?
I performed a device-wide search and discovered 40+ references to Opera, and a multitude of vaguely named files, but nothing that stood out clearly as a bookmark file or a speed-dial file, as in Opera for the desktop.
So, does anyone have any idea of how to access these files so I can back them up?
P.S. I refuse to use the "Opera Link" option because it always ruins my bookmarks on both my desktop and phone since it tries to sync them. I simply want to backup the ones that are on the phone (TP2) and that's it.
Bump.
Can't believe no one has an answer for this, bearing in mind the conditions outlined in the above post.
Well, it's not that hard to figure out-you've had plenty of time, lol.
Been a while since I used mini, but check the sub-folder in the mini folder. It has all the user info stored there, I believe in .db files. Just back them up and restore them. It's pretty easy to use mini, make a few changes to your speed dials, then just see which file(s) changed.

Saving Pictures Off The Internet

Haven't been able to find any info regarding this. Is there a way to save pictures off the internet to your gallery? The standard web browser doesn't seem to have much in the way of those type of options, if it can't be done with the standard does someone know another browser that does? I'd like to be able to save photos I find on the web for backgrounds without having to continuing connect the Tab to my PC and transfer photos over.
Thanks
It can be done in Opera 11. Just long press the picture and a box pops up allowing the download (but only to internal SD that I could tell.)
Netfront life browser let you cut and save anything in the browser. I haven't tried it but remember reading it.
Dolphin has the long press option too. I use it for my anatomy physiology research. I make digital flash cards from Google image searches. I like dolphin because it lets me select my download location. I can make a new directory then select it in dolphin as my download location while I'm hunting body parts then switch it back to standard download folder when I'm done. Makes it easy to keep organized with this functionality.
I use the Dolphin HD browser too and find it works well for saving pictures and all around works better than the stock browser.
On another note, I do hope that Mantara gets those Honeycreams!
Thanks for the reply's! Dolphin sounds good, I'll check that out.

Found a way to print to PDF

Alright, this might be old news, but ive been trying to find a way to write contracts on my phone and save them as a PDF. I just figured it out so here we go.
One catch..you need to be rooted.
First you need an office program, quick office, polaris office, something like that.
Write up your contract, either new or import your original one you would use in your office program. The formatting may make it look a little weird, I will be making a new version of mine just for my phone.
Use shoot me or drocap, go find your file and take a screenshot.
Then you need cam scanner or an app like it.
Open cam scanner and find your photo of your contract. Crop to size. Press the adobe PDF button at the bottom, and there you go. Send it to yourself to test.
Also I had to install adobe reader app for it all to work.
Sent from my PC36100
nice find!!!
