ok so i just got an unlocked mytouch, i want to rom it with the hero rom my question is when its romed everything is technically erased right including the at&t apn so when the phone starts up ive got no way to log into my gmail. am i right or is there away around this....
you can add the apn while in setup

you have the kernel....thats it
then you have modules/drivers
they are different things
if someone asks where the wifi kernel and modem are located, they shouldnt be hacking their phone, because its nonexistent.

You need to provide a little more detail than that if you expect useful help. What did you do? What error messages did you see? What have you tried? As best as I can guess, you're stuck on the splash screen after unlocking your bootloader and flashing a custom ROM. If that is the case, read my signature.
