Fuze use in Germany - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello everyone. I recently moved to Germany from the US and had my Fuze SIM unlocked. Well today I went to a T-mobile kiosk and the rep told me that I can use the phone for regular phone service with no problems but he didn't think that the US spec Fuze would work on the Internet with their data plan? Does anyone know if this is true? Why would it not work? Does T-mobile in Germany use a different band for Internet that the US Fuze doesn't support? Any information that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Murnutz

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GSM_frequency_bands#GSM_frequency_usage_in_Europe
for normal gsm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UMTS_frequency_bands
for umts (3g)
and of cause if you got a non gsm device like a simcardless cmda phone == nowhere

itll work fine for phone and data up to 2g. if you want 3g check if it can do international bands or just us ones.

X7510 and T-Mobile 3G in the US?

Hello all:
I'd like to check whether the X7510 would work with T-Mobile's 3G network in the US. Does anyone know?
Thanks.
No, T-Mobile's bands are 850/1700, and the x7510 can only do 850/1900/2100. So no.
Hi All,
Sorry to differ (and I am an AT&T customer) but according to the GSM World site at http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/cou_us.shtml
T-Mobile operates in the USA on the 1900 band. As the x7510 is a quad band phone I see no reason why it won't work with T-Mobile.
Well if you go to the HTC site, and look at the G1's Specs, it shows a US 3G at 1700/2100, for T-Mobile. So unless they also have 3G band of 1900, the x7510 won't work on T-Mobile US.
Looks like I'll stand corrected. Seems that T-Mobile's 3G is not going to be accessable by the x7510 if HTC's site is correct, although the GSM/GPRS obviously is.
Best action I suggest is talk to T-Mobile and ask them to clarify what frequency their 3G service is on. Alternatively switch to AT&T and the x7510 will be just fine.
Thank you, this certainly clarifies my original question.
Happy holidays !
ATT 3G
I have ATT and have yet to see my X7510 lock on to anything but "H" and "E" while those around me with IPhones lock on to ATT 3G.
Edit: Oops, "H" is a form of 3G or 3.5G according to my reserach.
No luck
I believe T-mobile on 1700 (Coz my bro G1 works - with 1700/2100 for 3G while x75xx on 2100), so I only have "E" all the time (I live in CA). Except for streaming video, everything else just work finefine.
If you want 3G, might need to consider ATT at least at this point.
My x7510 Ameo works with T-Mobile US
The 3G works fine with my x7510 Ameo after I called T-Mobile US for all the settings. If you don't get the answer you want from the first T-Mobile tech call back and get another tech until you get all the settings you need.

Please dont lie Tmobile 3g USA is only 1700mhz its all over the web there is no way that you will get US tmobile 3g on anything that doesnt have 1700mhz take a look at wikipedia very clearly listed even there that its 1700/2100 MHz for Tmobile USA.

Question about unlocked phones and changing networks

Can someone explain why it I've heard that if you take an unlocked AT&T phone like the Fuze to T-Mobile or another provider, that you won't get full 3G data speeds like you do on AT&T? Isn't an unlocked phone "fully" unlocked? What would prevent data from operating at it's fullest?
Thank you! Trying to look online to find a site that will explain this and I'm not getting anywhere.
in usa it depend on what 3g band the provider use vs. what 3g band the phone have
elsewhere it would work 100% as only usa use alternative 3g bands

Unlocked Us Cellular phone to WU but wont work on At&t network

I unlocked my us cellular phone and now when i try to use it with ar&t i cant use the internet while im on the phone or find an at&t rom so i can use programs at&t offer can anyone help and i dont see a G next to to atenna just an E
Us cellular
So is it possible then to use the touch pro 2 from us cellular on a gsm network?
Thanks
yea it is but you wont be able to use a lot of features i believe ive been looking around for answers and asking ppl but no one seems to have anything to say
interesting. so what are the features i wont be able to use??
1) The US Cellular TP2 likely only supports the Euro 3G frequencies. As a result you will only get EDGE (indicated by the E) when on GSM in the US, not 3G.
2) If you want to use the Internet on ATT, you need to configure the ATT data settings (and of course pay for data) the same as you would with any unlocked/unbranded GSM phone. The settings can be found on the ATT site.
3) The US Cellular phone can run any WinMo programs that you install on it. You don't need a specific ROM.
To claim you "won't be able to use a lot of features" is incorrect.
???
I am living in Jamaica so can the us cellular touch pro 2 be used here on a Gsm network with/ without being unlocked? thanks
yes it will make call and answer but internet you need to set it up
in costa rica it works but internet does not work
wow. i have been dealing with a very similar issue.
i am using a US Cellular TP2 on AT&T, Sim unlocked and security unlocked with the radio provided by Olinex. radio version2.32.00WU. see signature.
i am using an Energy CDMA rom, and i have internet, but i have been searching for some sort of settings to get 3G. as of now i am stuck with the E, or edge data connection. i have changed all of my settings to match those of MEdia Net, but still no 3G.
Anyone have any info or suggestions?

[Q] Touch Pro on T-Mobile 4G

I've got the Touch Pro (T7272-unlocked not t-Mobile branded) and am a T-Mobile customer.
Does anyone know if this device works on the T-Mobile 4G network?
If so, what setting, if any, need to be changed?
The package says the phone supports HSPA network, but T-Mobile's is HSPA+.
The phone will work, but I believe only on EDGE. The radio bands are wrong to get 3G or I guess 4G. There's nothing you can do about it.
Thanks for your reply.
I've used it for years with EDGE, which is brutally sloooooow.
I was wondering what spec determines if a phone will work on T-Mobile 4G network?
that is correct. att's 3/4g opperates arround 1800hmz while tmobiles 3/4g opperates around 1700mhz to no matter what you do (outside of switching carriers) there is no way you can opperate outside of edge

Rastin,
Thanks for your reply.
Is there any possibility that a software solution could change the Band Frequency?
Unfortunately it`s imposible.

[Q] wcdma phone on straight talk cdma network. please help!!

Hello! I have been at this for a week now.
This is my situation, I bought a fully unlocked dual sim wcdma phone (Mpie 909T) running 4.4.2 KitKat.
I want to use this phone on my straight talk plan, but I only get service from Verizon wireless where I live.
I did some searching and found that I could use a R-UIM card to pick up signal from Verizon BUT I can not find where to buy one at (unless I buy bulk for a couple hundo). So I'm at a loss. I didn't realize that I didn't get service from at&t or T-Mobile till I got the phone and went to the straight talk site and it told me to buy a sim card activation kit, (checked on AT&T site to make sure I would have service and it showed that I would)... so I went and bought the kit only to find out that they actually don't have service out here. ? so if there is no way to find a r-uim card, would there be a way to change the radio frequencies in the phone? But I would also need a MEID # to activate on straight talk CDMA (Verizon towers). Or can I get one of those sim read/writer kits on eBay and program it to work?
I have not rooted the phone yet.
PLEASE HELP!!! I love this phone!!
I've been using the phone via WiFi from my old dx2 that's currently active.
Sadly, you cannot access a CDMA2000 network like Verizon's from a device that does not have a CDMA2000 transceiver. CDMA2000 is technologically incompatible with GSM and UMTS (sometimes called WCDMA). There are some dual mode devices, but Verizon explicitly forbids non-Verizon devices on their network. Even if you could somehow get a RUIM for Verizon, and their blessing to use it, your phone would not work unless it specifically has a CDMA transceiver in it. (remember, CDMA and WCDMA are not the same)
You need a device that supports not only the right technologies, but also the right frequencies. Most Dual-SIM phones are based exclusively on GSM and UMTS/WCDMA, and often operate on frequencies that are not comparable with US GSM operators. AT&T operates on GSM850, GSM1900, UMTS850, UMTS1900, and several bands of LTE. T-mobile operates on GSM1900, UMTS1700, UMTS1900, and several bands of LTE as well. However, most networks outside the Americas use GSM900, GSM1800, UMTS2100, and LTE800, 1800, and 2600.
You can use a site called GSMArena to check which bands your device has. If you want to use a CDMA carrier (Verizon, Sprint, and many rural operators in the US), you generally have to buy a phone with their branding or one of their partners.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news
I have similar question. Since I am currently using ST with a Verizon phone ( CDMA) could I buy a new phone to replace current one ? And does it need to be another CDMA phone? And what is LOCKED/UNLOCKED have to do with it ?

This is a very large problem. I am in the same boat. Up here, we have Verizon, and ATT. that's it. My first phone here was ATT. worked great in town. As soon as I got to my house dead.,... I bought a Nexus 6 popped the Verizon SIM in it called straight talk they registered me on Verizon's network and boom Full LTE, and VoLTE. My issue now though is I want to try other devices and it seems that the N6 is literally the only non branded phone I can use. There are some awesome new Chinese devices I would love to try and on paper have the correct signals but still claim no Verizon. I am frustrated and stumped after weeks of research and conflicting reports. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks in advance
