I've been looking for a new phone for the past month, and today I have to make my decision.
For those of you who have a Samsung Propel Pro, or have used it for a while, I've got a few questions for you guys.
How is it?
Is it easy to put apps and other things on it?
How do you connect it to the computer?
Any annoying bugs on it?
Im not really a business man since i'm still in high school, should I still go with this phone? I've looked at other phones and they're either cheap looking or touch screen, which I don't really like since its sort of hard to text and can be sort of laggish at times..
Welcome to forums
We are an HTC devices only forum, so my recommendation is:
Go for an HTC device!!
I would go with an HTC PureT, and thats like the only HTC phone there is for AT&, but its a little bit over my budget :\ Could you PM me a WinMo based forum?
winmodevs.com
In fact a lot of non HTC users members are on that site
have a look on marketplace section
you can get sometimes a real good deal!
If you like to flash roms & customize, then go with HTC & XDA
There arent as many people there as there are over here lol.

I was lurking arround for some time As many of you I was thinking about getting better phone well lets say smarter, faster and more cool. First I was amazed by iPhone but really after reading specs it wasnt that great. So my dreams went to sleep for a while and then I saw Diamond which is almost perfect with just few flaws. And I was almost ready to get it but it wasnt available yet in my country. After few weeks I saw Samsung Omnia which is technicaly perfect toy which just lacks "chic" factor (and resolution of HTC Diamond / Pro. After few sleepless nights I made decision.. I choosed HTC and reason really isnt this and that but really this forum. Its really fun seeing people help each other and searching for hidden features about which even HTC didnt know. So since this is my first post I really would like to thank everyone who participate on this forums
P.S Ill buy both Diamond and Pro so I can join some development process Maybe fifteen years of experience in pro programming will help little hehe.
that was a major consideration when i bought my pda.. been hearing about XDA-developers since 2006, when a friend bought is 9100!
simply awesome the amount of info you find here... precious info, roms, the works!
Hello there, I'm planning to replace my HTC Universal after great 3 years of working! and I'm still pleased with it to be honest!
My new PPC should has a keyboard, so my question is simple! is the HTC Raphael the good choice to go with?
I know there is the SE X1 as another choice, but I think I liked the HTC more
What do you think?
so guyz...no replys at all?
I really like my Raphael and as far as i worked with it, i had no problems and would recommend it.
There are (of course) some bugs, but they can be fixed with progs out of this forum. So if u are not afraid of spending some time in setting up ur raphael this could be ur new favourite.
The keyboard is pretty good (for my opinion), the buttons are small, but i don't have a problem hitting the right one, even though i got thicker fingers.
If u have some specific questions just ask, i'll see if i can answer.
hi there
having used the universal and then using a hermes as a day-to-day device and now the raphael i can only say that im glad i bought one!
the size of the device is simply astonishing for what has been crammed into it
what do you primarily use your device for?
the universal is a well seasoned device with much support and it appears the raphael is heading that way too!
Thanx guyz,
No problem at all with spending time fixing bugz cause really I like these stuff and I enjoy searching and fixing...that's what kept me from replacing my Universal
good to hear that about the keyboard, cause I really need it and I think by time I should be used to it...
yup, the size is a great thing compared to the huge universal for sure I'm now a medical resident...so I will use it to have some books around me all the time beside its internet & phone cababilities...
there is nothin specific now in my mind to ask, but I got a positive impression in general and I think I'm gonna buy it soon
I'll get back to you!
Hello,
I want to buy a new mda and i'm torn between a Raphael and a Dream...
I'm having trouble choosing between these two.
I mean i'm very curious about the Dream, running Android and all, but on the other hand, looking at the tech. specs, Raphael seems a bit more packed and i could still use IGO. Kind of got used to WM i guess; i currently have a Nike200...
Could anyone please tell me what's your opinion, which one would you choose...?
Thanks.
WM or Android
Welcome to forums
I´ll choose Rapahel definetly
I think Android OS is not mature yet, perhaps in a few years but not now.
Just my 2 cents.
read , search, respect and enjoy!
Good luck,
well..im having a dilemma now too..i tot of buying android phone..but i love to taste the window mobile phone..but i suggest u to take raphael like what orb said is true..but if u have little more money to spent on android phone i would take both.cos i want to get familiar with the OS...
Thank you for the replies. I guess I just needed a little push towards HTC Raphael...
Great choice!!
Then go to Wiki and to Raphael secton and enjoy!
If you are not in a rush, you could even go for the Touch Pro II. T-Mobile already has it available and it is roughly the same that AT&T, Sprint, etc are charging for the Touch Pro/Fuze.
But I agree with orb, Android is far from being done (although the Hero interface does look pretty neat)!
So I'm pretty new to this Smartphone thingie, actually I come from a Nokia 5800. Says quite alot dosent it?
I've been looking every single test I could get my hands on the last few days, and at best, it only confused me more.
I've been having a really really hard time deciding what my first real venture into Smartphones should be. I'm not a software geek nor a software newbie, so I like to fiddle around with stuff to make it suit me the best.
What I'm looking for in a phone:
Big screen
Good colors
Easy to text
Good camera
Easy to browse on
These phones are the ones I'm currently interested in:
Samsung Galaxy S
Samsung Nexus S
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc
HTC Desire
HTC Desire S
As I said, a big screen means alot to me. Its just a jungle out there, and its really really hard to choose a new phone now.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this sort of question, but I havent been able to find a topic for it. If something like that exists, then please point me in the right direction.
On the other hand, maybe I should wait for the Samsung Galaxy 2
Hello everyone,
Right now I own an HD2, and I am very happy with it.
But my contract expires soon, so I will be able to choose a new phone. But the thing is due to some changes my provider made I thought I would be able to choose a phone in late august. Turns out I could object to the cnages and now I can get my new phone in june.
But now I don't have time to do as much research as I normally would. So that is where I need your advice. What phone would be a worthy succesor for my HD2?
I use my phone mainly for entertainment so for me important things are:
Large internal memory
Good sound quality
Large screen (preferably 4.3 inch)
Speed
Android
Also important is the ability to flash ROM's but when I pick a phone that is already able to flash a custom ROM, it is probably a slightly older phone. But when I pick a very new phone I would just have to hope that it will become popular on XDa and flashing will become an option.
So advice and opinions please!
P.S it even makes me a little sad to get a new phone... I had an Xperia X1 before my HD2, but I had an HD2 based ROM on it so I have been on this forum for a few years now and I've grown attached to it. Kinda pathetic huh?
Oh I have mistakenly put this in the General forum instead of the HD2 General forum. So mods if you find this, please move my thread
I believe HTC Sensation will satify your requirements.
