I wonder if there is some kind of volume controler which can make the volume higher/lower, I really feel the volume is sometimes too low even if I got 100% on everything.
Try SRS WOW to get more controls.

Hi there,
I bought the HTC Wired Remote Control RC E100 headset to use with my Touch Pro. Now that works great except for changing the volume. When you change the volume it does that in 5 steps from 100% to 0% volume. But the 20% (final step befor 0) is still very loud. Does anyone know if you could change the volume in 20 steps like you can using your finger on the Volume control screen sliding the bar up and down?
Thanx in advance.

Did you get any answer for this problem? I've got the same..
I always have the same headset and the same issue!! Someone please fixxx
Got my Touch Pro today and it's really loud in the headphones - usually it's the opposite problems with phones.
Use your finger (not keys) to move the volume slider and you will get 10% steps...
Also you can use Windows Media which has an independent volume regulator ( (+) and (-) buttons on the screen).
CorePlayer can also play mp3 and has the independent regulator (if you did not check "use system volume" in its settings).
I'm using the E100 headset aswell and I'm having the same problem with the volume control.
I've searched around and EVERYONE has this issue (also with using the hard buttons on the side) and NOBODY found a fix or regedit for it.
I guess we gotta complain at HTC's side for a fix for this, cause the E100 earplugs are loud at the 3bars volume aswell for me, but just perfect at 1 bar!
The E100 headset is working like a charm btw, and my screen doesnt light up when im pressing any buttons..
Me too... Surely there must be a reg hack somewhere?
hello!
i have a question about how to control the volume of the sound..
when you press the buttons on the left side of the phone, the volume increase or decrease by 20%
so, it's a problem for me, cauz i use a headset with a remote on it: when i'm listening music, the sound is too loud for me! it hurts! so i press the button to decrease the volume but it goes off!
i mean, if i'm at 20% of volume, the sound is hurting my poor ears, but if i press the button to decrease the volume then there is no sound at all!
is there a way to change the volume by 10% or 5% only when we press the left side buttons? i know i can use the stylus to precisely tune the volume but when i'm listening music i don't want to get my phone out of my bag or anywhere to change the volume!
i didn't find anything in the registry.
thx sorry for my english, i hope it was understandable!
I am not sure if this will help, but I tried reducing the volume with touch and it reduced by one or two bars at a time, instead of reducing by three to four bars at a time.

well i really don't understand why there is no registry key or cfg file where we can tweak the HTC VOLUME app...
any idea?
I found that I play music and video with original player in tf101, the volume is too small with my earphone even I press the volume up to Max. I use the same earphone in ipod touch, only the half bar of volume achieve the same volume of Max in tf101. Is this the problem of player or this is the limitation of hardware? Thanks.
voodoo control app will help with headphone volume a bit.

Click to collapse
Well, thanks, i will try this.
Is there a way to disable the volume rocker for volume control. I find it way to easy to hit the rocker, usually increasing the volume. I just want to be able to disable it not break it
Not that i know of. That would be good because sometimes im watching a video or playing a game and hit the volume.
So when you press the volume buttons it bumps the volume up or down in fairly large intervals. It's really difficult to get it just right when using decent in ear headphones. One down, too low.. One up too high..
Does anyone know if there is a way to add more "steps" to the volume control?
I'm rooted.
I have noticed that in PlayerPro the volume slider is superficial and the real volume jumps between steps just as the volume buttons would. There are dead areas that are all the same step of volume.
But with Poweramp the volume control overrides the steps and truly is gradual. But that setting is buried in the app and not nearly as easy as just hitting the buttons. Hitting the buttons when using Poweramp sets the volume in the large jumps.
