Hi,
I bought an unlocked Omnia i900 for current AT&T and I'd like to upgrade to the most up-to-dated firmware and WM6.5 before starting to use the phone.
Is there any good step-by-step procedure(s) for the upgrading of the UNLOCKED Omnia phone?
I know I have to research by myself but it is hard to find out the best since too much information here.

I believe the Wiki has links to official shipped ROMs of the AT&T and HTC varieties. You may want to actually do your searching in there.
It Did Not Work.. The Mobile 6 Standard,
If all you are needing to do is unlock your Kaiser, they have an unlocking tool available in the Wiki you can use to unlock your Kaiser. It worked on mine perfectly fine, and I was running WM 6.1 -- did not need to downgrade.

I just bought today an Omnia i900 white, but it has italian windows, I want to do something to make it UK version.

Look in the modaco forums - there is a section dedicated to the omnia.

Its pretty easy to flash one of the roms but you risk turning it into a house brick if it goes wrong. Best flashed with an xp machine and use grandprix (read the modaco threads for more info).
Sorry all but....
I am simply trying to find out how to flash my HTC TYTN II from Windows Mobile 6.1 to 6.5. The only thing I have sucessfully managed to do so far was to re-flash the orginal ROM the phone shipped with from the HTC web site. Is it a problem with my phone or is the HTC ROM update program user friendly in some way (looks identical!?) that no others here would seem not to be? I have read no end of programs that seem to need to be used or installed on the PC and\or phone but no clear set of end to end instructions when using the images from here!? I have tried 4 or 5 different ones and all lose connectivity as soon as the program starts to try and flash my phone. Fortunately pulling the battery and powering back up restores normal functionality. This leads to my final question please. Do HTC write user friendly ROM update software for their devices that work without anything else needed where no else seems to or am I missing something? If nothing else assuming I need to this manually could someone please point me to where I can finda full set of instructions please?
What other than updates that simply seem no to work on my phone am I missing soemthing. I am even more seriously considering the Nokia N97 now as Symbian updates are simple to apply and work out the box! Not like these nightmares it would seem!

WM 6.5 has been announced but not officially released, so there is no HTC update. I don't know what you have been trying to download.
The only 6.5 roms available are cooked roms derived from leaked betas of WM 6.5 or roms derived from M$ development tools packages. So if you want an HTC/M$ 6.5 rom, you are out of luck, because it does not exist.

I have AT&T Tilt, barely used, Cant get help to upgrade from manufacturer no longer support. Can you please tell me what upgrade is available and instructions on how to install. Thanks very much Lost.
i recently did the Hard-SPL-V7 upgrade which i think worked fine. but now im just wondering what the next step is to go to so i can start to upgrade my jasjam to a new ROM.???
