Wifi / msn disconnecting - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro ROM Development

Hi all, i recently acquired an old O2 XDA EXEC, and i want to use it as a simple ftp server just for very smal txt files.
I also want it to stay connected to msn an an alternative account.
It was running standard 02 ROM WM5, and all seemed ok, i then decided to update to tomals wm6.5 23004 rom. I noticed that msn and the wireless internet would just keep dropping out every few mins, tried everything but no good.
So flashed back to the latest 02 WM5 build, but this will not connect to my router unless its an open network. Um no
So i have no flashed to tomals wm6.1 2108 reg, and it seems alot more stable, but i am still getting dropouts, or find msn has shut itself down for no reson. Latest version by the way.
I would like the latest version of wm6.5 with the moveable icons, but it just says error on flash?.
What can i do to correct these problems, its doing my head in.

Have a deep read on the Wiki

rom update for o2xda2s

so is there a fully functioning rom update for the xda2s as of yet, or are there still problems and glitches for bluetooth?
Have a search in the BA forums, there are several threads. It still has issues, but it is a little better. Avoid O2 active, do a corporate install instead (does not give you the o2 active stuff) or, soft reset b4 O2 active tries to install. Upgrade to build 3900 bluetooth manually afterwards (available on FTP site).

Since installing the BT patch on my XDAIIs, I've had no problems with Bluetooth whatsoever.
All of my old problems seem to have been sorted.
great thanx a lot you guys, im going to try this right now

hope it helps
´bout time!
It doesnot seem to do a thing!
I´ve been looking at "Step 4" of the install manual pdf file for half an hour now...... nothing......
Finaly got it to work
Left it standing like that overnight.
Still nothing.
rebooted PC and tried again. This got me a few steps further but it got stuck on step 6 now..... Only now my Magician wouldnot startup anymore!!
Just the grey screen with the faint USB on it.........
Exited the upgrade programm. (ctr-alt-del) and restarted it again.
Now it skipped the first part and took off from where it crashed! (neat!)
Started copying files etc.
Everythin went smoothly from here on.... Finaly.....
Damn this caused me a lot of sweat and swears!
I hope it is worth it.

hi I have ans MDA that is now with an orange rom on it from the netherlands but would like to put it back to a T-Mobile rom! can this be put on over the top of my orange rom?????????????????
worked fine for me
Hi All
I have to say it worked fine for me first time with no hiccups - touch wood!
Hi all,
the web ROM version look like not a newest version, in the xda fttp server there are iMate USA Rom version is:
ROM Ver: 1.12.00WWE
Radio Ver: 1.12.10
ExtROM Ver: 1.12.188WWE
Regards,
MMgirlMM
Worked in 1 time, did a hard-reset first to clean the device & the upgrade was painless. Only gprs now has connection problems. Anyone a solution? The gb-soft tweak doesn't help.
Worked fine for me and GPRS worked fine too! I'm waitting for the next release version with Blackberry mail client intergrated!
blackberry is supported in the 1.13 roms. At least in the dutch and german versions. I'm using the dutch version (english) and still having gprs hic-ups though, like I had with the UK 1.12. Not using bb at the moment too expensive, another 10€ per month. Can't compare battery life or speed, but seems ok if not better than before (did not re-install sbp pp, so that can account for the noticed improvements as well). in another thread it is claimed that UK 1.13 ia big-storage compatible as well.

Cingular (AT&T) 2125 & WM6

Hi,
New to the forum, I found it while looking for an upgrade from WM5 to WM6 for my 2125. A fantastic source of information! I upgraded to Phil's Windows Mobile 6 for Tornado BETA, and everything went smooth as silk... until I disconnected from ActiveSync. I have full Internet access through ActiveSync with my laptop, but as soon as I disconnect the Internet connection fails. The phone works fine, and it pops in and out of the Edge network just like normal. I read though the beta thread, but nothing sounds quite like what I'm experiencing. Other than Internet, the phone and all the other features work perfect!
Any suggestions, oh wise ones?
Thanks,
- Steve
* whew * finally figured it out... I needed to add back in all my Cingular network settings...
Here's the Cingular instructions for anyone else who is upgrading their phone and neglected to copy down all network settings beforehand...

Wifi problems with wm6

Right now i am running the .1933 tnt build by it's right. When I was using wm5 I could always easily connect to my college's wifi service and it did so automatically. Now with wm6 the wifi network does not even show up as available and does not connect even when i try to force it to. Everything else works great but this minor problem is making me want to switch back to wm5, any idea whats wrong?
Hi
I have the same Rom and the same Problem, no Wifi reconnect.
It has been stated by the cook 'its Right' at the first page of TNT.1933 that "
- Some of roms have the issue with cannot open the wifi from the first time"
maybe by reflashing or flashing the other versions of TNT .1933 solve this problem,no harm in trying.
it seems to be a problem with every wm6 rom i have used. I can connect fine to my apartments router but other places i could normally connect to very easily with wm5, i now cannot with wm6. Anyone else have this problem?
edit: this is not a problem with it connecting directly, it will not even connect manually or even show that a certain wireless network is in range even though i know that it is. I have reflashed to the same result

Use the .318 build (Jaguar, XM6, Loon kitchen). Thats the only build that does not have this problem in WM6, all the other builds have the problem.
WiFi problems w/1933
I think I've had exactly the same problems w/several TNT versions after TNT4 which worked OK. Also similar problems with
I have NOT had a problem w/WiFi using NBD 9.2 which has worked for several weeks now w/o hitch! NBD 9.2 is (relative to 1933) thin on applications so U have to track down the cabs and load. That is why I tried 1933 recently. No wifi so I went back to 9.2.
Good luck,
Jim
Cingular 8125 G3
NBD 9.2
SIM and CID unlocked
Radio 2.69.11 w/fix
I just met this for the very first time. Then it worked normaly. TNT5.0

Agile Messenger 7.4 not working on multiple WM 6.1 ROMs

I just found an issue with Agile Messenger 7.4 on 3 different WM6.1 ROMs. I also had someone else verify that it was happening and not just an issue with my phone (Thanks mcmexican). This was tested with DCS 1.7 along with uttys_Official_WM6.1_Rom_5.2.1971, and XTRM-X1.0. Agile can be downloaded here. http://agilemobile.com/wm.html and has a 7 day trial if anyone wants to test it out.
I'm able to get Agile Messenger to work fine with the February ROM from AT&T, but so far it doesn't appear to work with the WM6.1 ROMs on the Kaiser platform. When attempting to connect Agile Messenger tries to initiate a new GPRS/3G dial out, even if you are already connected with an active data session. This tries and then fails several times before you receive the standard message that a GPRS/3G connection could not be established. The indicator at the top of the screen shows 3G or H and you can still browse the web or send email.
Agile Messenger 7.4 was working fine on a Hermes with the Stock AT&T and various other ROMs (WM6 and WM 6.1) from XDA. I've tried it without upgrading the radio using the standard AT&T radio and also using the three 6.1 compatible radios with the same result. I'm willing to bet that it's something odd with WM 6.1 on the Kaiser since it works fine on a Wizard and a Hermes. Can anyone do some troubleshooting?
try slueth's or dk's 3.02 based rom..
DK 3.02 works fine with Agile Messenger. Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder what is causing the problem with the other ROMs.
did you use the auto "connection settup"? or did u enter your settings manually? that little program showed to be problematic for some people including me, so I entered mine manually. I'm running dcs 1.7
Works for me on every ROM i tested out so far.
Is it not a radio problem....
Using (payed) version 7.4

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked my connection settings and the Network Wizard set my Access Point Name to isp.cingular. I changed it to wap.cingular, which is what the stock AT&T ROM set it as and I now have Agile Messenger working on the Mobile Vista 1.1 ROM.
i had the same problem, and the connection wizard setup the proxy on the internet connections, once i went in and unchecked that box it worked just fine for me.
