still no solution on navman with xda2?

I just bought a navman 440 for xda2 but foud the pairing problem....
read someting from previous threads...
it is been a while.....does any one know how to solve this?
please!
thanks
Have you upgraded to the new rom version? I heard it solves the bt-gps problems....
Navman
The navman pin code is NAVMAN
Doesn't work with Xda II BT, which expects numbers.
Oh well - put pressure on Navman t change their firmware and O2 to change Xda II.
The 4400 is a sealed unit, there's no way of hooking it into a PC to change any firmware.
As to the passkey issue, it's Microsoft not allowing blank keys which is the problem, the 4400 isn't the only device which wants to pair without a numerical passkey...
Navman BT GPS - on XDA II
You'll find that loading the Widcomm BT stack on the XDA II (it can co-exist with the Microsoft one) should fix it from what I've been told.
It certainly fixes the issue on the Leadtek GPS units and I'm told that the Widcomm stack works with non numeric pins.
Search these forums for current location of the link to the Widcomm stack (The Towa fix won't help you BTW).
Cheers
Andy
I'm probably going nuts, but I can't find working links anywhere in the forum to a copy of the widcomm stack.
Can someone help? Please?
Solution wihtout using the WidCom Software
If you still did not find a solution please try the folowing
- Get the file http://www.angeltowns.com/town/bluetooth/EnableCharPin.zip
- Copy the file EnableCharPin.exe to you PDA
- Start the bonding dialog until you get the password screen
- Now launch the explorer and start the executable (you will get a small message)
- Get back to the password screen (if you don't find it click on the BT icon in the today screen)
- Characters are now enabled
Best regards,
Tobias

Irxon Bluetooth Mini Keyboard

http://www.gearlive.com/news/tag/irxon+keyboard
Having problems connecting via bluetooth with diamond. I did it with my laptop. The diamond asks for a passcode. Inputting anything but blank comes up with an error. After accepting the incoming connection, it asks for another passcode, this time I can't input nothing, when I input something I get an error of incorrect passcode, if I click cancel, it doesn't type.
Any ideas?
Same problem here!
I connected a logitech dinovo mini with my diamond with no problem.. diamond ask a passkey, write with keyboard and then work...
sup guys..
I have a LG MS25, it's an american model of LG KS20.
At the firt time, when i tryed the IRXON keyboard I had this problem.. but then I start to look at the options and uncheck some bluetooth criptography and security parameters.. and it works!!
Now i digit the passcode and the connection is acepted.. but sometimes, when the passcode have a "zero" char it don't works.. but just sometimes.
I'm really glad that it worked, because i got it from eBay and spent R$130,00, (almost 50,00 United state dollars) because of the importation taxes of brazil..
bluetooth cryptography?
could you be more specific. You have an LG MS25, a windows mobile phone. Where did you find these settings to disable?
edit: i found a link explaining something about this, but I can't find the setting

Also, an update.
When presented with the passkey on the phone. I click next, then I must click the enter key on the phone. The phone than accepts the connection, but puts the keyboard in disconnected devices.
That's it.
I don't have any services listed under the "select services to use from this device" for the keyboard.
the problem is the bluetooth stack i think..
ms25 is the same of KS20.. widcomm bluetooth stack i think..
I've recently bought a HTC touch Viva (opal).. and I was havin problems to connect (never happens after input the key on keyboard) , and the bluetooth stack is that one from Microsoft.. so after some research i've decided to try the BlueInput 1.5 RC4.. it's not a freeware.. =/ but it works perfectly.. i think it'll work on diamond too!

Toshiba G710 external GPS antenna

Hi to all...
I want to by this phone (actually i want to by Vodafone VDA GPS but it is the same phone as I heard), so I'm wonder, do I need external GPS antenna for this? I'm gonna use it just in towns, and on highway I won't use it in forest or similar. Here you have spec of this phone and what kind of plug-in is this (it can be seen on the pic on the web page)? If you said that i need antenna, i need to know what plug-in do i need for it. Thank you

Anyone, please...
this phone has internal GPS. I use Garmin Mobile XT to navigate. The only problem is sometime it takes too long to lock GPS satellites. Once they are locked, the function is fantastic.

[Q] Question about "mini bluetooth keyboard" and drivers

Hi,
I have one of those generic mini bluetooth keyboards. It works on my Asus A696 (WM6.0), apart from the fact that it does not recognize the "fn" key; which is needed for some less important things (modus change, contacts, ...); but also for some rather important things like the question mark "?" .
I did some research, and I installed BlueInput, which is included with most "mini bluetooth keyboard"s (but apparently not with mine). Anyway, installed it and it did not recognize any keyboards. Turns out that it is not compatible with the broadcom bluetooth driver, which is used on my Asus device.
So I downloaded the special "broadcom version", and now it works. Not all "fn" functions do, but at least the more important ones like the arrows and the question mark do.
Point is, (although I've set BlueInput to auto start) I have to put my keyboard on discoverable mode always before I can use it, and reconnect it manually in BlueInput (have to retype the "binding code" etc.). So if I disable bluetooth (which I often do to preserve battery life), if I put the keyboard off, if I soft reset my device, ... I always have to go through all that hassle again; quite stupid if you know that with the built-in Windows keyboard support, it immediately automatically connects at the moment the bluetooth on my device is on and the keyboard itself is on.
So my basic question (if you're not too tired after this long intro )is: how can I use my bluetooth keyboard with which driver, having the same facilities as just connecting through Windows Mobile AND being able to use important functions through the "fn" key like a question mark?
I already wondered if Mobile 6.1 or 6.5 has better bluetooth keyboard support (I can upgrade to both); but I'd rather not just try it out before I'm sure that it would function.
I hope anyone can help me out solving this issue;
Thanks in advance,
Liopleurodon
