It's becaused you installed tomtom and your Bluetooth radio is now messed up and wont work. Go ahead and try it...
You need to delete these two files to fix the problem
\Windows\BtSdkCE30.dll
\Windows\BtCoreIf.dll
You can either rename them or remove them and then soft restart your Touch Pro 2 and everything will go back to normal.

I'm assuming I am not seeing these since I'm using the built in file explorer and not a 3rd party?

Right, you can use Total Commander (freeware) to delete these files.

That's what I figured, since these aren't cracked yet I haven't loaded it up with the usual stuff yet. I wound up just using the PC/ActiveSync to rename them. Thanks for you help.

Does deleting these files destoy the ability to use bluetooth? Just curious because I used to use TomTom but this also happened to me and I moved on to Igo which I like more.
nope... i deleted and everything works fine... i stayed with TomTom cuz everyone gets a kick out of my Yoda voice
I have the same problem.
But i can not delete those two files. Also try to rename them with Total Commander but it is not possible.
I already did a hard reset and then install TomTom cab without these two files but the problem is still there. When my bluetooth is on I dont have send on my TomTom. When i close my Bluetooth it works ok.
What can I do to solve the problem?? Because my bluetooth has to be on in my car.
I dont understand that other problem can rename or delete these 2 files and if I want to do this it is not working Why ?
can anyone help me !
Can someone help me with this.
Still can not use my TOMTOM 7 when my bluetooth is on.

Hi,
Originally posted in the Universal forum, but no response. So am trying here in case anyone has had any similar issues.
After installing and then removing SMAATO news reader I have lost my windows mobile 2nd boot screen.
I know its called welcomehead.192.png and is located in Windows
The file is still there in ROM and I have also copied it across into Windows again (solution offered by searching through other threads). However when I soft reset after the Orange screen, all i get is a white screen.
Can anyone let me know how to restore, I believe other users have had issues with pss reader too.
Thanks in advance. (My device is the M5000)
Matt
Having the same "problem" from the same cause for the last 2 months.....got used to it though, since it does not affect functionality....
white screen
Sorry can't help but I have exactly the same problem due to the same cause on Prophet (SPV M600) so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have contacted SMAATO, so will let you know.
Other users have had same issue with PRSS Reader and for them, when they uninstalled the reader, their splash screen came back.
Matt
white screen
cheers - look forward to hearing. Wonder if it's coincidence that we're both uk orange? You'd think there would be a reg tweakt hat would point to the second screen to load.
SMAATO replied and said they are looking into it!!
I read from some people that installing PRSS Reader also causes this issue - but that uninstalling restores the boot screen. I tried this but it didnt restore my screen.....and the uninstaller didnt remove the PRSS app completely - resulting in more searching on the web to find out all of the files/reg keys to get rid of.
I do wonder to myself why I installed SMAATO/PRSS in the first place!!
Matt
Thanks for getting back - no doubt it will be hard reset which I dread!
Have you tried that? or doesn't even that help.
If there's any chance of you listing the files/reg entries to delete I'd appreciate that as I had same problem & simply searched ppc for anything with somaato in it, so I'm sure I've still lots of cr*p left on it.
cheers
Hard resetting does restore the boot screen, however restoring a backup will give you the same behaviour - unless that backup is from before SMAATO deinstallation

Hi,
In your post you mentioned about manual uninstall. I dont know about SMAATO that uninstalled OK, but for PRSSReader - to perform a manual uninstall:
1. Disable today plugin, if it is active
2. Delete registry keys:
HKCU\Software\DaProfik\pRSSreader
HKLM\Services\pRSSreader
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\pRSSreader
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Apps\David Andrs pRSSreader
3. reboot the device
4. delete files:
\windows\AppMgr\David Andrs pRSSreader.dll
\windows\David Andrs pRSSreader.unload
\windows\zlib1.dll
\windows\libexpat.dll
\windows\prssrtoday.dll
\windows\prssrenc.dll
\windows\prssrsrv.dll
<installation path>\pRSSreader
Hope this helps.
Matt
Since I got some ActiveSync-problems, I tried cleaning out my device and finally found the cause of the white boot screen:
Older versions of pRSSreader install a zlib.dll to \Windows\ overwriting the built-in one. Now I just renamed that to zlib1.dll (couldn't delete, because it was in use) and on my next reboot: voilĂ - there was the 2nd boot screen again!!
Newer versions of pRSSreader install the file as zlib1.dll.
Cheers,

Nice one mbirth you're a star - worked no problem!
Just curious - Do you know what zlib is? and is it safe to delete it now it's renamed and soft reset?
Thanks once again
P.S. I now have zlib.dll; zlib1.dll; AND zlibce.dll !

I can also confirm that it works brilliantly!!
With regards to getting rid of the old file - I renamed zlib.dll to zlib1.dll. After my device booted correctly I moved the zlib1.dll to my storage card and all is still ok. If you have something like total commander, after showing ROM files the zlib file is listed in the windows directory. If you hide them - then you shouldnt see any zlib.dll files - unless another application has installed them, but a clean device will only have the zlib.dll in ROM
Hope this helps.

zlib = gzip-compression-library. See Wikipedia. I guess the deflate-algorithm used for PNG files was faulty or missing in the pRSS-version of zlib. With deleting that file, you have the original built-in version back active.
If you already have the newer version of pRSSreader, you might want to rename the file to something different than zlib1.dll since pRSSreader 1.3 already installs a zlib1.dll.
After a soft-reset, you can safely delete the renamed file.

No, that function not built into OS, so you need to install TouchFLO for the function.
not possible thats a real shame. the best thing of touch flo is the scrolling part.
??
can you use windows without installing it? same difference

Create you're own ROM via one of the kitchens. Don't include the TouchFlo, but do include the touchflo dll. That's what I did since I didn't use the TouchFlo (cube) and liked scrolling via the fingers. Also saved some space so that I could include the applications I acutally used.
With scroll
Just build your ROM using my latest kitchen! (ver 5.0)
Yes!!!
I got it goin' on my Custom MuhdROM_v4. I just added touch.dll bio.wav files and regs without other Touch files. Like I said it worked for me, of course you got to exchange the touch.dll in whatever ROM you using.
anyway to disable touchflo scrolling in the NBD 8.0 ROM? i think its kinda irritating when using your finger to scroll.

damn. hmm... let me check Im browsing my registry for touch.dll see if I find anything that enables it.
no touch.dll in the registry.. hmm... damn this is a tough one..
the reason you cant move it is because the program youre moving it with is using it...
if only... can you write batch script for wm? like you know a batch file
@echo off
move x c:\windows\startmenu\y
cus if you can write scripts, you can set the script to move the file and throw it in your startup,.. thats about as good advice as I can give you right now. unless somehow you can access your memory without the mobile phone being on (maybe in bootloader mode or something)
thanks anyways man. i'll probably just live with it.
I just installed NDB v8 and my cube works, but my touch-scrolling doesn't work. Anyone know how to fix that? It worked fine on v7.9.

hello, i am trying to delete FTouchFlo from my startup folder and i get the "cannot delete 'FTouchFlo' there has been a sharing violation. Having you tried browsing your device with your PC and delete from there...also use something like phm task to see if there are any hidden tasks running related to it..also ensure your registry is cleared of it....If I were you I would make a HR my last resort....thats my 2 cents worth. GOOD LUCK.

i got it fixed today. this was a lil wierd. i had touch-commander installed(trail versiom) and when i unintalled it, the FTouchFlo file was stuck in the startup file. and it would not delete. all i did in case anybody else ever runs into this problem, i intalled the original htc cube and then uninstalled it and bingo, i was able to delete it outta there.

it may interest all you vox owners (like myself), that I have looked thru the coding of that cab and have been coding all the nessesary bits for it to work on our phones. I'm still working on the cpr file (the one that positions everything), and then I will cab it all up. im still trying to contact the developer to see if he knows whys its not installing thou (and to make sure its okay to poke around in his file!)
EDIT>>
I've just noticed the developer has changed his use of the TestUIPlugin slide for the use of the welcome screen slide, due to reliability and positioning, BUT I personally use the welcome slide for shortcuts, and have had no issues with the testuiplugin slide, plus I notice the welcome screen cannot refresh like the testui one can, so i'm sticking with it. If anyone is interested in my cpr file, or others, I can post them.
Kos letme know when your cab is ready...
thank you
So.. is it possible to install the weather plugin on the Vox? Please post the cpr file or whatever is needed to install it.
If you go the original thread in the Excalibur forum, you can download the cab there and install it on your Vox. It uses the WelcomeCenter plugin which is already properly formatted for the Vox as well. Go download it and try it
I tried every version posted in the Excalibur thread and it doesn't install. It says i don't have sufficient permissions. Rebooted, tried again and still nothing...
EDIT: Found the original version and it still does not install...

The solution I found to make it work is to install everything manually including the creation of the registry keys... :| :S ....but it works now ;P
Well, now I have an issue: everytime the weather updates, my start menu dies...it just stops working...
You guys should try unlocking your device with the SDA Unlocker app that's floating around. That will most definitely do the trick.

until now everything looks good even in portrait mode...the only issue that sometimes happens is that when I update the weather, sometimes the start menu stops working...I click in the start menu and nothing happens...I have to reboot to make it work again...
I was wondering if anyone knew of such a thing (a download to enable camera flash even at low battery) or would be kind enough to provide me with one, I would be so grateful. I've tried searching around to no avail. Thanks in advance.
*Actually, or if anyone knows where in the settings I can change this at because I've went through everything I see and I can't find an option for it.
I need it too....
Last time i checked, this was in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Drivers\BuiltIn\Battery\
Change the 0 value to "FlashlightpowerUnavailable" : 1
Cheers

All you need to do is to copy Camera.exe to \Windows folder. You are definitely doing it wrong. Try Resco's Explorer for file management.

What ROM are you using and what exactly is the message?
I am using the old ROM (1.48.707.2) WWE. I'm from the Philippines btw.
I'm sorry I forgot the exact message but it did say something like either the phone having not enough memory space (but I still have 78MBfree space) or installing a right-protected (certificate) file?

The patch is intended for 1.66+ Camera. Certificate checks must be disabled as the patched exe isn't properly signed.
