I was screwing with my magic running my hero 1. 1. 1 and I overwrite the browser with the stock browser. Can someone post the browser apk so I can get the my hero 1.1.1 browser back.
Thanks
extract it off your MyHero ROM or just update again with myhero. no wipe needed.

Does anybody out there know how I can just apply the skinned android keyboard without applying the entire theme?
Thank you.
I had the same question posted in his thread with ni answer yet. All I need to know is which apk the stock android keyboard is...I don't know which one. I'm used to Sense which is clicker.apk for calibration and HTC_IME.
If anyone knows it would be appreciated.
Open he heme in winrar go into the framework.apk in th keyboard image and extract it... get the original theme from enoms thread and put the image in the dame place on that theme
Resign the framework.apk then resign the .zip

I don't have the 1.2 keyboard though. Can't seem to find it searching. Can someone post a link to it or a link to the keyboard apk?
Thanks.
I did this by accident but it works. I flashed CyanogenMod 5.0 Beta 3 and then the Googgle add on. Then I flashed the extra memory zimage. Next I flashed the NexTHEME but found it didn't work with the memory hack. So, I flashed back to CM 5.0 B3 (only CM 5.0 B3, not the Google add on). I ended up with the NexTHEME keyboard skin on CM 5.0 B3. If you flash the Google add on, you will end up with the stock keyboard. I flashed the memory zimage back. Next I used the MetaMorph app and added the black notification bar. I did not wipe between any of the flashes. So far, I've had two random reboots in the last 48 hours. Other than that, things are working very well on my phone.
Okay... open the theme in winrar ... go into system then framework
scroll down until you see framework-res.apk
open it with winrar again... then go into the folder "res" then "drawable-hdpi"
find the files which start with "btn_keyboard"
extract them and then open the original theme that enom has uploaded and do the same proccess, instead of extracting the images copy these ones into it and replace them with the images extracted earlier.
all you have to do then is resign the apk ... then resign the .zip theme
i could do this if i had access to my own computer... maybe tommorrow
I wont have time for the next few days to sit down and move the framework around. Girl is moving in...
Updating to Cyanogen beta 2, then NexTheme, then Cyanogen causes a few too many random reboots. If you wipe everything, update to beta 3, update to the 32 kernal with mem hack, JIT off, I get 0 rebooted and its beyond fast enough.
If you made an update that would be hella appreciated lolittle.

Like i said its only tested on Enoms 1.5.1
I used his Orig Theme for 1.5.1, so i assume it wont work on CMs ROMs
Im not a themer i just know how to compile the images n stuff
No worries at all - I just appreciate you making it for enoms.
Didn't work.
Can we get the FM radio apk from somewhere? or if it is tied into the HTCmusic.apk can someone post a link for either. Thanks
Check the Fresh ROM thread. I think he removed it from the ROM, which means it'll be in the included zip with all the *.apk's he didn't use.
I have been looking all day and cant find the apk anywhere.... a little help on a link to it... Thanks for reall!!!
Alright I found the link and geekfor.me/evo/21/fresh-evo-01d/#more-1491
I downloaded the zip and extracted the apk for the FM Radio... I go to install it... and after i push install and then OK it says "Application not installed"
Are there resistrctions for some reason on why this isnt working?
read that link you posted
it explains how to install it, you cant just install it from the sdcard
fm
In the ES file explorer app that came with the rom there is a folder called "fresh-removed-apks" ... select the HtcFMradio.apk, select install...
FM tuner for no sense roms
So I'm guessing the apk from fresh rom isn't going to work on the roms that arent running sense. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could find an apk or update.zip for the fm tuner now included in Cyanogenmod 6.1. I have another aosp rom I wanted to try and intergrate it with.
I was wondering if it was possible to change a ROM's default browser that's in the dock? I know I can add a browser as an app but I only use one browser and didn't want icons all over the place so I figured I would ask if i could replace the default one with the one I use. I figuring the default browser is in system/app/browser.apk. Can I do this and if so how and if I could would I be able to use the browsers version updates.
Thanks,
Soggy
Try it! Rename stock to browser.apk.bak, or backup and uninstall it with tibu. Put browser of choice in /system/app and reboot, our just run the other browser from /data/app like normal.
If you have problems rename.the original back to the way it was, or restore it with tibu...
Yes it worked great.... Basically all it did was installed the .apk so I will be able to get updates which is good and now the globe icon is now the browser I wanted to use. I had to create a CWM file because for some reason when I went to replace it, it said I didn't have enough space or something. This has happened before and the only way is to CWM the file.
Recap: What I did was saved the browser.apk that my ROM I am using had and got my favorite browser .apk which is Maxthon and changed the name of that .apk to the same thing that was originally there AKA Browser.apk and switched files shazam!
Hi all,
Here is the deodexed stock ROM from the XXJPQ version, with original Maps.apk replaced by maps5.6.0-ownhere-resign.apk.
Aditional package with last version of QuickPic, Superuser, maps (again, for those who don't want to download the full above stock ROM), Android Terminal emulator, and a Gingerbread keyboard working (the one from Kyrillos wasn't working on JPQ). All these apps can be put in /system.
[!! EDIT !!: To be able to run QuickPic, GingerKbd and TermEmulator placed in /system, put these libraries in /system/bin (or extract each lib file that are in the apk files and put them in /system/lib)]
[EDIT2 : Before installing maps5.6.0 in /system, you have to follow these instructions ]
hope it will be useful for someones !
Link doesn't works.
Anyway, thanks for that, i think i will post a deodexed XWJPI too tomorrow ^^
EDIT : Link are available now ^^ good
I've just clicked the link now and it works ...
perhaps megaupload need some time to be ready ...
Yeah yeah, its good, i have edit my first post ^^
Check your MP
Is CWM on it ?
If not how to apply it...I don't understand ?
no, its' just a package with all the apps from JPQ that have been deodexed; it's not a ROM.
To apply CWM you have to PM it's creator (in my signature).
So, I flashed a ROM and used No-Sense++ to strip off all Sense stuff. Now I would like to get just the launcher back so I can change the current Sense-theme. What are the APK's needed for the Rosie -launcher and how install those?
I have already extracted all apk's from my ROM's zip-file, but can't install them directly via package installer for some reason.
Help me out here, don't want to reflash the whole ROM just to get the launcher back
