Touch Pro Vs Touch Pro 2 - General Topics

I would like to start off saying thanks XDA developers for helping me tweak my phone to the max. you guys are the best in the business of customizations.
Now i own a sprint touch pro and love it like my wife lol.
I Went into a store to check out the new touch pro 2 and i was greatly disappointed. the only upgrade was a bigger phone. who wants a phone as big as the first cell phone ever made. lol you get my point. the only reasonable upgrade is the tilting feature, but really how hard is it to tilt the phone in the frist place..
now they went ahead and downgraded the cpu. and removed the flash and flashlight, no more pictures in the dark.lol now i hear all this stuff about the keypad being better. dont think so. i was able to type a message faster with my pro 1 simply because the keys are together and i dont have to miss keys. and im 6,1 tall and 220 pounds with big fingers and i never missed a key or had a problem with the touch screen. i love the d-pad with zoom fuction.
Vga screen was alot clearer vs the wvga. i mean i even love the styliest magnatic feature. i love all the included accessories like belt pouch head phones ect....
and the worst of all the tilt function felt like if i pulled it up to much it will break no kidding, i mean its so bad you wont wanna even test it alittle.
my finale thought i would'nt upgrade or buy the phone at all as long as there's a touch pro 1 to be had. nice try htc but no thanks.

I agree that I find the HTC Touch is looking better.
I would hate to have to deal with the flimsy tilt screen.

I think it is made to attract the folks who do not have or know enough about TP

New new mine

Hello peeps I need some advice. I have ventured away from WM for an iphone and I love it but I sure do miss my former toy. I am thinking of buying an AT&T fuze to play with in addition to my iPhone but I get some mixed reviews. Is there really a better WM option for me or is the fuze the best I'm gona get right now? I have heard of diamond screen deaths so I ruled out an unlocked diamond and I have tried to research some but I keep coming back to the fuze. Any suggestions would be great.
Ps money doesn't really matter
I just want another toy
Fuze for sure... read the review on Boygeniusreport.com... the At&t Fuze Vs. Xperia X1... these are the two WM monsters right now and the fuze beats it on price (which i know doesnt matter), Wi-Fi reception and backlighting on the keyboard... I LOVE MY FUZE i would definantly recommend one... i have had 0 Problems with mine

I agree. I love my FUZE. I tried for other WM devices but cannot make my mind to go with any other WM device (may be HD but does not have keyboard).
Of course 99% of the people in here are going to love it so we're a bit biased but I'll try to be honest.
Stock from ATT there were a few gripes I had but some simple tweaks I learned here fixed most of them. But there are a things that are still a little bit annoying.
-The whole phone is a glossy fingerprint magnet. It's pretty till you touch it, you'll spend alot of time wiping it on your sleeve to keep the screen clear.
-The direction pad sucks at going left or right. Even when you know where the sweet spot is you still hit "home" or "back" enough to make game playing with the d-pad impossible.
-I hate how HTC never puts a 3.5mm headset jack on most their phones. Using an adapter isn't a big deal but it's annoying.
Luckily I don't play alot of games, and all phones attract fingerprints so it's something you'll probably be used to anyway. The last issue I have is my video playback with TCPMP is really bad right now but I believe its a driver issue I just haven't sorted yet.
Regardless of the above issues the Fuze is the best. If anybody gave me a free iPhone, xperia, omnia, storm or whatever I'd sell it and get a Fuze.
i think what i am really missing is slingbox my iphone cant do that yet...but still i love to tinker and i can do that on my iphone it is a much much much better experienc on wm phone.....thouch hd does not have us 3g or i would get that for sure also with the fuze i can just run down the street and get it whenever i want...also the finger print thing i am used to with iphone so no big deal....i had a kaiser is slingbox any better with fuze being vga?

Not sure what the point was for this thread, but i'm closing it. There are plenty of reviews and discussion available to help you make your decision. "best (fill in the blank)" threads are not very useful and generally closed quickly.

*NEW PHONES* HTC Diamond 2 & Touch Pro 2 **PICTURES**

WOW BREAKING NEWS
Touch Pro 2 News From engadget.com (http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/16/htc-touch-pro2-is-awesome-in-ways-the-touch-pro-never-could-be/)
So, how do you make HTC's Touch Pro -- already near the top of the WInMo heap -- an even beefier device? For starters, you can throw out that nasty VGA screen of yesteryear and up it with a 3.6-inch 800 x 400 replacement. Next, add a dedicated touch-sensitive zoom slider that works overtime to take maximum advantage of said screen, then throw in a few key carryovers: 512MB of ROM, 288MB of RAM, microSD expansion, and a 3.2 megapixel cam. Meet the Touch Pro2, the official follow-up to HTC's popular series of QWERTY sliders that introduces so-called "Straight Talk" technology for "seamlessly" transitioning conversations between email, single-line calls, and party calls. It'll also automatically switch to the crazy high-performance, full-duplex speakerphone simply by flipping the phone over, so it's clear that this bad boy was meant for business. It'll launch early in the second quarter in parts of Asia and Europe with other "major global markets" following in early Summer.

I just wish it had tv-out or I'd get it (or the diamond2) I guess I'm the one who uses that feature a lot on my omnia.
Edit: My bad... It DOES have tv-out))
awesome..
now i know why peoples selling their phones
Support HTC
The TouchPro 2 seems more like the Tytn II replacement to me,
I LIKE.
The touch pro is more business oriented. . . so it probably wont have alot of media features were hoping it has .
A dump promise
Hopefully, someone will soon get their hands on these units to dump the ROMs and port them to Touch Diamond and Touch Diamond Pro.
1-very nice but the lack of d-pad and other buttons is annoying as hell.
2-lets hope the fix the very very poor performance of the diamond this time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZHYimU-VHM&feature=related
3-also software, themes, apps development forums will be too segmented. diamond ,diamont2,tpro,tpro2, blackstone,x1 are all very similar phones(internally). is there a clean and logical way to combine them.
4-whats the code names of these two devices
very nice. Shame they wont work for more than about 3 minutes before something falls off/a random onboard chip of some random nature starts to malfunction.
HTC, design phones then get someone decent to manufacture them.... you cant manufature for toffe.
"...something falls off". Please explain. I've had the Diamond for 2/3 of a year now and nothing has "fallen off"....
In my opinion, the build quality of HTC products is impeccable.

My experience of HTC hardware is far from good. BlueAngel (dead speaker), two TyTN's, one TyTN II and now a TD - all and i mean ALL of them have had at least one warranty repair or replacement. Actually , thats a lie: TD was sent back for a full refund under UK consumer law as "Not Fit For Purpose" as at the time there was no way to play music without the famous skipping/pause issue.
Just fire up google and use terms like "HTC" "hardware" "fault" "Issue" and so on .... you'll soon see what a timebomb of a device you have.
My Toshiba G900 and now Omnia have restored my faith in Smartphones and there reliability.
thats odd....my TyTNII(Kaiser, from USA) has been nothing short of amazing, and it has taken its share of nasty falls!
anyone know what carrier in the U.S will be providing the TP2??
im praying its AT&T, Its almost time for an upgrade, and I think im in love
Perhaps you got some Gremlins
My HTC phones all work like they did on their first day. I didnt have any hardware Problems and the software problems where solved by this nice Community.
Ok, i hve to admit that HTC really doesnt care that much software-wise... I bet they wont release proper drivers for these devices either...
Thats no problem for me though, as i wont buy another arm or qualcom based Smartphone anyway. Im up for atom-powered voice capable MIDs now.
Hmmm. Quite fancy the Pro 2. Shame it doesn't have a slightly beefier processor though. I'm sure these will be replaced by Snapdragon or Tegra devices shortly after I buy one!
i opened a similar thread but it's closed cause i was to slow
now my question again
what's that "zoom bar" supposed to do
but if HTC devices are built so horribly, why use them over and over?

my guess its just the touchwheel from diamond and tpro. not that usuful if you ask me since they could have added more usfel buttons with dpad or remove it for the sake of bigger screen or just remove it to make the phone smaller.
Copy from Raphael Thread
My thoughts:
1. First thing I thought was: I wonder if there will be some way to buy this from AT&T without breaking my contract? I mean, what do they do for people who got a 2-year contract with the original iPhone, and then a year later they want the new iPhone?
2. Longer battery life and a bigger screen are very welcome.
3. I hope that keyboard is a mock-up. Also, I can't imagine using a non-Fuze keyboard, let alone one of those 3-row keyboards most phones have, but it's just way too convenient to have all those punctuation marks available top row.
4. I wonder when this phone will reach stateside.
5. I wonder why the phone's specs aren't improved?
6. I wonder why it's not all-black. It better just be a mockup.
7. Almost Touch HD-sized screen, and the TYTTN II tilt *drools*
But really, it took an entire year for the Touch Pro to come out in the states, so who is really banking on this thing coming out by Summer? And what will AT&T do when I'm willing to give them 300 more dollars for the Touch Pro II, and I still have a contract?
Sure, it's not the improvement we'd all have made. Not more RAM, not a better processor, or drivers... but it's still an improvement over the Touch Pro (unless that isn't a mockup keyboard, in which case I may cry over the colour scheme and the fact that there are LESS KEYS on that phone than the existing Touch Pro) and I'll take it. Plus, the front-facing D-Pad is a pain to use anyway that I just open it up and use my Keyboard D-Pad.
Good point...

HANDS ON VIDEOS
I'm fallin' in love... no kiddin
good to see the phone in action...all though i was tempted to mute the sound lol

i traded my FUZE for a Treo Pro and why you should too.

hey, about a week ago i traded my fuze, and... holy crap i feel as if a blight has been lifted off of me. I cannot believe i have spent this long using this fuze thing. I mean it is alright, but the phone is so annoying to use (and yes i used to say it wasnt, but when you really use an easy to use phone, you realize how ****ing annoying the fuze is)
litteraly this treo is like a god send
Things i really like about it over the touch pro
1 way better battery life
2 HEADPHONE jACK, now i can actually bring my phone to a house, and play music there without having a retarded addapter
3 the speakerphone and sound (is like 10x) as good, you cannot even compare it
4 the screen is suprisingly good, and considering its almost the same size, i barrely even notice the res cuz... the touch pro has way to small of a screen for such a high resolution
5 THe buttons, ooo, they are just so nice. I can actually do stuff on my phone EASILY! like super easily
6 GPS works significantly better, no comparison
7 Call quality is better, and louder
8 video recording is better , but pictures are worse
9
...
what i like more about touch pro
1 it seems a bit stronger, incase i drop it
2 i guess the screen is better
3 its a little faster (but honestly the treo performs perfectly well)
4 accelerometer ( but really like... i think i can live without it considering all the other bunuses)
i was origionally debating to buy a Touch pro, or Treo, and went with the Touch pro due to all the better reviews and things.
man i wish i just went with the treo
it just puts a smile on my face, its just
so easy
pretty
fast
and and
awesome
THIS IS SO DISCUSTING!!!
I think i might have just vomited in my mouth slightly.
let me go grab a paper bag for ya. this disgusts me as well. whoever you traded your fuze to must be a lucky guy and knew what he was getting himself into. mad kudos for that guy
Thats funny I was just the opposite of you. I prefer the Fuze because of the endless customization. And the not so stupid ass screen size! Also after about 2 months of use the phone became very slow. To each his own I guess
im sure you dont work for treo or anything like that eh?
if by chance your THAT stupid, do us all a favor and GET OUT OF THE GENE POOL!!!!!!
lol
yes, for endless customization
and no, to all the other great things that the Touch pro doesnt just for its nice screen and a bit more custumization.
i prefer being able to come over my friends and play mp3s at his house anytime i want without adapters, and having very good battery life.
my treo pro plays mp3s for about 7-8 hours
before running out of batteries
and really, the touch pro is like a new device that is so new that is has failed in so many ways. The buttons, the headphone jack, the speakers, the battery life
i guess the only thing they didnt fail on is making it so crappy
that everyone had to custumize it to even make it useable.
The Treo definantly has the TPro on the headphone jack... but the low earphone volume can be corrected... you did an even swap though... i mean as far as $$$ the touch pro is worth more?... glad your happy with the Palm though... ill definantly stay with my Touch pro its fully customized and i LOVE IT
the palm might have the headphone jack but its not hard to find a small extusb to 3.5mm adapter. thats never my issue. everything else i think the touch pro does better. better keyboard, better screen, faster processor, more ram, better camera WITH FLASH, the accelerometer, fm radio. it also has better app support being a 4:3 rather than 1:1. htc also has a long standing relationship with windows mobile so it has great things to make it better like tf3d, the task manager that actually closes programs, a much better dialer (default dialer is an eyesore, palm!), and alot more. htc phones also have followings and development, like how the touch pro already has 6.5. the gps on the touch pro was a bit of a special ed student but with the new radio you get a lock in seconds and because of the better hardware it has faster polling so gps is better on the touch pro. i really hate that tiny spongey keyboard on palms. im sure you love your palm but i find it hard to believe that the palm would be better for me so you shouldnt tell me to convert.
well the 3.5 mm adapter is a total pain in the ass, like... since when do i need adapters to just listen to music peacefully
Yes, all the hardware / custumization is great, but the treo already comes with a light rom.
Touch, needed cuztumization cuz it just sucked so much. I have no need for TFT3D on palm, because all the hardware buttons do the same thing.
I use WSktask, and it closes all programs that arent running.
I basically put allll of my Touch Pro apps on my treo, and the only one that doesnt work quite so well is GSPlayer mp3
Its just for the touch pro i have to read forums, download stuff, roms, radions, bla bla bla
the treo.. i dont have to download it. Its a finished product. If you buy it, yo can use it rightnow.
if you buy a touch pro, you cant use it till you reflash it, and do all that stuff to it. Its such a pain in the ass to keep up with it.
I must say the treo actually seems to load webpages even faster then the PRO
most of my friends have liked the TREO siginficantly more with the pro. No one was really impressed with my modded, and romed/ radioed cool Touch PRO
but everyone loves this phone.
The custom Treo dialer is pefectly normal. I dont even look at it. If i want to call someone i press the (keyboard) letters of their name and press call
i never open the cal app first.
TF3D is only needed when you have all touch and ****ty ass buttons. If you have good buttons, there is no need for it. I got a button for calendar, for messages, weather and schedules are on the desktop, interenet is a softkey
wirless has its own button
camera has its button
and its so nice to have 5 people use speakerphone from my one little phone, and hear everything pefectly.

For the record, when ANYONE looks at my phone, they always comment on how awesome it is and all the features it has.
Never have i ever heard somone that has any palm device go WOW that so FREAKIN AWESOME!
i dono..
the touch pro looks cool when its unfolded
when in normal mode it looks like a rather basic phone with a pretty small screen for its cabaility. Its buttons suck too, both in response, and in button quality. Like the volume buttons feel so cheap and easy to press. This is not the same on the treo
the new treo looks rather impressive, i dont know how many of you have actually looked at it and used it.
but it really looks nice, and the screen is really nice and really bright. like... its pretty sweet
and i can navigate all my menues and options just using the dpad, calendar, msgs button.
and since i leave them open, they always appear instantly, and i dont need to do any TF3D sliding my finger around to do anything. i press 1 button and its done.
I agree ice. When everyone looks at my phone, they are all amazed, and when they start to use it, they are even more amazed. And you shouldnt get a phone just cause it "looks" pretty, you should get a phone that will perform well and can adapt. If you want a pretty phone, then get a treo, but if you want a good, customizable, reliable phone, then get the Fuze.
...and the God said,"let there be bozos..."
Without ignoramuses like this the world would be less colorful...more cheerful and peaceable, no doubt...but mos def not as interesting. This guy obviously is starved for attention, or just plain home-schooled.
But honestly, its a toss up as to who is more foolish...this guy for needing to be spoon-fed his gadgets OR US for even humoring him with a response?!?
*mg!*
ps...and oh yeah, can the camera on your little (be)Treo's do this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjeWehQrKjs
to each its own but there is no way you can compare the two enjoy your Palm but theres no way im giving up my TPro im enjoying the tv out looking at movies converted with projection's video converter
touch pro is still better in every way. nothing you have said so far made the treo sound better. you may just be convincing yourself that it ok you bought a worse phone.
also when it comes back to your adapter issue, extusb allows more than just audio out. try connecting your treo pro to a tv. and sharing youtube videos with your friends. or doing a powerpoint presentation at work.
well if you dont like customizing then why did you come to a website that has "developers" in its link and where people develop new software to make your phone better? You say the internet sucks on the TP. Did you use internet Explorer? Also I want to see you get a fix on a GPS signal within at most 2 seconds with your internet turned off.
hey for the first several people that posted on this thread dont flame the dude for trading his TP for a Treo, if its his decision then let it be, the raphael isnt for everyone, but to the thread starter "youre making a not soo smart decision" reasons would be
1.Treo has VERY limited customization compare to TP
2.it doesnt have light sensor and g-sensor
3.You can NOT even switch it off u have to take the battery out
4.treo feels like plastic unlike TP feels very solid all though minus the fact if u have the FUZE the back feels very slippery
5.Camera picture quality is very excellent with TP
6.the TP can be WAY faster than the treo with the proper ROM and setup
7. advantage with G-Sensor u can add aps like Touch InCall tweak which would make ur life easier by switching from in ear to speakerphone without pressing anything
8. u can still play music WITHOUT the adapter thats IF ure gonna be listening to internet streaming music(but if ure referring to listening with head phones yes i do agree the adapter can be a hassle but it doesnt bother me)
9. GPS locks almost instantly even indoors
10. FLASHING is the big + with TP customizations
but those are the reasons why id still keep my FUZE(TP)
like i said though enjoy your Treo, ure always welcome back to the forums for anything involving TP
P.S. i think youll be waiting for the TouchPro 2?
the touch pro is the epitome of windows mobile. forever customization and development. always a project to make it better. if you dont want that then i dont think you want windows mobile. the iphone or palm pre would be the solution. not the palm treo pro. go for something already customized for you in a way someone else things is better and have it developed on their time.

HTC Touch Pro vs. Touch Pro 2

hey guys, i've been using my Touch Pro for 1 year lately and i'm quite happy about it , and now after only 12 months that so many things happen (new phones come out, new OS, new Software that only fits newer phones,...) just make me wondering that, should i replace my Touch Pro and upgrade to a newer phone (such as Touch Pro 2, because you know i love qwerty keyboard phone ) or should i just keep my old lovely also my best buddy and wait for a couple few year to see how things work out , please guys, if you have any idea, comment or useful advise, just help me out so i could make the right decision
personally, I think i would say no....
the touch pro 2 is barely different from the tp1... If I want to upgrade, I want to have (at the minimum) a processor upgrade not the same freaking processor..-_-
I'd have to agree, plus the touch pro 2 does not even have a LED light on the back. No one likes to be left in the dark
i have to recomend hd2? touch2, its not touch pro 2. its newer version of touch. i think thats it
I heard that AT&T insurance is offering a Touch Pro 2 as a replacement to my phone. Called them and did an insurance claim on my Fuze (fault touch screen - had a minor dead zone that bothered me only a little bit over the past year).
They initially tried to give me a Pure but i wanted a keyboard, they are sending me a replacement refurb touch pro 2 instead.
I will miss the fuze's led light (used it often when installing sound systems). But want the larger screen.
There is really no change between the touch pro and the touch pro 2 aside from screen size. You get no better camera, no faster processor, and no additional buttons (from what i understand).
Id say if you must have a larger screen - and you can get a touch pro 2 for $50, it might be worth it. (key word is might)
Having just moved on from the Fuze (Raphael/Touch Pro) to the Tilt 2 (Rhodium/Touch Pro 2), I would say that it's not worth upgrading unless your TP isn't working right and you can get a replacement for $50. I also got mine device as an insurance replacement, and I must say, the screen is beautiful. Very large, and clear. And from a chef's perspective, it's really nice not to have to wait for packages to be ported - to have a device that's still (relatively) supported, and for which new ROMs are still coming out (infrequently, but still).
But I do miss the flashlight on my old device. I also miss the ability to get TMC updates for OnCourse Navigator using the HyperGPS driver. And I dislike that AVRCP doesn't work right, because the Bluetooth stack is completely different (I can't use it with anything other than WMP/Sense, like the old days on the Raph). I also miss the D-Pad (I know, it was a poorly designed D-pad, but it was SOMETHING). I also prefer the Raph Smart Touch wheel over the Zoom bar that the Rhodium has (whose idea was that?).
Overall, I feel that the Raphael actually has more/better features than the Rhodium - the only thing the Rhodium has over the Raphael, IMO, is the screen (resolution, tilt - if you think that's a feature). But that is just one man's opinion . . .
yes right, tp2 is just a screen upgrade...
i want a desire with qwertz keyboard!
who else? ^^
please htc make a desire pro or something like that would be great.
I'd suggest trying out the new Resco 6.00 beta keyboard and see if you like it. If you do, then go for the HD2 (keeping in mind that the keyboard will be bigger and better on the larger screen). The rhodium never seemed all that great to me, but I guess since all the new devices are wvga, like Cptn said, there are more packages available for it nowadays.
I'm using my fuze til it dies.

[Q] HD2 or TP2?

I'm going to be getting a new phone soon and being completely biased, what do you think I should get? The HD2 or the TP2?
Okay, 21 people and no reply? Not even a choice in the poll? Come on man!
I vote hd2. The display and hardware are excellent.
Thank you! Finally someone actually said something haha The people (person) have finally spoken a word haha
Depends entirely on what you want. The HD2 is a nice, high-spec piece of kit, but it's a bit on the large side. The Touch Pro 2 is more pocketable, and has the best keyboard I've seen in a phone.
These are personal observations, and it's why I traded my HD2 for a Touch Pro 2.
HTC HD2
pros:
1. faster processor
2. more memory
3. capacitive screen
4. largest screen on a WinMo device
5. 16gb card included
6. hspa+ capable (not sure if tp2 is, but probably is also)
7. thinner
Touch Pro2
1. best hardware keyboard of any slider device
guess you can tell which way I voted.
To the person that said the tp2 is more pocketable, they are crazy. Yes the hd2 is bigger, but the tp2 is much fatter.
I have the TP2 and trust me it is becoming outdated fast. Get the HD2 or better yet wait another month or 2 because WP7 should be dropping by the end of this year.
If you must choose between one of these two phones, get the HD2. I have a TP2 because I want a hardware keyboard, but man is this thing slow by today's standards.
If you can wait though, there are a TON of better phones about to be released. It's worth waiting if you can.
Yeah, I completely agree with you about the Touch Pro 2 becoming outdated, I think if they would have just waited and relaesed it with better specs more people would buy it and it would have been a completely better product to sell and buy. I'm leaning more towards the HD2...especially since I can just hook up a mini bluetooth keyboard up to it and type off of that like a super slacker
But I digress, it sadens me that the touch pro 2 is getting outdated so quickly. I don't know how I feel about WP7 right now...I'm going to have to get a feel of it before I make an opinion on that but from what I've read, I'm not liking some of that stuff and I don't like that crappy "zune" concept that they are giving it. They should make it original. To me it seems like Gates and Jobs are having a battle to see whose phone will resemble their MP3's more haha
Beside the hardware keyboard, there is another function that keeps me to stay with Rhodium TP2, that is its dominant accoustic/sound performance. It is equipped with dual speaker and dual microphone. In addition, you can turn it into a conference phone by simply turn it upsidedown and put on the table during a phone call. Up to now I did not find any other hand phones with such good speaker phone performance.
I do also have a Leo, but the sound performance is far behind.
I did like the sound on the TP2 (I've played with both the HD2 and the TP2) but the sound really isn't that important as long as it's still audible like the HD2 and I'm not really a business man so the laying down of the TP2 to have it in speaker is awesome...but not really needed since I mostly use bluetooth. By the by, does anyone know if you can actually have Android as the main Rom for your HD2? (Meaning, the phone turns off, turns back on and android is loaded without having WM 6.5 as the middle man)
I voted HD2
I find the TP2 a little bit out-dated at this moment.

Yeah, it definitely is. Honestly though the only other HTC phone that stands out to me is the HD2...well that and the G2
Bro. Coming from a guy that has both. I actually like the HD2 better. The touch pro 2 is a great phone but the HD2 is far more advanced and the modding ability (if your into that type of thing) is great for both WM and Android. I cant go back. The touch pro 2 still is a good phone. Just may be outdated at this point.
I voted HD2. I love mine.
i have the hd2 and im very happy.so my next phone is hd3.haven't see it yet;see it and wait.all the money.
TP2 have a lovely sound play xD.......its amazing and the best keyboard ever done....But other way, HD2 have a better screen, much more fast (the TP2 its very noise about speed :S)
But...hd2 can be dificult with touch screen...dont support any stylus :S
Don't get either. Wait for one of the new WP7 devices.
Go for the HD2 unless you really want the keyboard IMHO.
I have used TP2 since its release to Tmobile then switched to HD2 recently. After using HD2 for a couple of months, I can't stand the resistive touch screen that TP2 uses anymore. The capacitive touch is much much more sensitive.
Now I'm using TP2 as a backup phone in case HD2 goes out but if I had the choice initially, I would be all in for HD2.
BTW, unless you have to have WM6.5, the new MyTouch 4G and Samsung Vibrant are pretty good as well.
