Hello, thanks for helping me.
Id like to re-enable threaded sms messaging for my WM6.1 phone.
I disabled it about a month ago, but recently, ive been finding need for it.
I disabled it via this program. I tried turning it back on with the same program, but it always goes back to the default view. When i first got the phone, it had the view enabled, but ever since i disabled it with that program, it wont go back to the threaded view, even after clean-resetting the phone on 3 separate occasions. Anyways, thanks for helping, i look forward to your insight.
P.S. i did search, but all the threads i found either suggested 3rd party programs, or instructed how to disable threaded sms.
does anyone have any clues? id really like a soulution. Any useful help is very much appriciated.

Hi guys,
I have a problem, that from time to time my WM phone (Hermes) freezes and then I have to do a reset with the stylus and all the unread SMS that I´ve received in the meantime are gone..
Is there a way to prevent this, please? (e.g. a program that would automatically mark all incoming SMS as read so that the WindowsMobile system will actually store them even in case of a reset?)
Thanks for any help!
Pteropus.
nobody knows a solution..?
please..
please, help meee.. isn´t there a way to stop the unread sms-s from getting lost after restart..??
No idea.
I tried and mine works normally. I sent myself an SMS. I didn't open or read it when it arrived. I just left it unread in the inbox. I performed a soft reset using the stylus. When the device rebooted the SMS was still in the inbox showing as unread.
yeah but when the phone freezes it will delete.
it happens on my wing and on my old excalibur.
exactly
thanks for your replies..
so what can be done? i am thinking of a soft that would either keep the unread sms in its own memory on the memory card or a soft that would save it right away as read.. it is such a bummer, it´s a feature of Windows Mobile but I am wondering why this doesn´t bother anyone else...
Yes believe me this is a major pain in the a#@*! Has happened to me quite a few times and even made me miss an important appointment once...
I take it that this is simply a "feature" of the system but it could be down to a rogue program somewhere. Not for me to say anything of course but some of the third party programs available do seem to make my machine freeze more than most. Remove them and it works ok for long periods.
Funny that...
same here
that is the same source of madness for me.. last week I got an SMS from a horny girlfriend but the phone froze, sms is gone and she says that she will not say what was in it, beacuse she is ashamed how open it was and wants to play a dame now.. aaaargh....
I'm looking for something that can/will disable the use of my phone when I'm using certian apps.
ie. if you're trying to go online, any calls that might come in will go directly to VM.
Or even more unlikely, if you are in the middle of typing an SMS/MMS until the message is either sent, deleted, or put in the drafts folder the phone will be disabled without shutting off the radio, and any calls will be sent to VM.
It'd be great to have something like this, and also with the ability to pick various programs that you would like to use without being "disturbed".
Bump...
Anyone have any ideas about this?
I know this is not it, but it is pretty close:

you can use G-Profile by ageye to stop your phone/wifi/bluetooth/anything else you wanna do/ ... when you run a specific application.
i got a new touch pro, this is my second one. I always use sms in threaded format. The problem is on the phone, i have to enter and leave a conversation to erase each new txt. (example, I wil be in a convo with someone, after we go back and forth 5 times and i leave the convo, it still shows 4 new messages and i have to open and leave the convo 4 more times to erase them). It seems like the phone is marking the txts read as if i am in standard txt mode (must read each individual txt).
My old touch pro did not do this. I have been through the registry for countless hours now and i cannot for the life of me figure this out. I also did a hard reset...still does it. What am i over looking, this is driving me crazy.
Let me know if you cant follow my rant i will try to better explain it. Much thanks for any help.
same problem
i've searched all over the internet for a solution in this matter and cannot find anything!
except for a forum that users say a program worked but i cannot download because an administrator has to approve your account to see files.
so please if you know how to fix this let us know. ty very much!!
ps this isn't the problem where all messages deleted and still says 1 . its when u receive more than one message from same user in the same threaded txt message. you have to go out and come back in the thread to get rid of each unread message.
I have just 'upgraded' my HD2 to WP7, which I am loving at the moment. I've worked most of the features that I need out, but I cannot seem to find any info on a way to selct all email messages at once. I have one mail box where I get a couple of hundred notifications a day, which I need to delete all at once. Is there such a feature? Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere.
i haven't found a way to select all, but at least there is the checkbox trick on the side, but i can imagine that gets annoying.
Good morning,
I feel like an idiot as I can not figure this out. Since updating to MM I do not get mms notifications, I have to figure it out by opening individual messages and manually downloading them. Auto retrieve is checked in the messages settings, also notifications. I thought it was a carrier issue but I was able to get them to flash their baked rom, but still no change. Anyone else have this issue? Ive been googling it for an hour or so and not finding much that is actually useful. Thanks
