i was just curious as to whether certain programs that im using for my touch pro 1 will work with the touch pro 2.
htorch,mortscript(used for random ringtones),s2u2,.net configuration tool,barcorama,cab xpress,clear temp,diamond tf3d configuration tool,diamond tv,diamond tweak (and if this will not work will sum1 please recommend a similar program designed for the vzw tp2),go news touch,microsoft live search,pandora (the version i have right now doesnt display properly so if theres a more appropriate one please recommend),personalizer(changes carrier name),ppcgeeks mobile(gotta have this),and the mobile youtube app. also, if anyone knows of any other useful apps that will definitely work for the touch pro 2 id love to give them a try...
the only other question i have regards the gps in the vzw tp2...my question is, is i download google maps (or anything that uses gps) will it automatically work or is the sumthing like the "bored" fix that ill have to do...id love to be able to use gps but i tried bored's fix on my touch pro 1 and couldnt get it to work...
any other recommendations pertaining to the tp2 would be greatly appreciated
Have a look on Rhodium section, there are several for it!
No reason why the programs on TP would not work on TP2.

searching for a cube version working without problems and without installation of more programs (ftouchflo, sclpc++, ecc...) i found this...
it's fully working on my tytn II and it's possible to have vista version or htc original touch version...

i found a problem...instlling cube disappears the contact tab in htc home...
yes. I found out the same problem as well. Other than that, it works great.

This cube still requires ftouchflo and therefore you still get the issues with transcriber etc. However, the cab by xplode configures everything for you. I'm still searching for a cube that does not require ftouchflo and can just use the kaiser's built in touch flo. So far no luck!
If anyone knows of one that don't require ftouchflo please let me know!

I'm almost 100% sure that all version of the TouchFlo Cube floating around in this forum require fTouchFlo.

I've got my xda Diamond Pro today! All things like Sync with Outlook, transfer data and so worked fine. But I've quite some problems:
TomTomNavigator 7:
I installed TomTomHome on my Notebook and buyed maps of WesterEurope at TomTom-Shop. Then I tried to install the maps, but TTHome doesn't see my phone. But its connected correctly and activesync works as well!
Is there a hint, to get maps installed and TTHome working with XDA Diamond Pro???

There is no "Remove"-Option on bottom of "Programs"-Page... So I can't remove some unusefull programs!

Tomtom 7 is not supported on the touch pro and therefore you need to contact tomtom and get your money back. This has been detailed on another thread. Rumour has it that there might be a version released in October. Suggest you do a search on the forum.
Sorry, but my xda diamond pro (same as HTC Touch Pro) originally came with TomTomNavigator7 installed on it!! So it has to be compatible!
I also was able to install the one free map (only a small map of my region).
Any more ideas?

How can I remove items from the TouchFlo-Menu? I don't need "Internet" and "Weather" there!

How much was your pro on O2? MOnthly charge? I cant see it on the site, i was unaware it was released on tht network yet. Business user perhaps?
I bought it in germany, cause I'm from germany. It costs 199€ with new contract, 279€ -399€ with contract-extention and 799€ without contract.
If it is tomtom navigator 7 and not 6, then all i can suggest is to make sure you have the latest version of tomtom home. Tomtom home checks a file on the pda to check what model it is - in the case of the touch pro, the file contains a description of rapheal which is not recognised by tomtom home and will therefore not connect. I presume this was done to stop people using cooked roms from the diamond to get hold of tomtom 7. Currently tomtom 7 software is not available to buy on its own.
If its tomtom 6, then there is a different version of home to install.

I've tried editing the file, but its always over written by tomtom.
As you have a supported version, i suggest you contact tomtom directly. It may just be that tomtom home has not been updated yet to support the touch pro?!? This could be good news for all of us waiting for tomtom7 to work on the touch pro!!!! Let us know how you get on.
Looking at the tomtom website, the map download options still only list the diamond and not the touch pro. Guess it is a matter of waiting for an update.

I think it's really anoying. When I have a lot of signatures I will hand it over to HTC.
There has been work on a Today tab for TF3D, and you can also disable TF3D to use whichever Today plugins you want.

thanks for the hint. I know about MTP, SecondToday and all that and I also know about shutting off TF3D. But all of those "kind of solutions" don't really fit my needs. I want to see my todos and birthdays right when I'm looking at my phone, not when I'm switching to another tab/screen and what's the deal with shutting TF3D off?
That also shuts of most of all the good advantages coming with the new HTC phones and leaves a really bad to use Windows Mobile... ok ok, I know there's different plugins like uiui etc., but I think HTC should just listen to its customers and build better software!
I mean, what does a birthday field in contacts help, if you can't even be reminded of those birthdays? That can't be a tough problem to display them!

I've been testing out various solutions to have plugins/todos etc. on the homescreen without losing TF3D.
The closest solutions (at least for people using TF3D Version 1, e.g. Diamond) seems to be the following. Can't test because I have TF3D Version 2, on which this solution only works till step 5, changing the newly added tab to default doesn't work here yet, hints welcome!
So for all who are using TF3D V1 should this work (can't test, don't have v1 device, please let me know):
1. Please make a complete backup (e.g. Sprite)
2. Please install .net CF 3.5, if not already installed(http://www.vallon.de/download/NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab)
3. Install Manila Today Page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508102)
4. Install Plugins you'd like to use (Bsp.: http://tiews.info/index.php?show=so...yagenda&lang=en)
5. Complete the steps given in the MTP-Manual in which you can choose which plugins to show and select the newly added today tab of MTP to show them.
6. Install Advanced Config Tool (http://www.touchxperience.com/fr/ou...on-avancee.html)
7. With the Advanced Config Tool change the tabs so the new MTP-Today-tab with your plugins replaces the default home tab of TF3D. Alternatively it is said that also TF3D Config can be used to change the tab order or do it directly in the registry key: HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila/Configuration

I'm in the process of making an app for my HD2, which will be the first time I have ever programmed anything for a mobile phone
Is it possible to add a new tab? I imagine it is. So how does one go about adding a new tab? Is there some sort of HTC HD2 API documented somewhere that I can consult?
Much appreciated if you can help I've done a bit of searching on the forums and haven't found anything that answers my first question.
The only app. I've ever seen that is embedded in Manila as a seperate tab is found here

Manila TV PLayer is a tab to add in TF3D & TF3D2 but in this the landscape don't work properly.
This add-on is based on tab from orange tab tv i'm modificated to work with all languagues and other streams.

i have bought a portable foldable bluetooth keyboard but it won't work with my diamond2.
i am using the energy rom with mobile 6.5.
my diamond does see the keyboard and also connects to it but doesn't see any "service".
i tested with a mobile 6.0 diamond and it worked.
does anyone have a solution??
check for these files in windows folder:
bthhid.dll
bthidsvc.dll
conshid.dll
hidparse.dll
kbdhid.dll
they are part of service to run BT keyboard.
as maybe 0.1% of users would use it, cooks usually disable them in custom ROMs.
if those files are are not present, run a cab I attached.
It's not certain it would work, this's not a proper way. The service is run by modules, I converted them to dll. They should be added to ROM, but it might work as well so give it a try.
I know this is an old thread to bump, but I gave this file a shot in energy.09.cookie classic on my HTC Pure/ TD2
It enables blueinput to work again, and when browsing keyboard services it lists a russian character that looks like an A (as opposed to not listing anything). I can't simply connect to the keyboard without blueinput, i have to start it, delete the keyboard from bluetooth devices, then reconnect it with blueinput running in the background.
My keyboard is relatively functional, but many keys are incorrect, swapped, or nonexistant. the Nataly rom for my device worked properly without blueinput if i recall. great first attempt though, thanks.
