s2u2 causes phone not to ring - General Questions and Answers

I installed s2u2 2.04 on my Sprint HTC Touch Diamond and now when people call me the phone doesn't ring. It shows someone is calling, but their is no sound. I still get text message sounds, but not for incoming calls. Any ideas?

It may be that the slide2answer feature is conflicting with your dialler. Try toggling it and see if that helps. Otherwise it might be better to search around or post on the s2u2 thread.

Thanks I'm not really sure what toggling is or how to do it (I'm pretty new at installing programs), but mentioning that it may be interfering with my dialer made me think to uninstall and then reinstall idialer and icontact. That did it! Thanks!!!
For future reference how do you toggle apps that way I won't have to uninstall every time?

S2U2 or PocketShield

I've used S2U2 for a year or so, mainly on my Kaiser but now also on my HD. I've also put InesoftDialler on the HD and now I'm having great problems answering calls. I used to use slide to answer, which I really liked, but now when I receive a call I seem to get a mash of S2U2 and Inesoft Dialler.
I'd like to keep the dialler if I can, it's much prettier than the plain black and white looking interface of the HD, but obviously I need to be able to answer calls.
I've tried taking off slide to answer, but it doesn't help.
So, I'm looking at PocketShield as an alternative. Can anyone recommend this? If I'm paying, I need good software. Will Inesoft Dialler conflict with this too? Is it just some settings I need to change perhaps?

Comming on version 2.2
Exception list for auto-unlock.
Unlock on ActiveSync present.
Option to disable lock on calls.

Trouble accepting calls

Ever since i installed wm6.5 (and I tried a few) I am have trouble accepting incoming calls. This is different from the lock screen issue. Whenever I get an incoming call i see it and either hit the hard key or slide left on-screen to accept but it doesn't answer but continues to ring. if I slide then the slider gets stuck all the way to the left until it stops ringing.
Any ideas as to what could cause this, I have this on different wm6.5 roms, and my friend who has the same wm6.5 rom has no problems.
Please help
well turns out it does answer but takes like a few secs to engage so if i click to answer late in the ring it doesnt have time to answr b4 the person goes to voicemail. i did use trapcall b4, and have now cacelled, maybe it is causing my problems?
any info of how I can reset att to default settings like voicemail and get 100% rid of trapcall.
I got this from a different thread and saved it to my computer just in case I bumped into this problem. I don't know if it'll work on 6.5, but you might want to give it a try:
I had the same problem as many others: When data is on (active or dormant, EVDO or 1xRTT (dormant), it takes many seconds for the calls to be answered, the phone keeps ringing even though I pressed the answer key.
It does appear that one of the tweak applications created the problem, at least for some. After much research, this may be it...
Take a look at your HKLM/Comm/ConnMgr/Planner/Settings/SuspendResume
It is a multi-sz value and should be #777. If it shows anything like ~GPRS or something containing GPRS, change it back to #777 and soft reset.
When I used PHM Regedit to correct this, it seemed to crash (the reg editor never crashed before now). I had to use SKTool's regedit. I will create an export if this will help you.
Once I changed it back to #777, I can answer the call immediately when data is on, time and time again. Prior to this, there was a significant delay.
Dude, thank you so much, I cant believe it was so simple. But I'm confused how it happened in the first place. Anyways yeah, changing SuspendResume to #777 works wonders.
I've got a slightly different Slide To Answer issue.
I just updated to the newest HTC stock rom for my Touch Pro.
I noticed on the first call that Slide to Answer was part of this rom.
It seemed to work well but suddenly I lost the slide button. The green bar for answer and red for reject are still there but the slider itself has disappeared. The only other thing I have changed since the rom upgrade is to add a cab file (from an XDA thread) that restored my Chinese fonts. Could something in that have disabled the button graphic?
What else could it be? How do I get this button back?
Also, is there a way to customize the Slide to Answer screen?
Rom: 5.07.707.2 WWE

The Slide-to-Answer, for whatever reason, never worked right on my Fuze, so I just disable it.

How to disable the Canvas dialer curtain?

HI all,
While receiving a call, the Canvas always comes with the curtain which could slide down to have all options, can change registry to disable this? Quite troublesome for this function...

To Disable the Canvas install Rhodium Dialer

Link below works well on Topaz Orig WWE ROM posted by qbus00
He made an excellent job:

I didn't like the curtain either and followed the thread kindly given by jpfa.
Whilst the dialer works well, one word of warning - if you install this, it is not so easy to uninstall.... I found the bottom line of telephone numbers (which includes the number 0 which is used in virtually ALL calls) becomes hidden after un-installing.
The part about the pop-up message notifying you that you need to put the phone to your ear after disconnecting a headset is quite annoying. I think on balance, more annoying than the curtain in the first place..... If you don't connect a bluetooth headset, this won't affect you, but if you do..... Well, you've been warned!!!
The end of the story for me is that I re-installed the Rhodium dialer. But I wish I hadn't installed it in the first place!

Dialers on top of dialers, conflict [6.5]

Using EnergyROM Genesis, no manila, on my Raphael, I've now installed the new Rhodium dialer with slide to answer. When getting a call, the WM dialer and the Rhodium seem to conflict. Sometimes, the slider will work and sometimes the soft keys that I recognize from WM will work.
Being worn out from previous experiences with S2U2, I installed Chobit Smartlock, which has its own slide to answer. Wouldn't you know, now there are three apps in conflict when I have an incoming call, with each only partially functioning.
How can I preserve the functionality of one of the non-WM slide to answers and mitigate this conflict? I'd really like to keep the Rhodium dialer and Smartlock is working for me otherwise, as well.
I know this is somewhat a combination of known issues, but my searches couldn't find this exact topic.

[Q] Trying to remove lockscreen...

Before I discovered all of these ROMs on this forum that were somewhat debloated already, I spent a lot of time going through and debloating it myself to get it exactly how I want it and make it as vanilla as possible.
Along that train of thought, I'm having a heck of a time with the lockscreen. It's easy to rename or remove htclockscreen.apk, same as the Inc2 and TBolt. However, upon doing that, while the phone does revert back to the stock Android lockscreen, you can't answer an incoming call while locked. You have to unlock it, and then it appears as though you're already in the call - therefore all you can do is "end call" and call back.
For a period, Widget Locker seemed to remedy this, but it was inconsistent, at best. I've also messed with some of the idlescreen apk's (related to the Sense 3.0 "apps" within the lockscreen), to no avail. What am I missing?
TIA...
I think you have to select the option 'Hide Incoming Calls' in WidgetLocker settings for calls to work properly. You still have to unlock before answering, though. Unfortunately, that happens when you disable the lockscreen completely. I got used to it now. After unlocking I see the incoming call and have the option to answer or decline.
Definitely better than not being able to answer at all... thanks for that - I'll give that a shot.
That definitely did the trick... honestly that's not a bad feature anyway - decreases the chance of a pocket answer, and an extra swipe is no big deal to me.
What's weird is, in my testing, the other way worked fine as well... i.e. it came up normal before enabling "hide incoming calls". Who knows...
