Ever since I've had my SDA, I've wondered how cool it would be if I was able to rotate PIE so that I could use the wide part of the screen to render pages. Looking at squished pages lengthwise looks very uncool. I'd rather have nicely rendered wide pages (with more scrolling required) than squished pages.
Does anyone know if this is possible. In the old days when I played with Opera, I thought it was possible to rotate the screen. But that's a fuzzy memory I can't bet on.

Thanks for the link. I guess I was looking for a way to just rotate the app, and not the whole phone screen.
Does anyone know if this is possible to do with Opera?
What do you mean rotate the app, and not the whole phone screen? Does it makes any difference?
Since WM6 supports screen rotation, we already got it working on Tornado using Vox driver, except for the fact that there is problem with screen rotation and the joystick orientation.

What I mean is that if I exit out of PIE, I want my phone to look "normal" and not in landscape mode. What I want is what Media Player or TCMP does when you do a "full screen." It rotates the display so you're seeing it in widescreen mode, instead of portrait.
I don't think that this is possible to do with opera or ie. The only way to go is to rotate the whole phone screen.

This is what I do, I downloaded AE Button Plus and Tornado Display Manager. I set to Vox DLL using TDM, then using AE Button Plus, I configured to hold right soft key to rotate screen, so after that I just have to hold the right button to rotate the screen, no need to go through TDM, hassle free
Files maywe..?
Karhoe, and all others..
Happy to hear that, you guys could bring this all down to one long keypress, configured via AEBPlus.. I had a look on the posted material here, and it looks pretty confusing. Karhoe, and others, if you couls just post the needed files, with a simple readme, in a single zip file, would be much obliged...
Thanks bud, for all your work..
I have a fuze and don't like the landscape manila (non TP2 version) when you slide the keyboard out. Is there a way to disable it so that manila will stay in potrait even when you slide the keyboard out? Is there a way to make it so that if your in landscape in another program say surfing on opera and close it, it will revert back to potrait of TF3D and if you simply are on your homescreen and slide your keyboard out it will stay potrait? I hate having to close shut my keyboard just to access something on manila and then reopen the keyboard to use my hard keys. I did several google searches and havn't found a solution.
bump, is it even possible?
Kinda lol
You can disable the landscape screen but it will try to put whatever screen is showing into landscape. Needless to say its not pretty.
Hi.
I've been using Topaz Keyboard Controller to rotate my screen 270 degrees of late on double back click. works great in everything (i'm not a fan of accelerometer turning) EXCEPT the home screen (Touch Flo) it turns, but TF3D vanishes and i'm left with a black background, but the taskbar and softkey bar (which i have edited to extend my portrait background) are still visible.
Also, while in landscape mode, should the device go to standby, it's game over (because i'm using HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\BackLight, AutoDeviceLockEnable 0 change to 1) i can't unlock...stuck in standby mode.
so, 2 problems:
1) is the background/wallpaper in landscape mode changeable? does touch flo work in landscape (Rhodium style)?
2) if phone locks in horizontal mode, phone doesn't quite freeze, but is unlockable (black background, no unlock slider)
any1 got any tips to fix either/both of these problems?
thanks
Yeah I also like to know how to change the Landscape background.
Can anyone let me know what is causing this problem on my phone??
I want to run landscape mode but every time I enable Landscape it leave me with screen problem (The photo attach are screen shots for my phone running in land scape mode [right side is the bottom], where the black screen is the home screen, the photo tab and music tab are also mess up.)
I mean my phone runs perfectly fine in portrait mode but once I enable landscape I have problem
I tried enable landscape with bsb tweaks, Touch tools, Gconfig and all 3 program leave me with the same screen problem. (I can enable landscape and turn off rotation but that is just portrait mode again.)
I am using official Traditional Chinese rom:
manila 2.5.1921161930
(I have CHT install)
And I really want to figure out how to run the phone in landscape mode without have to deal with a black screen on home screen. Can anyone help me???
You are using Windows Mobile 6.5. You cannot rotate these features in 6.5 unfortunately.
If you want to change this... grab yourself a new ROM... and flash it.
so i need 6.5X??? That blows.....
Is going to be hard to find a good Rom that support traditional Chinese....
Just got my touch pro 2 and put xdandroid on it (had xdandroid on touch pro so I know how to set everything up). XDAndroid works fine but when you tilt the screen sideways it doesn't go into landscape view unless i slide out the keyboard. This gets annoying especially when I am trying to watch a video.
I tried booting into Windows and the landscape view there doesnt work either. I thought maybe my g-sensor is broken. Went to g-sensor calibration page and it works! So the hardware is fine and the movements are recognized on the calibration page but for some reason doesn't put my phone into landscape view.
I don't think this is an xdandroid problem because I could go into landscape view on my old touch pro.
Sorry for the long post, just providing all the info. I'm stumped...
