the other day i realized thay my treo 750 with the standard windows mobile 6.1 update was auto soft resetting itself!!
i tried to soft reset it by poking the stylus on red button by the miniSD card and nothng happens!!
any help?
solution
i did a hard reset....
i had spb installed and it has a soft reset button...so luckily i could soft reset it using software so i did a hard reset and the problem went away
i could only think it was some kind of software conflict causing my problem
i didnt reinstall all the apps and games i had in before...and so far so good

We got a MDA Compact II for testing at work. Worked fine, but now the device is dead slow and needs ages to start. Soft reset didnt help and the main problem is we cant get the hard reset to work. From the manual it should be the Stand By Button + Reset Button pressed. But only thing that happens is that the screen goes black, nothing else. tried to hold it for longer time but no luck. It wont hard reset. We installed Mcaffee antivirus on it, it said it was the WM5 version but the uninstaller uses unload.exe which is not WM5 conform. Cant it lock the Hard Reset??
Anybody has a clue??

Hard reset on the MDA Compact II / HTC Charmer:
Press and hold both buttons on the left hand side (camera and record).
Use stylus to depress reset button.
Release reset button - keep holding the two side buttons for a count of 4 or 5.
Press the green phone button (Send) to format the phone.

Yep - they give the instructions for hard resetting the old MDA Compact.
I installed wisbar advance on my axim. Now everytime I soft reset, it freezes because wisbar runs out of memory. Then I have to soft reset again and it starts all over again. How can I make it stop coming up without a hard reset? I haven't backed up in months!
Soft reset your device in safe mode and remove wisbar. After one soft reset, immediately again soft reset, it will most probably ask you about safe mode. If you have pocket plus it will definitely ask you about safe mode.
Anyone any ideas?
Cant soft reset anymore - still "feels" the same with the stylus, but it won't reset.
Now either removing battery or holding power button to reset

Please be patient, I am new to this. I recently upgraded Rom from HTC site. Upgrade was successful, but as I began downloading software that I had backed up via SPRITE, the device became unresponsive after a soft reset. Nothing appears on Today screen, and no buttons will work. I have soft reset several times, removed battery, etc. Can't do Hard reset without button function. What to do?

Found the solution for hard resetting when screen/keys are not working. Hold down left and right soft keys while soft resetting...press talk/send. I know most of you probably knew this, but I was in a panic. I hope I haven't broken any rules.
Hi guys, I need help, this morning i woke up and the Touch screen wasn't working, so i tried to hard reset, but the center button don't work (only when i try to hard reset,when i'm in windows it work perfectly),so I try to go in the settings menu and do "Factory Reset" but only when I'm in this menu "enter" and the center button don't work so i can't hard reset...
there is a way to hard reset by pc and active sync????
i think my problem with the touch screen is a soft (virus?) problem, because some time something work..
Did you try to remove the battery for a longer time? Or flash your ROM from SD Card...
