two roms. not for all, though...
i am thinking about new release...unimportant for most.

name it as 4.0.0.0 old rom experiment that driven me for 3 months.. it is old 5.2.1413 ROM, tweaked and modified..
there's no EXTrom, splash, radio parts in 'em. everything you can see on screens is inside ROM(OS file)....
4mb pp both, address $378556 , 4.5 mb may be optimal.
1/5 of soft is installed from cabs while autorun process(freq. updated soft, autorun may be cancelled by softreset after calibration) , most is builtin(in rom).
things to be considered:
- "today time out" should be turned off(it may save battery...) - /menu start/settings/today .
- clock visible everywhere - /menu start/settings/system/clock&alarms tab "more".
- /menu start/programs/xo/install/ contains all cabs used in autorun process, and more cabs(universal useful freeware).
- "fat" rom has pocketage and today agenda plugins - worth to check.

btw, tcpmp, that i used has every useful plugin, that i found(flv, subtitles, wmv, ac3 etc) + preconfig to work ok on wizard.
there is effiicient pdf reader, great ebook reader, many useful programs...
it may take some time to get around.

2. Is this ROM based on Mun_Rus 4.0.0. ? That was (is) the best ROM, if you cleared and completed ( PIE was not working), it will be the best ROM, with a huge memory, what I need because of using IGO.

This rom has caught my eye!...I would very much like to try out this rom.
At the least, I would like to be a beta tester if nothin doesn't want to release it to the masses yet.

i am working on release, clean version will be uploaded very soon(erm..few hours), i decided to add gsgetfile and tgetfile dlls, need to check upxed dlls too.
loaded version needs some localisation registry removal, and few dlls restoration. there is potential problem with WakeUp program - must check this one too.

this is funny part;
if you look on loaded rom screen you may see, that wktask is there too, v 1.0.0.7 - as cab to manual installation - pbar is loaded by startup -it is smallest most stable method i found, but i left wktask as alternative - now by removing pbar's shortcut from /startup all you need to do is to install wktask from cab.
why cab?
answer is simple:
every serious program, that may have near update is left as cab in /menu start/xo/install/ dir. some of them are preinstalled on autorun process.
these are possible to install/uninstall(list may change, though):
,
i.e. batterystatus is good thing to be uninstalled sometimes(i.e. before update), this is method for doing this.
another example: you got newer java? no problem, uninstall old one(cab is still in rom though, just in case), install newer one,
etc etc.
maybe i am strange, but i think it is good idea(i had space, so why not..)...
maby you'll beat it's right's ROM

erm, this is not my intention..
second thing - without anichillus, its right, mr.frazz, double_ofour work(and many more people, in general) these couldn't be done...i drilled what i found.
btw, i loved anichillus xplore - so this one is some kind of oldschool line continuation.

Anybody know how to add the plugin manually after the OS is installed? I can never seem to find a working version (the one that lets you customize it from the Today options). I've tried several different cabs floating around and they are nothing but problems.

That's a negative, Sir. Already have that one and it doesn't show up on the Today screen when it's enabled. The one from the OCTAIVOI ROMs works really well, and it's in color. I think it's listed as HTC Touch UI HOME v1.5 B62 or something like that. But thank you for your help thus far. I'm no n00b but it seems that people used to want to help others more in this forum (like yourself ). However, the trend I'm seeing shows otherwise. Thank you again for your kindness.

I hope that you will include the propper TMO USA settings for conectivity in the US... because the people abroad (Like UK) haven't been able to do it.
Also, In one of Faria's extended Roms there is a file XFARIA SETTINGS. it fixex the battery drain issues. the latest beta battery status (with the clock) also adresses some battery issues as it alows the CPU to have variable speeds. Both of these programs take very little space, but the benefit is that I can have my MDA run for two days of regular use as opposed to about 5 hours.

Just flashed. I did it from bootloader mode, cause 2 times didnt start regulary way.
Free ram: 30.91 MB after first boot. 2nd time was 31.7 MB , after 10 min is now 31.60 MB. pda was in standby mode
Free storage: 39.42 MB
Wifi works, scrolling works,camera also.Boot time is also good = 40 sec.I like new font. Its a little small, bu i like it so.
Good rom.I will update report if necesary.

A 40-sec boot time is a bit long though... mine does in 30.2secs. Will look into it

This is great rom. Fast and stable. Using it now for couple of hours and its workin like it should. Interesting is, that there are no replies about this rom. Nobody else has try it out??

I have not downloaded yet. I read that you changed the system font, how to change it back . I prefer the original font, because all the hungarian characters are included.

Been using this rom for a couple of hours now and it's fantastic. It's fast and stable too, what more could you ask for There was just one small issue that I encountered, the camera button on the right doesn't seem to be working. I'm guessing its something to do with the shortcut. Other than that, no problems whatsoever. Good job Merlin and thanks for this great rom.

Yeah. Shortcut doesnt work for camera. I wrote in my 1st post in this topic about htc camera album, not camera app. Was my mistake. U have submenu Buttons in Settings, where u can change shortcuts and for camera but is there application called Mobile camera.

Just tested your ROM, been using it for 2 days now.
My findings:
- Battery lasts as much as it did on my WM5.
- Screen refreshes faster than WM5 too.
- The funky scrooling + x/ok button can be fixed with the cab I provided for my own rom (you are free to use it).
- Its very clean, but not clean enough for my taste. I've tested most of the rom, and it works as it should, wifi, bluetooth, beam.
- The looks is a misture of Touch (dialpad + comm manager) with the standard look of Windows Mobile...
All in all, a good job on porting it to our devices.

Intro:
This is the third release of SNN. There have been a couple of fixes from the 2.0 version of this ROM. I've tested this ROM for about a week, it's stable for the most part. On a side note, I do not use bluetooth, so I can not say whether or not the bluetooth bugs have been fixed. I am satified with this release and may wait until a new build comes along before releasing another version of this series. I strongly recommend giving this ROM a try if you liked version 2.0 or even if you haven't tried it. Alot of touch applications have found there way onto this ROM. About running "slow".
For those that are having issues with my rom running slow, can you please describe by what you mean by "slow". I know that the inital boot of this rom is slow due to the fact that network wizard tries to configure your network settings and there is a pop up for S2U2. After the initial boot and once your network is configured, the rom shouldn't be running "slow". I've tested this rom for about a week on my device before releasing it and other than the initial boot/setup I haven't had any speed issues or it being "slow". So if you can give me an update on your device or if it is still slow please respond. thanks.

Most cooks, myself included, exclude the cube for the simple fact it takes up to much program memory. We only have so much available with the wizard and try to maximize it's function by leaving it off.

what's "TouchFlo Scrolling without Cube"? what it can be tested/tried on in this rom? or you have to have the cube to see it?

The general speed of the rom after setup is slow. the device hangs alot, launching programs tend to stall same from closing them.
pressing "x" doesnt close apps but just minimizes.
internet explorer stalls when loading pages and becomes un responsive.
These are the problems Ive come across so far but otherwise a lovely lookin rom....

Nice one , i liked it!!! No trouble with BT, Wifi ans beam. More color options too.

have you tried a hard reset after installing the rom? at times there are some trash from the previous rom that we have used that makes our newly installed rom acts strange
after 5 long hoouuurrs of waiting I can finally install the rom... will tell if bleep's experience is the same as mine
hopefully this beats the last version newbie...

This Rom is fantastic except, this is very important to some, In active Sync, there is no option to sync your PC with Bluetooth, only IRDA which does not work. you can send and recieve files via Bluetooth. Just cannot sync with Bluetooth. Why is notepad missing?
also, customer feedback still pops up.

well i'm gonna save you the hastle, i didn't make any adjustments as far as changing .dll's to correct any problems from my previous release. I just cleaned up, more or less, icons and substituted some apps. I don't want you to go through the hastle of reconfiguring your phone for nothing.

I looked around and saw what most people had and added them in. I tried getting as much as and at the same time leave around 140mb free space.

Things you should know about this ROM:
JiveTalk does work with it (if you get an error the first time, just close it and relauch the program)
LiveCast finally works (no more can't find camera hardware error)
Radio 1.58.26.20 works BEST
Radio 1.64.06.04 will NOT work. You wont get any sound\some sound and the camera will NOT work.
Thanks to Sleuth, this is UC capable.
If device does not auto-restart after configurations finish, you have to soft reset using the stylus.
PIE, Messaging, Ok, Windows, End, and Send buttons all light up! No more lack of light problem.
Originally, I had Tomtom7, MSVC, and Resco Keyboard included but were eventually removed for different reasons.
I did NOT include a radio in this ROM since different people have different preferences. If there is enough demand, I will cook the preferred radio in the ROM.
Windows Media Player has been replaced with CorePlayer.
PIE has been replaced with Opera Mobile.
File Explorer has been replaced with Resco File Explorer.
Keyboard rotates within a second on today screen.
ROM is based off HTC v3.03; CE OS 5.2.19188
You MUST have Hardspl in order to use.
Also recommended to use 3.07 HardSPL.

Unfortunately no Smartdialing makes the dialer slower so i'm not upset it's not included.

Flash went ok.
One thing I noticed is that this build which is the (5.2.19188) 3.03 HTC ROM that it has the reset bug. This one does as well.
Using NIKI 1.58.16.27 which is a great radio for me.
Had to re-map the camera button to get it to work the 1st time. Everything else is working good.
icontact is giving me a shortcut error message. Had to remap the soft key as well to icontact
Might want to update the Advanced Configuration Tool to the newest version by Schaps...but that is up to you.
This ROM is very quick and fast. I like it very much. Great job on the 1st ROM. Kudos to you.

AllTheWay have you ripped the radio out of this yet? I noticed this is a higher build than the ones listed in your Radio thread.

Yes, the reset thing is killing me as i still can't find a solution . I had everything mapped orginallay (button 6 was Resco, PIE was opera, camera was camera) but i kept on getting errors in BuildOS. After i put Advanced Config, i realized it was old, but will get it updated asap

So finally i have got round to sorting out my UC issues, so this Rom is UC capable(thanks to Sleuth)i have messed around with some ports to try and speed up the screen rotate, but with no joy so i have gone back to my original base again. But just a quick thanks to mbarvian for his help with that.

flash the emo radio first then try flashing the ROM...i had this problem with mbarvian's solace v2 but flashing the emo radio first should give you a successful flash.

the clock
is there anyway to switch this rom over to the clack closer to the PDS corner Rom. Reason being, I have very bad eyesight and the thin clock arms blend into the background too much for me.

I just installed this rom on my HTC TyTN II and have problem.
1. On screen keyboard is not showing on the first time, but in sms i saw a little arrow, changed to Full QWERTY and now is showing.
2. Slow working hardware keyboard, loosing letters when fast writing,
3. Problem with comm manager and wifi settings. I need to go to start- settings - wifi to set the wifi settings.
4. data connection is attachet to apn but in comm manager i can't disconnect it.
5. background of manilla is nice but... too bright and i can't see many text that appear on screen
6. comm manager will be nice with data push
7. changing to landscape is too slow
8. TCMP player won't run
9. My navigation (Automapa) program won't run
thats my opinion sorry for my english, and this is my first post in here...
i flash my phone several times a day and looking for rom that will be good for me...

had trouble w/ my navigation (oddysey) too. runs in landscape mode.
as for the keyboard, it's easier to use settings to set it into place, or if you hold down where the box normally is, it will end up popping up. nice touch.
any way to be able to access backlight easily? change mine all the time.
also, this rom sucks juice like it's going out of style? any suggestions on that?

I reinstalled my odyssey wrong, forgot I had to manually set it to portrait mode., maybe it was keeping the gps on, which was sucking juice? I dunno, I turned off hspda and 3g to see if it makes a difference.

like the rom but is there any way to play music throught the speaker and shut off the screen like on the old rom after the the lock screen came on the screen shut off but on this rom as long as music is playing screen dose not shut off and if you hit power button it stops media player unless you have in headphones

I guess that list is not updated that often, I'm on the Solace V3 which is great!!! But didn't find it via the wiki (the wiki is much more easier to navigate around than searching in the forumn)
