Hi,
I need some help in changing the device ID of my T-Mobile MDA Vario IV.
It's unlocked and contains the newest HTC Firmware of the TouchPro.
Now my problem:
I installed a try&buy version of a programm a few moths ago when I got the brand new MDA, containing the T-Mobile Firmware.
The programm didn't work but the first time it got started, it connected to the internet and submitted my device ID.
Now, after re-flashing the device, I wanted to try this tool again and now it prints about an already registered device id.
What I'd like to do now, is change the device ID and replace it, so I can retry the installation again.
Do you guys think it's possible to do this ?
And if yes, would you please be so kind to explain it to me
At least I'd like to saysorry about my worse german-school-english, I hope you could find out, what I've been typing about !
Thanks in advance,
yaka

Contact the software vendor with your issue, they should be able to get you up and running.
If by device ID you mean your IMEI#, you can't change it.

Cannot use O2 Connect after upgraded to ROM 1.06, pls help !
Any expert can help me with ? Thanks a lot !
You can still use back O2 Connect. Just need to reinstall few of the O2 crap from your old Extended ROM. Had done that on mine, and now able to connect to O2 plus able to run O2 Plus without problem. Off hand I can't recall the exact .CAB file you need to install back. Just give it a try, install 1those .CAB file one after another and test the connection to O2. I didn't note down the exact step previously, thus can't give you the detail steps as how I manage to get it done on mine. Just damn lazy to do a hard reset and start from scratch again.
Oh, great, I will give it a try. Thanks a lot.
But I would also like to know, did you backup your original rom? If so, can I get a copy from you? I didn't back it up, and I found regret about it. Thanks !
Hello,
I have a similar problem. I think it was because I forgot to patch the operator code. Can anybody tell me the operator code of O2 xdaII mini?
Many thanks in advance!
ok i recently just brought a mda 2, and i want to update it to either WM2003se or to the new WM2005, but i have no idea what to do.
Everytime i try to update it i get a error message saying the country code is incorrect. how i can find my country code and how can i update my OS.
I live in the UK, and the network is unlocked but orignally on T-Mobile.
I hope someone out there can help me with this liitle problem and help me over come, please please.
Thanks
Dal.
Hello, just place the attached file (himaupgradeut_197.exe ) in the same folder as the upgrade rom and execute it.
This one will skip the country check.
Also, if you don't know how to put your device in bootloader mode prior to the upgrade, just copy the attached file named "HimaClearJumpCode.exe" to the same upgrade directory on your PC and it will automatically enter bootloader mode.
Good luck!

i all,
i need to know how old my software is i have:
rom:1.0.7.0
operator:1.6.312.4
radio:4.0.13.17_01.04.00
on a qtek 8300...
is there any newer version? language and t9 in portuguese ?
thanks...
ur software is very old, rom 1.0.70 is old, you should be at least on 2.0.x.0
login to myqtek.com and get the upgrade!
wow...
thanks, i've already try that, but it says my imei in not valid.
my mobile came from dangaard, but i'm from portugal... i send a mail to the place where i bought the phone and they said it was from dangaard!
Dude, that rom is old. Here is a link to download Dangaard/qtek rom version 2.0.9.0 for qtek 8300.
http://rapidshare.com/files/25367924..._Ship.zip.html
many thanks for that.... bu i'm getting file not found on rapidshare...
one more question... will i have portuguese language on menus and on t9?
many thanks
Paulo Fernandes
Sorry, I guess that link expired. I have reposted to rapidshare, and here is the new link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/27726683/TO_DAN_NOR_2090_263111_020900_Ship.zip.html
I don't think that Portugese t9 is available on this rom. But I have attached a cab file (from [[cold]]) that is supposed to install portugese t9.
good luck.
no luck
well it seems that this phone is not from dangaard...
i got the "invalid vendor id" error... what should i do?
application unlock and super CID unlock. search forums for methods, but let me know if you are stuck.
but my phone is not sim lock...and i'm able to install all the apps that i've tryed...i cant't find the cid unlock, could you give me the link...
sorry to be asking all this but i just e wanna be shore that i do things the right way... this phone is 1 week old :|
Well, you're able to install anything you have tried, except the ROM upgrade
SIM unlocked is different than application unlock and CID. Be warned that CID unlock will invalidate your warranty, probably new ROM also will. But the new ROM is worth it, imho. Here is a nice guide describing unlocking/upgrading procedures for 8310, which will also work for 8300:
http://www.modaco.com/Guide-to-Upgrading-Qtek-8310-to-the-Latest-2090-AKU2-ROM-t240179.html
well i haven't think about the warranty... what would be the main benefits of the upgrade?
battery? signal strength ? software?
well, the main advantage that I like is being able to use a2dp (wireless stereo), radio upgrades, but others like push email and other stuff. I guess if you are happy w/ your old ROM there is no sense in changing it.
well my main problem is the battery ... it last 2 days. and wi-fi connection to wpa networks
my battery life is about 4-5 days, and I use wifi quite often on secure and wpa networks without problems.
follow the instructions given here and nothing can go wrong:

Greetings, sharing here my particular problem from top to bottom just to take advice in general.
First of all, I live in Cuba, so my one and only network is Cubacel which runs GSM 900 mhz, so far so good with most phones.
I am between phones so I boorrowed this used J100h from a friend, which received it as a gift and has never been used. I performed a hard reset to wipe password, data, etc. Phone boots ok but no calls with cuban SIM.
The curious thing is that it does recognizes Cubacel network, it evens shows the changes on signal intensity. Bu when I try to manually add it, it finds and displays the network by its name, but reports an error when trying to register.
After 3 days of internet search I´ve narrowed to the following: I suspect the phone was unlocked or flashed previously, there is no network promo when turning on the phone but there is chinese rooting software installed and the cell is, or seems via root checker, rooted. Thought an extra /01 after the IMEI was a sign of corruption until I leraned about IMEI SV. Anyway, following this thought installed busybox and root explorer, checked efs folder, finding subfolders such as imei, factory app, etc, BUT NO .NV file. inside imei folder ther is a imeino1 file with the correct imei, but no .nv file outside. Is this fixable?? GSII repair doesnt work because seems theres is an error with the busy box install, what gives me doubts if the phone is really rooted, and if i need to be online to install busybox properly.
So, If I decide to try and flash stock rom and see if this fixes the problem here is my main doubt, which may seem obvious for some but i simply can figure out. Which stock rom version do I choose? the product code of the cell is ITV, and the bootloader also points to the italian version but the currently installed rom ends in AOG2, seemingly a greek version. I live in Cuba and everywhere I look people say that since the telephone is sim free you can install any rom, but the is no "any" or standard rom either in samsung firware o sammobile. Do I flash the same rom? do I flash the one matching the bootloader? Which stock rom version should I choose?
Very much appreciated if you have gone so far in this reading and have some piece of advice. Also excuse terrible English.
Hi !
I see plenty of firmwares on samsung website so pick one and see how it works , it doesn`t matter the region , you won`t damage anything , maybe the modifications that has been made on the device borked the network , clean stock firmware flash may resurrect it and try the one which matches the bootloader
You may have a look here as well https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-gennxt-prerooted-stock-t3126368
Good luck !
I reently became a happy owner of black XZP and i love it but there is one thing that irritates me, it came with Orange branded software. My question is, can i flash original unbranded software (when flashtool will provide this option) without loosing IMEI,DRM keys, bravia engine and such ? And where can i find this kind of software ?
Also i heard from SONY centre Poland, that even if i do this myself somehow, it will return to the branded software with next software update as the software is tied to phones IMEI...
Would be gratefull for some extended explanation on this. Thanks.
Probably not since it probably locked to the Orange. You will need to get the network unlock code first before flashing a generic firmware.
Well I know that the XZ Premiums in Australia aren't locked, my friend got one from Telstra and then uses an Optus SIM in it.
Flashing generic FW won't cause you to lose DRM keys, etc, since only unlocking the bootloader will cause that stuff to be affected.
Also, even if the phone is network locked, I don't see why generic FW would affect that - That should only impact what carrier SIM you can use on the phone.
I used newflasher to flash customized UK version on my Vodafone branded version a couple of days ago, and received update for customized UK version this morning, updated ok, no probs.

I flashed mine two days ago on Windows 10 v1607.
I used the "old" version linked in the other thread. It is right that virus total show that there is some malware but only 2 of 64 AV product say that, I think that is a false positive.
First download your firmware with XperiFirm, pay attention on device version (single or dual sim)
Download Sony companion app and try to make a software repair (until it ask you to shutdown the phone and connect it with volume down button pressed), it will download and install Sony official flash driver (needed for flash the firmware with newflasher).
After that abort Sony software repair and download newflasher.
Go to the firmware folder extract partition.zip (this will allow new flasher to flash partition layout)
Also move away from the folder sim-lock.ta for security purpose (new flasher should have a check but bug can exist)
Copy newflasher.exe to the firmware folder
Shutdown the phone, press volume down button and plug-in the usb cable (Same instruction of Sony companion app), you should see windows driver configuration.
Wait driver configuration to finish and then run newflasher.exe as administrator
Wait until it finish (some system files flash can take minutes to flash don't worry) and check if there are errors in log.
Had problems with yellow triangle in driver but after using companion software per your instruction drivers got installed and everything went ok, flashed central eu version 1 and I'm happy now Many thanks!
