Help! - General Questions and Answers

I am using IMAP on my windows mobile outlook email to access email, but the folders for trash and sent are defined as deleted items and sent items, any ideas how I can remedy this, so they are set as trash and sent rather than anything else, so they sync properly?
Thanks

Outlook sent items

We use the app to connect to the office Exchange server. Sent items from my PC are correctly kept in SENT items on both PC and XDA. Items sent from the XDA do not sync back to the server so they can be viewed on the PC. I have the sent items folder checked in options. Any ideas please?

Hotmail (Windows Live Mail) Sync question!

Further to my last thread (this is a separate issue so i thought i'd make a separate thread)....
How does Hotmail syncing work on Windows Mobile? i'm mostly asking about the sent items.
When i send an e-mail from my phone, it's saved into my sent items folder, which is then synced with the Hotmail 'server' so i can view that sent item regardless of where i log on....
But when i delete my sent items from Hotmail (via my PC etc) the sent items don't sync, and i'm left with loads of sent items on my phone (if i forget to delete them regularly).
Initially i thought it was because syncing wasn't enabled... but it must be if they're appearing on the hotmail server.... !?
if anyone can shed some light (maybe i'm just being dumb!) i'd appreciate it!
Thanks!
(I've just got a Kaiser, running WM6 and i notice that i've had to manually go into 'folder management' to enable syncing for sent items... so i'm wondering if it works differently on WM6!?)

Synchronize Sent Items in Pocket Outlook w/Desktop

If I send an email from pocket outlook it is never synchronized to the sent folder in the desktop version of outlook. Anyone have any suggestions? What a bad design! If I ever have to do a soft reset or phone upgrade (= YES at some point) then all those sent emails are lost?
Partial Solution - Sent Mail FolderSynchronization
I do not want my emails left on a server, so I use POP3. "Profimail", a third party PPC prorgram - is the one I use. It is the only one I can find which allows automated BCC copies to be sent that are not listed on each email - and copies are automatically sent to a different email account I use for this purpose. I also have profimail set up to hide emails sent to that addres in it's sent folder that have been sent to that BCC addres..I have outlok set to receive emails from that BCC address as we'll, but with a rule to automaticaly move any emails sent to that addresss automatically moved to the sent folder in outlook. This works perfectly except for one gap left... showing all the emails sent from the desktop only - on the pocket PC. Any ideas?

Microsoft outlook exchange sync

Is there any way to support active sync on the infuse 4g
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
What exactly are you trying to achieve?
Trying to make the contacts and calendar and notes sync to the infuse without hook up to a cpu
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
I see. I'd think the built in mail app would allow you to do that but I use TouchDown so.... sorry I can't be more help
That is correct; the native email app does support Exchange ActiveSync. I use a modified version of it though called Enhanced Email. It has a few touches that are very useful, such as push capabilities for any folder, not just the inbox.
Is that just a app from market?? Found this thing called companiagn link. And samsung said the infuse doesnt support active sync that would just be retarded though

ActiveSync is built in to infuse
I have set up my Infuse to ActiveSync my account on Office365. It will sync the primary contact, inbox, and calendar. If you have other folders in addition to Inbox, you will have to click on each folder to bring in the new items. No additional software is needed.
Yes, MS Active Sync does work
see this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=813920
go to post #16, i give exact instructions on how to set it up. If gives you complete exchange like control over your msn/hotmil/live email accounts, including calendar and contact syncing and full access to all your email folders, and best of all, email can be viewed as html.

[Q] Gmail Drafts Not Syncing

I have drafts sitting in Gmail that do not sync to the drafts folder on my HTC Trophy. Is this a limitation with Mango? Is there any way to find these drafts or is this not available yet? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Open up your Gmail inbox and in settings somewhere on phone you can tell it the folders to sync
Sent from my T7575 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Sorry drafts look like they don't have that option

Even when I sync the Drafts folder it says "No messages". Seems there is a fault on Gmail's side where they don't allow it for some reason.
