Using Topaz as a Bluetooth GPS Unit - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

Is it possible to use the integrated GPS in the Topaz as an external bluetooth GPS device for a laptop or an iPod Touch 2G?
Thanks in advance!

GPS2Blue
Yeah and it works great. Just install this

Thanks for that.
Unfortunately the iPod Touch cannot utilise a BT GPS unit! Hopefully some kind developer over that way will put something together

Bluetooth Tools JAM compatibility?

I just got my JAM and the MS Stack doesn't work with my Audi MMI System BT. The PDA2K Widcomm stack 1.1 did, but not the JAM. I can partner but no functionality.
Has anyone tried using the MDA II/XDA II BT Tools that helped that devices MS BT Stack with the JAM?
I love the JAM, but the MS Stack has so little menu functions.
yes it works perfect for me ... the same functions in xda2
Having quite same problems with Nokia carkit, after pairing connection dies quickly and doesn't work. Under BT devices menu "set as hands-free" is grayed out and also using bluetooth tools doesn't make difference, the connection screen just disappears quickly when pairing so can't change profile, maybe it's due incompability...
Don't know if it's possible to change BT stack but at the moment this thing sucks...
GPS Navman 4410 on Qtek S100
Sounds like the same problem I have with my GPS-connection (Subject GPS)
Could someone post the Bluetooth Tools file? I can't find it anywhere on my system or on the web.
thanks

Tools doesn't work well on my JAM!
Hi!
I´ve tested the Pocket Bluetooth Tools as well, but it doesn´t worked on my MDA compact (German ROM). When the software was installed, the BT doesnt work anymore.
My special problem is with the Royaltek RBT 3000 and the download of the tracks to the pda. Each time i try this, the connection breaks after 200 waypoints approx. The normal use with the navigation software like TomTom works well.
Looking for a solution.

GPS on HTC Touch?

Hi,
I guess it´s a silly question but i am new with pda's:
Does the HTC Touch works with a gps external receiver?
Thanks.
HTC Touch has Bluetooth, therefore an external bluetooth GPS should work fine.

iGuidance 4 Problem on HTC Touch Cruise/Polaris

I had been using iGuidance4 on my old Samsung i730 off a 4GB SD Card. It worked very well . I used it syncing with a BT iTrekM5+ BT GPS Receiver (MTK Chipset) in my wife's car and with a Parrot 3400 LS-GPS (it is an intergrated Hands free BT and GPS receiver).
I have recently upgraded my phone to a HTC Touch Cruise and am using iGuidance4 now on a 6GB MicroSDHC card. It works flawlessly with my Parrot and iTrek Receivers.
The problem that I am having is that iGuidance4 is barely working with the Touch Cruise inbuilt GPS. The phone runs on a Qualcomm MSM7200 (Chipset) @ 400MHz,and has bulit in GPS. The iGuidance program works in fits and starts with a very, very long lag time while running, so as to render the program unusable.
I thought that there may be a problem with the intergrated GPS on the phone, but I don't think that this is the case, because the inbuilt intergrated GPS of the Touch Cruise works perfectly with both Google Maps and Microsoft Live Search.
I wonder if anyone might have any thoughts
or suggestions on this problem.
I have also posted this on the PDAPhoneHome website (http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/pdaphone-discussion/100265-iguidance-4-htc-touch-cruise-polaris.html)
Thanks
Turnip
I would like to hear any updates on your problem as I intended to use iGuidance as well, mainly for its Text-To-Speech and Navteq maps.
Does anyone else have any other experience of getting iGuidance 4 to work with Touch Cruise? There seems to be a workaround using GPSGate described in pdaphonehome, but is this the only way to get it working?

On the TC, open iGuidance, go to Tool, then GPS Options, then COM Port, and select Com4
Then, go to the same area and set the Baud Rate to 9600.
If for some reason you've changed your settings, on your TC go to the Start Menu, Settings, System, and then click on External GPS to find out what your settings are.

A2dp motorola S9+windows xp

first off, major props to the xda community, you guys are the best!
now for an interesting problem/project:
It's been a month since I've purchased my Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/product/details.jsp?globalObjectId=177 and have been amazed by what I can do when combine the S9 with my HTC touch and cyberon's voice dialer which is a voice activation program
I use it to:
listen to stereo music
launch programs
stereo music remote control
speed dial
raise and lower volume
teach iphone users the meaning of envy
just being able to do that with with the a2dp remote and microphone of the s9 makes it feel like it's 2030 where people are wired to computers and technology is transparent and everywhere. The s9 feels like sci fi technology... almost. the s9+htc touch is a great no hassle way of getting the information you want pumped into your ears
so as a tech enthusiast I've asked myself,
why the hell can't my computer do this?? i mean, it's 2008 and I'm still using a keyboard and mouse for everything?
I'm trying to make the S9's work on my mac book pro running windows xp+bootcamp drivers but windows doesn't even support a2dp much less handsfree wireless mic profile
i've an online tutorial by katy hxxp: www.djkaty.com/drupal/vista/bluetootha2dp but installing broadcomm's bluetooth stack gives me an error telling me that there is no bluetooth radio device detected which is total bull as i've been able to send files to my HTC touch via bluetooth. I've also tried installing another bluetooth replacement stack called bluesoleil; with no luck
I've also am about to start trying adding widcomm using this guide (http://www.dev-toast.com/2007/01/05/uncrippling-bluetooth-in-vista-rtm)
but in the guide said a2dp doesn't work with widcomm
anyways how do i make bluetooth a2dp work and my s9's mic to work via bluetooth on pc? is my ultimate question
also, if you could recomend a voice activation program that works as well as cyberon's voice dialer I'm looking for the type of functionality where I can press the voice button issue a command and then good stuff happens I bet lots of other people thought of doing the same thing like this
could you please help?
A step by step guide would be aprechiated
update: I've been able to install widcomm drivers version 5.1 and everything works... except the a2dp UGH!

BlueSoleil, with some external BT dongles, does support A2DP. It's just that the BT dongle itself must support it in hardware.
That is, shop for an external BT dongle if you do need A2DP.

thanx but i'm trying to get my internal laptop's bluetooth to use it I've heard good reports that i'm just using the wrong version of widcomm drivers.... time to reinstall everything...again
besides who wants to carry around a laptop with a dongle flopping around? i'll try to avoid the dongle solution if i can
A2DP and bluetooth stack
Having same issues here. My goal is using BOTH A2dp and Blackberry wireless sync via bluetooth (just a serial port).
I find it impossible as Blackberry will only work with native xp drivers and A2DP is not supported in xp.
Currently i gave up wireless sync and am using A2DP with Bluesoleil, which works fine for me.
Anyone ever tried using A2DP WITHOUT switching to a different bluetooth stack?

I used to have a HTC Wizard and used it with Bluetooth Carkit and GPS Mouse at the same time. It was also running WM5.0, so your Universal should be able to do it also!
