Hi, if there was someone who could help me.
My problem is as follow:
My battery isn't charging at all neither through main charger or activsync.
I have been able to sync the phone via cable but not charging. My phone is on at this moment throught activsync
The battery is not recognized by the phone as it shows me under:
Settings
Power
Main battery unknown.
When i try to charge the phone with the supplied charger there is no orange led showing me that it is charging when phone on or switched off.
I was thinking that it could be that it was because my battery was dead but would the indicator says unkown main battery. Thanks in advance

Whenever i try to charge it with the charger, it will show the amber light indicating its charging from some time and after that it will just shutoff itself and start to blink in red light.
i tried to charge the qtek battery with my other smartphone (SPV C500) its charging properly. I tried to charging it with other charger also, unfortunately no luck.
i started encountering this problem only yesterday onwards.
nowadays, i am charging it through my computer USB and it charges without any problem. Anybody had this problem or heard of a problem like this. Any help is greatly appreciated.

hi, I have the same problem with my 8310 (1 month old)
the AC adapter doesnt work correctly with the phone
I thought of using another adapter, but I see that you already tried this
the only solution that my retailer gave me, is to make it exchange..
I have the same problem, but if I connect the wifi when I charge it, it works fine....
Really weird problems... Do these happen even when you use the original chargers? Maybe should go back to the store...
I have the same, but i upgrade to Imate ROM 2.5. It fix problem. Now charging well.
I have received a 8310 with the USB-miniUSB cable. I am trying to use it for the first time. When I first started it, it powered on, showed windows mobile, and afte that the battery died, so I cannot power it on. I am trying to charge it with this USB cable. Is it possible when the phone is off?
Should it start charging it when I plug it in in the PC USB port?
And how much time does it need to be fully charged when charging from PC over USB cable?
Dear All,
I recently purchased Samsung i780 India version. The ROM version is i780DDHE1.
I am facing issues while charging the phone over USB. Though the phone shows charging symbol when the usb cable is connected to laptop but even after hours of keeping phone connected to PC there is not battery charging that is happening.
Has anyone faced the same issue or it is something to do while my particular phone piece?
PS: I am able to charge my other phone HTC Gene using the same laptop via USB.
Thanks in advance
It is not an issue, simply i780 can t be charged by usb.Usb connection only keeps your battery status without charging.

Is this openly mentioned/admitted by Samsung anywhere??
also if I use the battery holder & connect it to laptop via usb cable then the battery is charged..how can that happen?
thnx for replying ilMessia
@Mods...
pls move to right section. Sorry for posting in wrong area.
I don t know if samsung say it somewhere. If you connect the battery holder to pc via usb, the battery inside charges because the "usb power" is all directed to the battery.Connecting the i780, the phone needs power to work and there is no power enough for the battery. It means that when the phone is connected it doesn t use the battery power but it only use "usb power".Srry for my english...
My X10 battery was totally D-E-A-D .. with the battery inserted and attemptation to turn on the phone. 3 fast red led lights would blink.. to indicate the battery is too low to power up the phone.. Correct??
With the battery in and USB data cable connected to my X10 phone.. I would get a slow blinking Red Led which ive never seen before.. "must indicate faulty battery and not charging" .. anyway my phone would not turn on with the battery in what so ever. ! even tried to charge the battery using the main plug --> USB --> Phone.. and still just a slow blinking red light.
After reading up from google my friend.. I forced a USB "5v" connection into the battery from my laptop.. using a stripped down USB cable i didnt need the "red + Positive " and "black - Negative " leads.. The battery got warm i disconnected the lead. Turned on my phone and it worked with 9% battery life.. I plugged in my Cable and now its charging .. just as normal... so now i will fully charge my battery and see how it goes
Now my question is.. Would this method also work for lets say.. :/ a laptop battery that might be faulty? but obv course if i was to try i would match the volts as am pretty sure the voltage of a laptop battery and Phone battery are different..
Yes and no, laptop batteries are much more complicated in nature than a cell phone battery. The electronics in a laptop battery are what makes them almost impossible to revive.
Sorry, from the sounds of it you're saying you cut up a USB lead and just held some of the wires against the contacts on the battery?
Hello, I got a samsung galaxy R i903 phone.
i use both the socket charger or the usb cable to charge my phone. but today, when i tried to plug my phone using the usb cable, it is not showing as the phone is charging. what is more strange, the battery indicator is showing as charging when it is plugged in. i tried to reboot my phone and take the battery out, in both cases the battery indicator is not showing correctly. i borrowed somebody else cable and tried, the battery indicator would show as not charging when it is plugged in. I then tried with the socket charger, the same also happens.
does anyone have this issue or know how to resolve?
thanks!!!!
Attempt to change your battery, if you can put a battery from someone who has s2 or r and see what will happen. What happens when your phone is switched off when you try to charging?
I hope this is the right forum for the topic.
First I want to describe my situation:
I want to use an older phone as a webcam. The webcam is outdoor and there was no power source available.
So I bought a solarpanel which has an inbuilt USB charger for phones. The solar panel works great and it doesn't take long until the battery is full.
The problem is that the sun is not allways there when you need it I needed a battery with higher capacity that the phone (webcam) can be used longer without the need to get charged. So I bought two 5000mAh batteries from Amazon, connected them in parallel and changed them with the orignal battery from the phone. (btw. the phone is a Huawei Ascend Y201 Pro)
The problem is that the phone won't charge the battery. I found out that the third pin in the phone is to monitor the battery. If that pin is not connected the battery won't be charged.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?
First I thought about buying one of these external battery packs. But all that I found have a button that has to be pressed in order to charge the battery. But that is not possible because the phone (webcam) should work autarkical.
Some have an autostart function but after the battery is full it is required to replug the phone in order to get the battery charged again. Is there an app maybe that can disconnect and reconnect the USB connection without unplugging the cable?
