Attached is a set of buttons that I am hoping a great artist can convert into a great looking set of IR Beam buttons. I'm like a 1st grader when it comes to free-hand artistical stuff - gimme some crayons!
I'm hoping that they'll follow the same theme as the others
Maybe we'll add a poll for the best set once we get a few entries?
Note that these are copies of the flight mode, but have the proper naming for the IR function.

Just follow the image format as they are now - I'm not exactly sure of the details. Paint edits them just fine, but I'm sure any mainstream graphics app can handle them.
I'd suggest following the same image format as the rest of the buttons, and if you really wanted to get crazy, redo the entire dialpad!

I think the shades of gray is different for all buttons. the flight mode gray is different than the beam gray. I suggest attaching the ringer button to use that as a background since the bottom two button gray should be a lot more similar than the flight mode gray.

I did replace the pics and it showed s blank fr some reason.... so that is why I asked, beside I named it same as activesync pics overwriting them. is that what you meant to overwrite the activesync pics...
pics have to named properly and what I did was cook my own rom after. It has to be labeled as below.

I currently have a HDWallpaper on my HTC; is it possible to use the same HDWallpaper as my lock screen image? I would also like the HDwallpaper to be set in the background when view the phone files (when clicking on the windows or 'Start button)
Can anyone advise?

Save the image you used for your HDWall on your phone (just the image not as a .cab) then under personalize in settings set that image as lockscreen wallpaper.

Is it just a case of renaming the file to a .jpg when I download it onto the HTC Sniper? within the .cab file itself I cannot see an actual image file.

I'm guessing it's an HD-Wall you got off here rather than one you made yourself then?
In that case you'll need to use something like m9editor to convert it back from the qtc file in the cab file.
If you want to post the cab on here I should be able to do it for you if you want? Bit new to all this myself.

Here you go mate, there were actually 3 images in your .cab, think maybe it had landscape options too? I've converted the 3 to .png's just as they came and also cropped and converted to .jpeg's. I think the one I've named "1" is what you want, but put them all in just in case, like I say, I'm a bit new to all this.
Put them all in a zip file as I think you lose some image quality if you post them as attachments. Let me know if it works?

Do you have a guide on how you did that?
Following will become a large collection of transparent backgrounds and today screens/themes for your high resolution device to enjoy. The preview images link directly to each respective download. They start on post 2.
I didn't make any of these images. I found them and used HD Wall to make them transparent themes. The screenshots in this post are of much lesser quality than the actual downloads themselves. They all look much better installed on your device.
Installation
Each download is a .rar file which must be decompressed. Once extracted it will provide you with a .cab file that upon installation will change your HTC Sense background theme to look like what you downloaded. After you install the .cab file you need to reboot your device. Also included is the original image in .png format at 480x800 pixels so you can set it as your start menu/lock screen if you so desire.
If you decide to switch between themes of mine I suggest you uninstall the existing one before changing to the next one. You don't need to reboot your device until after you install the new one.
Requests
I am taking requests as well because I want this to grow so that we can all have some fresh eye candy. If you have an image you want to post to the thread I will format and create it into a transparent background .cab for you. It must be at least 480x800 in size. Any image format is ok.
Troubleshooting
If you install one of these and find that your background doesn't change then you probably need the high quality background fix from CookieMonster installed beforehand. It is attached to this post for Sense version 2.5.2012. Just uninstall my theme if you already installed it, then install the fix, and finally reinstall my theme.
If for some reason you cannot get it to work simply post to this thread with your Windows / Manila version. These can be completely uninstalled as well so there is no harm done to your device.

Edit: I just noticed you said Windows Mobile 6.5.5... that is where the start menu is on the bottom correct? I don't use that branch of Windows Mobile so I can't tell you whether or not it will work... feel free to try if you want as it's uninstallable.

I'm just using the default lockscreen with NRG roms... along with my own background for it. Or are you referring to the glossy icons?

Honestly, I'm not sure if they will work with MaxManila or not. I imagine they should since it only replaces one Manila background file. And, if it doesn't, you can just uninstall it!
Oh and yes, I did water Al's plants LOL.

Done guys. They are attached. Sorry for the delay... was out of town.
i made a boot animation to match the liberty rom. it is the raising of the flag on mnt serabachi on iwo jima. i made the folder structure and the appropriate desc.txt but it wont play on my dx. Can anyone help me get this to work?
sound DO NOT WORK on liberty Rom (dont ask me why cuz i really dont know), i was checking you animation and i recommend to use at least minimum 480x320 image size and max 480x854 , as you may know you can set the animation size on the desc.txt so no need to go high and then going down on the desc.txt , that way you'll have a not heavy and lighter zip file at the end cuz 29MB for a bootanimation is kinda big using only 220 frames.....
P.S. that's one of the reason i use .jpg format instead of .png
thank you for the reply. is there any way to batch resize the pictures? i really dont want to do 220 pics individually. I CAN however, batch rename the pictures to the .jpg extension. I will do that and research how to batch resize.

mmm not really the programs i use just do batch rename and format change but not resize :-( ...... i have never have the need on doing it cuz use a program to create my clips and safe those clips with the right size and then create the jpg's out of it
well i found that both gimp and photoshop can batch resize easily so i am going to try that

well you need a plugin, but its free and so far working great! not only is it resizing all my images, but it is also changing em to .jpg at the same time.
i just finished resizing, im going to try it now.
ok i tested the boot animation again with the resized pictures in a jpg format. the size is now 480x360 because i kept the original ratio, and i made the desc.txt 480x360 at 15fps. i converted everything to .jpg and i removed the audio. i used the liberty toolbox to flash it then i confirmed it was in the right spot using root explorer. i rebooted and all that appeared was a blank screen... any suggestions?

Make sure when putting all the files/images/desc file into the zip you set the compression method to STORE and not NORMAL. When my bootanims were just a black screen this is what fixed it.

if you are using WINRAR do the follow :
1- select the folders and file to compress
2- right click on you mouse/touch pad (in case you are using a laptop like me LoL)
3- select " add to archive"
4- there you can change you compression method from normal to store
5- add a name to the file and select ZIP
6- click OK
7- you're done.
if you are using 7zip is pretty much the same steps from winrar...

1. what is a good gif creator? i have tried at least 10 websites and at least 6 programs and none do what i want efficiently. i want to open all 220 frames at once and make an animation rather than opening each individually like i had to.
2. what is a good video to jpg creator? i had to go frame by frame and take snapshots for my entire animation last time and i took like 2 hours:/

1 - Animated GIF Producer and Ulead GIF Animator so far are the best out there
2 - Video to JPG converter is my favorite and the best for bootanimations.

Since I found the HTC Leo's Sense quite difficult to edit the bloody Manila files (in OMNIA was... totally simple project), I'm willing to give (via PayPal donate) some cash, to someone who can create what I need...
He (they") will give me the exact dimensions of the files and I PERSONALLY will create my own graphics and I'll give him (them?) the files and he (they?) will create me what I want...
I want:
1. Co0kie (my personal) clocks (flip/analog)...
2. Slider (my personal) icons...
...and a couple things more; I'll have to check.

Try CHTtweaks. You can change many of the items of co0kie home tab including flip & analog clock, softbar, lockscreen & SMS & email widget using simple png files; also you can get lot of transparency and easily chage text fonts. All with a simple file explorer, forget about manila files.
Regarding the slidertab is a bit more complicated, but if you upload here your png files for sure some other user will kindly help you. To start with you should install in your PC m9editor and / or CFC_GUI; also Resco Explorer or Total Commander in your device; then do a search in your device's windows folder for *_manila; then copy all the founded files to your SD and from there to your PC.
In post #8 of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696214 I did update a zip with all the files included in the slider-tab. Unzip in a separate folder in your PC. The files have the manila names, but png format. You can edit each one with PS, just keep the names and the sizes. It will be easy to convert them back to manila format before put them in your device.
Do it slowly, and ask here what you need. And do not forget to enjoy!
poy any reason why you would copy manila files to sd card first then pc?
i would just open windows folder on pc then copy straight to the pc.
You are right, probably my PC is very slow so i transfer the files using the card reader and i also like to have a backup copy of manila in SD. Of course is not essential .... the most important is to put all manila files in PC -no matter how- and do the edition there.

I may have you beat. it takes my pc about an hour and a half to copy all manila files.
frustrating but still hella fun though.

But... I don't know the BLOODY DIMENSIONS of these graph files!
I'm pro designer and if you may check bellow the link, I made a "total-theme" for OMNIA - took some serious time, but was easy, after all.
In OMNIA's "Manila", the project was so "crystal"; just copied EVERY graph file from Windows folder (mobile) in my PC, edited them, re-copied back to mobile... Or even better (with M2DC), I was extracting the ENTIRE theme somewhere in my mobile, copied the theme in the PC, opened via WinRar, editing the files, re-placing back in the "rar" theme file... and back to mobile!

hey there bud, hows it going?. thats exactly what im going to do now, i wasnt on the pc earlier so here goes.......
op, heres the files you need for the slider. i've sent you my own but the originals are the exact same size and i have these at hand. theres the large ones in the middle of the screen, the ones for the actual slider bar and the ones for when you slide your finger across the bar, you'll sus it out im sure.
just make a note of the actual image size and position within the canvas size, cut it and add your own images. when your done let me know an i'll convert them to manila for you. ask away if you need help......
