First of all it has to be ported to QVGA. Utopykzebulon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=489749) has started the work, but then he suddenly stopped it and doesn't wanna publish his work. It is a big problem, because the newer tf3d has some very cool features, and also lower memory consumption so it would be perfect on the Kaiser.
I also want to see it on our phone.

There actually isn't a new release. There is an unofficial leaked beta that some are trying to cook into Blackstone roms. Since TF3D has never really been buglessly ported to kaiser or qvga phones, I doubt this version will be any easier to port.
Aside from yhe fact that the Kaiser is getting kind of long in the tooth and I think that the chefs would rather focus their time and efforts to moving up to new phones that will support this release ( when it is released ) rather than work on porting it to an older phone.
Kaiser hardware does not support 3D rendering as much as the newer devices do. So this is out of question.
well, i downloaded that TF3D rom and i must say that it doesnt work smooth at all:/ the 3d animation works great, but running something or writing an SMS is nearly impossible, and i think our chefs can make it run smoother

there's only so much a 400 mhz processor can do
that's about as good as it can get. besides, most of the chefs are moving on to newer devices

This whole idea has been gone over a thousand and one times, and some very talented chefs already took TF3D as far as it could go on our devices. And keep in mind, even HTC themselves couldn't give us TF3D for the 400mhz ARM processor chip sets. They gave us M2D instead, something actually made and meant for our hardware.
Please take UI discussion to one of the other Kaiser Forums, since it is only a small part of what is ROM development. That is, unless you release a ported TF3D build that works like butter on the Kaiser, then you can post it anywhere on this site you want, and we would all love it!

OP: That is nowhere near a tiny request. Chef's already spend a lot of time and effort and work just cooking a ROM, let alone doing something HTC couldn't even do. This forum is for development, not for asking someone else to fulfill your every whim.

What is it about Dutty's ROMs that make people go CrAzY over them?
I'm looking for specifics. Why do people love Dutty's ROMs sooooo much? What makes them so much better than say Q-mobile or Alex's ROMs?
I just get the feeling that I am missing something that everyone else knows about why Dutty's stuff is so popular compared to the other ROMs.
There has to be a good reason... anyone care to clue me in?

Dive on in and find out for yourself. Some people don't like his ROM's others do as you can see. There are some really great Chefs out there and they all make really good ROM's. You should flash to see which ROM you prefer more. As some ROM's have specific drivers that only work with radio 1.27.14.09.
whats great about any cooked rom is tha the cook who created it shares it with us!!!!!
Theres nothing about, every cook on here is great. Every cook has their own style, the tweaks, the softwares...
But Dutty's is very popular, because we have alot of new members, they just learned how to flash, and now they need roms. Dutty's rom, has the the biggest threads, everyone makes it exciting, and the new members join his thread.
But I use Dutty's and Schaps, both great roms.
Hey sorry to drive this thread into hell, but does it take super C++ skills to do this or is it just "simply" putting things together then compiling it?
I didn't like Duttys roms BTW, I love what he is doing and I like he has provided us with some OEM CABS, but his rom isn't for me I liked Shaps because it came with a bunch of stuff to customize it to the limits.

Theres a rom tool now Makes cooking alot easier. To me its about making everything flow together, make sure one software doesn't mess the other up, and getting the right tweaks.
I've tried a few roms and I always go back to dutty roms he always includes applications I use and his tweaking has been really to my liking compared to others
dutty's roms are cool, but i perfer a lite rom and to put my own apps on it . i think most people like dutty's rom because they use the same apps that dutty builds in, + the speed! But, i perfer the highest benchmark results! thats what makes me choose the rom.
Dutty's rom may not be the best rom for you. But he is the most hardworking rom maker here and always comes up w/ latest software. In addition, he is very responsive to questions too.

schaps is also a scary cook just takes for ever to fix the bugs!
dont ask whats so great about the rom. ask whats so great about the cook. dude sticks around for his users. if something isn't right he tries his best to make sure it gets fixed. priceless!!!

I agree with raz and I also encourage testing other ROM's as well to find out whats best for you, and our attitude should be: show appreciation (donations or a thank you, people should know that making a ROM takes a lot of effort) and making positive criticisms of flaws; not to personalities ; that benefits the whole Kaiser community.

hey i'm new to ppc and pda's. i got a toch diamond and using dutty rom v4. its fast and i like it. also just want to say thanks to xda. you guys run a very good site. oh one other thing i noticed is that my diamond used to have only 85mb storage space but after the rom update i got 115mb
Also fans of Dutty's ROM (Dutty's WM6.1 WWE), for me, just 2 words "fast and stable", like raz said, Dutty's cooked all his ROM well.
I wish he come and upgrading his ROM

First of all, please do not go digging on the grave yard, it disturbs the other corpses.
Secondly, since dutty has released a Kaiser rom in well over a year, isn't it time we close this thread. The Kaiser rom forum is cluttered enough without having to read new posts about how people with Diamonds and HD's love duttys roms

Sorry for last period, I was very busy for my graduation and after graduation I got some free time to give you something new.
Many of users sent me PMs and asked me about new release (thanks for them)... so I started porting SYS and XIP from latest official release from Diamond which is 5.2.20273. I finished every thing, but need some time to do last touches and checks before releasing.
I just want to tell you that, there is new edition which is HTC Home free just for those users feel good with SPB Shell (I'm one of them).
So, keep in touch to download the latest TNT build.

KkK..i know that is not fair start to complain, but WHYY HTC HOME FREE =~~
it's one of best htc apps, and don't ask me why, but if you install it after flash a rom don't have the same "benchmark" as a build one.
but ok, we can live with only one tnt slim version ;P
ah, btw don't forget to check the internet sharing problem.
i think it's it...cannot wait for the next release!!

Its is a choice, while Profesional version like before with HTC Home.
About Internet sharing, I can't test but it should be fixed in case of base rom caused that (we will see).

I will do it if I can, but really you have to test SPB Shell 2.1.1 (latest) and apply Diamond themes .

TNT design with just the today skin from Diamond (I don't prefer Diamond skins unless the device with VGA screen )
HTC Home will be available in prof version.

It is the original camera 3.3 exe with modified graphics.
as I saw in your 209 kitchen you realized that the graphic files in the package are useless. they are imbeded into the exe itself. I just changed them. The version I posted is not compressed, while the version Molski posted I havent tested yet (it is already cooked into my rom, why add more kb.?)
I know that the one I posted works.
also, while taking appart the reasourses, I noticed that the rgu's we have inhibit camera's functions. there are graphics in there that we never see. most likely, because HTC did not think we needed them in this device.
You can use reasource hacker to view the file, but you have to unsign it in order to edit it. otherwize it will not work upon saving.

i'm posting this thread 2 c whose with me in the idea of building the real ultimate rom for our UNIs
i mean WM6.1 with VT, speed, stability, A2DP, new BT stack ... everything
we have some great minds here guys. Tomal, Luca, VNint and Cotulla
if u guys just contact and think together, I'm sure u'll do it
So, i'm thinking of making a new thread where u guys participate ... like (think out loud) in this thread, and not just the four of u, i mean anyone can add his idea.
U can add registry keys where there's a problem to think about, add cabs .... anything
then finally the rom we're all waiting for is cooked
I want to see some response here guys .. and i want to know what our developers think too

well... every develper or cooker has his own visions how a rom have to look like... it's not only bout the design... it's also settings and possibilities.
so i don't think it'll happen and i even don't think it shall happen. cuz when i don't like one rom i take another one and give it a try
just my 2 cents...
It may be worth doing as they have on the Athena site, and start with a clean stable base rom witha large flashdisk so people can add there own cab's and software so others can try it

and not only does everyone bring their own flavor to it, like i use my uni like a laptop so i hate things like flash disks and want not, and although im in the US and cannot utilize VT i also know that it wasnt working seince 5.0 had a betaish go in 6.0 and something i saw in efn's 6.1 but i know that it will never really be a reality in 6.1
because every cook makes their own thing, my two best working roms was efn's 2.20 and cotulla's 20757
I think the ultimate ROM has already created by Tomal v8.5!!
Time ago this subject was proposed but I think it´s dificult to get all masters together because their times and ocupations.

Less than 1% of the peoples in the community has interest for VT so it will NEVER be a reality for Uni.
But may be you can bring some brilliant idea in other areas, where most people has interest of it. For instance, "big storage" idea brought by Cotulla.
This is really amazing idea. Somehow he has managed to resize/reformat the DOC (M-Systems chip) area.
I've couple of PM's to consider it. But I'll not work on this unless Cotulla allows others to work on. But here is the principle:
The NK.EXE (of Cotulla's rom) is responsible for resizing the DOC. You can use any ROM once the resizing is done and the storage area will be same (extended) for every rom. But you need to make sure that the rom image you're using is fitting into the allocated area or it will be resulting an unsuccessful (rom) update.
Furthermore, someone can build a tool to do the DOC resizing/repartitioning as Mamaich has build one for BA couple of years back.

like what Tomal said about the storage idea of cotulla. I think we all like it and want it in every rom
they may solve other robelms too, like the speed issues. I really don't like it when my friend's Magician is faster than mine (believe me thats true) in applications an games
and hopefully they will also get the VT working cause its just not fair that we have it and can't use it even if alot of us are not interested
BTW, Tomal, I don't understand what u said about cotulla's storage thing
For mee too Tomal's 8.5 Standard edition is almost perfect. My standard battery pack can withstand for 4 days now(Approx 30 mins GSM calls a day). Stable and fast.
Every developer has his own opinion what is good and what is bad...
If you make a "perfect" ROM. What does that mean? Take four devs and everyone has his own idea for one feature. The "perfect" ROM will be a mixture of four minds. And this one will be crap. Just because it will be the minimal consensus...

I agree.
And every developed ROM some users like, and others don't. Some stick to the previous ROM by a developer, and other users prefer other ROM's... That's what I love about xda-developers is the diversity. I see others enjoying ROM's they like. I'd hate to enforce my likes on others. We all have different needs and uses for our UNI's. I'm sure those that need VT would like to see something developed for them - even if the rest of us disliked the ROM for other reasons.
The ROM I choose is the best for me... it's not necessarily the best ROM (...although I vote it is )
We have speed and stability... Bring on diversity! Let's keep the Uni colourful, let's have the choice! (Where's the button for "freedom of choice!" ).
However with developers that we have/had... Beasty, Leo, VNInt, luca15thebig, Tomal, EFN, FrankZ, No3ulla, rDosti, ThingOnASpring, JWRights, nncuong, PhamQuang, minhantratan... others I forget to mention... I think development continues with no worries. I'm amazed at what ROM I'm looking at on my second-hand Uni!! (considering it's upbringing from WM5, a sub-£100 machine, and no prospect of an upgrade).

NEW MANILLA, i just wanted to post this because i want ppl to see the new rom and the new manilla and hopefully there will be some light shed upon the raphael users and hopefully something new in the future this might be a useless post, but i though id share the great work dutty made and show u guys some probable new inclusions to the rapahel

xboxmod is currently working on it as hard and fast as he can. Dutty's ROMS are super protected but there is always a way to decompile it.
i would love that scientific calc. i have the manila skin to make the calc pretty but it doesnt do landscape rotate into scientific like the iphone.
Landscape mode in the new manila looks really clean..
someone port this over my touch cries for this rom....

PS. instead of de-compiling it guys haha, just ask dutty, im sure he would release it for a port to other devices. if not just give it a little bit of time and he will release it.... he is a GREAT contributor to these forums and community, i dont see why he wouldn't with time.

I contacted him asking for a copy so we could port it to VGA but he hasn't replied yet.
I really miss dutty, he is a god to the custom rom. Back in the kaiser days is was all about him.
WOW looks awesome!! Can't wait for an update for the Touch Pro!

i just went from the iphone which i had for 3 years to the fuze and i would like to get the 6.5 version. i am new to the process of installing everything so if anyone has and tutorials, tips, or the best software to use please let me know. i checked out youtube and i didnt see any really clear info. any recommendations or how to info would be really great.

Hi and welcome to our playground.
Here are some nice rom's that i think are great:
EnergyROM 'Photon' is a very popular rom lot's of updates releases fast.
CM-XOR MM PRO Manila 2.5 VGA is the one i am using right now it has a very good batterylife (3 day's on normal use, with other roms i get at the most 1.5 day's).
It also has a ported version of Manila 2.5 which i really love.
DynastyPro Series is a rom that looks and feels more like the iphone which you might want to try to compare to your old phone.
For new apps for your phone you should check the Development and Hacking forum.
Lots of great stuff to play with.

Manila is the graphic interface that replaces the default wm homescreen.
There are currently 3 different versions around (correct me if i'm wrong)
The original build 1, the enhanced build 1.5 and the even more enhanced Manila 2.5 edition.
Those are the ones i know off.(there is also a 2D version but that is for phones not able to run 3D.)
We are a bunch of s***-ups (no harm intended)
If anyone else had posted in here asking that question he'd be flamed, but since he's from iphone to WM (which all of us agree is sooooo much better) we start handing him out all the good threads
