Here is a port of the Qteknology Hero v1.3b from WWE [1.76.405.6] ROM. This is using gboddina's 32A v2 kernel w/ iptables
-Tethering works
-SetCPU will not work as the CPU is set as a kernel option. See here
Download: http://www.briancrook.ca/magic/signed-Qteknology_Hero_WWE_v1.3b_32a.zip
Thanks to Qteknology, gboddina, Amon_RA, haykuro, and anyone else.
See original thread for more details.

Correct. and it turns down to around 284 when the screen is off.
This has been changed in v3 of the kernel, though. People really like their SetCPU

710 MHz is stable for 32A. It's well proven. Now.
If you are flashing this kernel over Cyanogenmod 5, I don't know what's wrong with you. The .27 kernel isn't meant for Donut, nevermind Eclair. Unless you know how to resolve some of the weird crap that will inevitably happen by you doing something like that, don't do it.
v3 Version works even when you setup setcpu profiles. enabled range from 176 MHz to 710 MHz. If you know how to customize setcpu, it is enabled to allow up to 768 MHz. included setcpu.txt that goes into /system/sd. Does not autodetect.
You can enable 729.6, 748.8 and 768 MHz by manually editing setcpu.txt.
ondemand governor seems to be buggy (exists also with Hero oc kernel, confirmed tests by than33). Try msm7k or performance instead.
Undervolted at lower speeds (245 MHz and down).
v2 Version is not setcpu compatible but does not require setcpu to scale properly. Does not display cpu frequencies. Possible dead on standby bug on some ROMs. SetCPU wont work because this kernel has perflock configured.
BOGOMIPS will still display 528 MHz but it is actually running at 710 MHz whenever 528 MHz is shown. Run a benchmark to see if it is actually faster.

Bluetooth, GPS wifi all still work on my phone
If your phone wont boot, revert boot.img and wlan.ko by reflashing those files or reflashing your ROM entirely.
I deleted the kernel source off my computer for this. What you see is what you get
Can I just flash this over an existing cursorsense ROM then?
Yes, that's what i just did.
My score in linpack went from 2.32 (average) up to 3.13. And the phone looks stable and responsive.

That's the point
Haha sorry for that it was early and I'm a bit of a noob - anyway, definitely stable as hell so far, with only a bit more battery drain. Dolphin browser is noticeably smoother.
I was having issues a few weeks ago using any other kernel other than cursors, but this one is working fine (for the obvious reasons). Problem was yellowing and interlacing issues on the screen. I would be curious to try another ROM and flash this kernel to see if it would help those with the newer Rogers magics.
EDIT: don't do this. wouldn't boot past blank screen. wooooo ADB!
This is running on my 32A Magic right now. Everything seems okay actually.
Battery life doesn't seem much worse neither. This patch just bumps the frequency up without changing voltage.
WHat's about test with app Benchmark?

does it work on 2.1 Sense UI ROM (e.g. Smoki, CapySlide)?
Flashed on top of Capymod's ROM based on Sanpei's Legend 0.4 (Eris). Phone no longer boots.
6.35 Radio
1.76.2007 SPL
HTC Magic 32A (Rogers)
Reverted to pre-patched system.img and it's fine again though.
Do you think this is dangerous for the phone? I mean, I know there's always a certain risk, but is it high?

I said this is for 1.5 Sense roms. Why are you guys even trying this for 2.1 roms?

I know in computer OC'ing, the danger is heat, hence the advent of things like water cooling and fans the size of a hubcap.. If the same rings true, I don't think we have too much to worry about as the upping of the frequency hasn't put out any noticeable heat increase during gaming, calls, and regular usage. At least on my phone.

Strangely enough Linpack reports no apparent improvement after flashing the update over, still in the 2.2-2.3s. Using CursorSense 1.2.6.1, 6.35 radio, on top of 32A. Any ideas?

Ok. I'm testing, but...
I installed CursorSense 1.2.4 fresh after full wipe, then 1.2.6 and got problem with superuser, then installed 1.2.6.1 - problems with superuser were gone
Installed Linpack 1.1.2, tested without patch...
Then installed patch via recovery, started, tested with Linpack again
No 3.xxx points, same 2.390-2.410 points
Why?
I explore patch - it contain 08dalviklink script. After installing patch - script can be found in /system/etc/init.d. SO patch installed successfully, but why Linpack results are same???
p.s. In build version: Cursorsense32A-1.2.6 + Dalvik-Cachemod by xau. What's wrong?
p.p.s.
Turned wifi off. Results are same
Disconnect from computer. Results are same.
Second try
Wiped everything
Installed 1.2.4, then 1.2.6.1, then patch
Tested by Linpack - got 2.41
Disappointment...

i second this as well... apparently superbad 1.6 is said to have a better battery life..
If you want to use the newest SuperBad, all you need to do is download any overclock kernel for 32A like pershoot's or dumfuq's (or mine) and flash it after flashing the 32B version of the ROM and it will work, for instance I'm running chromatic 2.1 on my 32A with no problems
i only found cyanogen kernel so far
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=681165
so just flash this on top of the 32B ROM? sorry to ask this again but i just want to confirm once again before flashing
thanks for the answer
Yeah that's the kernel I ported. SuperBad is a heavily customized version of cyanogenmod but it still uses cyanogen's kernel. I know for certain that everything should work.
alright, thanks rps13!!!

it's definitely working i can say.
just flash the kernel on top of the rom. this superbad is fast and very smooth in my opinion. however the battery life is still poor.
because superbad 1.6 base on CM5.08 T4 , I thought that you can try to change boot.img with CM5.08 T4 32A roms, my tim G2 is not here , I will try it latter

work only with old (3.22) radio

i have tried. but i cant get 850 OC as he said , i can get 576 Oc only. i suspect BC only OC to 576 in all his kernel
just flash the ROM for G1, and then flash a kernel for 32A (there are a few).
once you apply the kernel, then thats all..
about the OC, of course you wont get it since ure using different kernel now.
superFroyo v2.8.2 guys please port these rom for 32a device

Perfectly well
Well I don't think anybody should do any special port for any G1/32B roms.
I you wish to flash any of the roms in g1 section, the only thing you need to do is flash one of pershoot/bcrook/dumfuq 32A kernels on top of it and it will work just fine. Just make sure you flash the correct kernel version according to the rom base CM version.
In my opinion there is not a significant benefit to porting SuperFroyo since we now have other Froyo roms (without sense ui) that....
(1) Run on 32a 3.22 and 6.35 radios
(2) Have JIT working
(3) Have overclock kernels available up to ~700+ MHz
(4) Have Spareparts, CyanogenMod Settings and SetCPU for tweaking rom performance
These roms can now easily get 4.0-5.0 in Linpack and are stable.
Out of curiousity, I ported SuperFroyo a few days ago. The performance tweaks in SupSetup were not capatible with the .32 Sanpei kernel that was available for the 32a 6.35 radio at the time I did the port. We recently have the .34 kernel for the 32a 6.35 radio (thanks to carz12 and Switch33). I will update the ported SuperFroyo with the .34 kernel for the 32a 6.35 radio tonight or tomorrow hopefully. I don't think the result will be better than the other Froyo roms we have now, but I am happy to post a link if people want it.
thank you brother giant_rider for your hard work to give us the happiness
thanks you again giant

Hey giant_rider, I want link.
Thanks
giant please post the link
Here is a link to a ported SuperFroyo rom.
It is running Sanpei's .32 kernel for 32a 6.35 radio.
Some of the features in SupSetup are not enabled because they are not compatible with the kernel the way it is set up.
http://rapidshare.com/files/408904656/SuperFroyo2.4_32a_NR_v0.2.zip.html
I have been unable to get this rom to boot properly using the carz / switch .34 kernel. You can try flashing that kernel over this rom from recovery if you like. I think all of the settings in SupSetup could be enabled with the .34 kernel.
I am still sceptical whether this rom will be any better than the ones we have for 32a 6.35 or 3.22.
For a fast lite rom, I suggest you try flashing Switch's Fusebox Froyo, then install SetCPU and up the max CPU to 652 or 691 MHz. I did this tonight and got linpack of 4.6 and my phone is stable.
giant_rider,
Thanks

Is there any other boot versions? The samba beta v2 had many to choose from.
Nope. Only one. But I am able to use with Samba boot option. So far so good. never hanged or ghost call.
Just installed over samba rom without any wipe. Used original boot from samba, i never overclock my phone. Everything is smooth, some apps are missing (cell broadcast widget :-( , whatsapp...) and some are added, some NeverWillUse buddy apps etc. I will definetly stay on this rom for some time.
Sent from my LG-P920 using XDA App
very nice, stable and smooth rom. (installed on german p920 over v21 thiaiz clean v.0.2)

Nice. Would it be possible to make OC and undervolting kernel that will run 1,3GHz cpu and 400MHz gpu on Gingerbread rom as it is on Maximum Velocity froyo rom? I would like to have it on ginger cause I dont want to downgrade and flash Froyo baseband. It would be nice in a final Samba rom.
