during calls i'm not able anymore to activate speakerphone that's why the option has been replaced by a new one "transfer sound to" which open the same menu
Probably one application has modified the registry.
no one can suggest how to restore? or where to check in the registry?

Yeah, get any .wav file you want and chuck in in your Windows directory. Now go to Start, Settings, Sounds and Notifications, Notifications (tab) and select "Messaging: New Text Message" in the top drop-down box. Make sure "Play Sound" is ticked and then select the sound in the drop-down box. Your .wav file should be there.

I do not get SMS sound notifications even though I have set the notification as mentioned in the o2 instructions manual. A soft and hard reset do not resolve the issue.
Any thoughts on this? Is there a windows registry hack that I can carry out in order to resolve this?

Okay, this is a bit detailed this one, but for some reason it's comforting to me to get the SMS confirmation dialog window, but the sound it plays with it is LOUD and really annoying. I can't find an entry for that sound in the settings (though there is one for MMS sent). Any ideas?
Just had a look as I thought there was... but I can't see it, so I guess not. Strange.
Some smart cookie will probably jump on here in a minute and tell you a reg hack to straighten that out. Good luck!

Yes, problem is i just wanted the sound turned off, not the visual! I find all the alert sounds a bit jarring, frankly....
I lost my MMS when I changed this setting in the Advanced Config tool. anyone know why?
I have been looking for a way to mute or disable voice typing sound when you click the microphone but can't for the life of me find any setting for it. I have my phone on DND all the time, but still get these annoying UI sonds that I can't find a way to disable. I previously found that the screenshot click sound wouldn't turn off for me either even with sounds disabled in camera settings. I had to rename the camera_click file in system/media/UI. I do not see anything in here though for the voice typing click sound. Does anyone know where I can turn this off if I just missed the setting somewhere or possibly where the sound file is? Hi... I've converted to Android 3 days now and love my new P20! But... One feature I miss from my iPhone is setting different notification sounds for emails / texts / apps. I also had separate text tones for each contact. I can see how you do this in Android. Is there a way to do this? All help & guidance gratefully received!

Sadly you cannot do these (As of my knowledge) with EMUI 8.1 . But you can change the call ringtone of reach contact by going to Contacts -> The Contact name -> Ringtone to change the ringtone

If you're using gmail app, open app, hit settings, go to general settings, manage notifications, then click on the mail account (left side where is says "Allow these notifications to make sounds") and not the bar to turn on notifications. Now click on sound to choose your sound.
