I don't think that i need this one-!
I better choose one of from GSM's back crystal looking covers-!

You can only use covers that are specifically made for the CDMA version of the Diamond. All Diamond variants differ in shape. Look very closely at the shape of the covers and you will see the differences.
The covers for the HTC Diamond, MDA Compact IV and CDMA will not be interchangeable with each other.

yup thats the cover. the crystal effect ones wont fit i presume. the CDMA diamond is very similar to the compact iv but its gsm.

I don't think the CDMA and victor(MDA compact IV's original name is HTC victor) covers are that similar.
The CDMA has a different shape battery I think, which probably won't fit behind a victor cover because the victor uses a normal diamond battery.

Thank you for advancing your time-!
You helped a lot, it clears up all-!
But i have an other question, i don't like a look of CDMA Diamond, can i change it somehow-?
I mean, is there any back covers or aluminum cases-?

I appreciate the response - but, it did not answer my question.
I know there are sda models available - wanted to know if the inner guts would fit
thanks again
The PBA of all Tornado is the same, so any will fit any housing for a Tornado. I am sure that the PBA also fits in the case of an SPV C550 (Hurricane), as O2 has delivered it as such in their O2 XDA phone model (I suspect only delivered in Germany, unfortunately w/o WiFi). I have placed a normal Tornado PBA (from a Vodafone VDA 1240) to the O2 XDA phone case and enjoy the synergy of form and function .
Be aware that you need to have the keyboard + case of the new phone as well with all space-keeping rubber and foam parts. So basically you just remove the phone-PBA + display from the old case and put it to the new, care for the rubber parts!
thanks - that's all the info I needed
Appreciate the response

I just noticed by looking at E-Bay that keyboard and keypad from SDA won't fit Qtec, and price of those are as much as the case. Unless you are planning on buying a used not working Qtec, and use your SDA internal parts with Qtec's kb & kp. Some of the case kits include the keyboard but not keypad(inner skin). Good Luck mate. Qtec looks very nice and I believe their D-Pad doesn't have same issue as SDA's.

[i9000] Stylus - good for SGS?

I'm thinking of getting a stylus for my few days old SGS as I'm clumsy when using the keyboard.
Are those selling over at Amazon or ebay good for daily use?
You'd need a capacitive stylus, a normal one won't work with the SGS touchscreen
The best I have found are pogo sketch pen which are meant for capacitive touch screen.
Expensive but worth the price as the cheaper ones worn out soon & leave a mark on the screen. I tried 2 of the cheaper ones as that is what available in our local market.
You should be able to get these in your local Funan IT mall, else try the Chinese one, if you buy please post the review here so others can decide too.

just paid for one from ebay. should have it in a couple of days as its located in another state here in aus.
pen for SGS
don't be disappointed if the pen you ordered is bad. I have 3 of them (noname from ebay) and they're all awful! They just won't slip on the screen and they're like a hard piece of rubber. But recently I used a samsung stylus and it's great. I don't know if they have many models, that was a short one with a cap that could extend it's size.

OEM HTC Hard Shell Cases for under $10

I was looking for the HTC metallic cases online, and found them on many sites for $19.95, which I didn't want to pay after seeing some posts on here saying the clips wore down. I found them on htcpedia.com for $8.99 for metallic, and $9.99 for the clear and black ones.
Links:
http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-metallic-hard-shell-cases.html
http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-hard-shell-cases-1.html
I've never purchased from them but you can use Paypal and there are customer reviews on the products so I gave it a shot. Just thought I'd share in case anyone else was interested!
What do you mean by metallic? are they metal or metal apearance with a plastic build..
That's just what HTC calls them, I don't know. Look at the pics?
Does metallic mean they're like my case? Mine looks plastic but the inside of it is metal, something about the signal, I don't know for sure.
Hmmm, if someone does decide to order, would like to hear a review on the quality.

Search this forum. There previous posts about it. Also a user from here made a YouTube video about the black one. Just search for it on there.
Also ime metallic refers to color and not material.
Here, I got the links for you.
Metallic: http://www.youtube.com/user/wirelessground#p/search/18/UQObS6fsY6Q
Black/clear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTpyMfm_WHM & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nR-OS12ileM&feature=related
I have the clear case. Bought it at my local T-Mobile store for $9.99. It has a very snug fit but looks amazing as it lets the sexinesss of the G2 show. The case has the stand which allows the phone to sit up on its own in landscape or portrait. Be careful pulling case off the back of the phone. Very tight and if not careful will scratch phone.

I think you're mistaken - these HTC cases don't have kickstands. I think Body Glove or someone made that one.
Anyway, just a quick review - my case got here in 2 days with Fed Ex (NY to IL), I'd definitely buy from that website again. The case made the phone seem bulky at first but after the first day I was used to it, and it doesn't seem odd at all anymore. I like the finish a lot. I would recommend these cases, especially since they're made by HTC and that gives them the best fit possible.

They are great, but they really get in the way when typing on the top row of keys.

[Q] Black and Silver OEM Back Cover

Does anyone have one of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320715342088&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Is it really OEM? Are the materials the same? Aluminum and plastic? Does anyone have any pics they can share? Thanks!
That looks sick! I would definitely get one later on after I've accumulated more blemishes on my current back plate.
Looks nice. I may get a backup back instead of a case. It looks legit. May be bootleg though.
That looks great, but here's one that looks closer to oem and costs less.

man that black/silver back looks pretty nice...
I just noticed the black and silver doesn't have the antenna mount holes on it. I wonder how reception and death grip is working with that one.
I think the point of this was directed at people who is interested in switching away from the tricolor-ed back.
Edit:terrible English fix

The seller just responded my question about the item and I guess the black parts are really brown??...See below...
Dear cellapod,
Is this an accurate picture of the product? Are the colors black and silver? Is it really OEM, Meaning are the materials the same as the stock cover (aluminum and plastic)? Does it have all the right sensory parts underneath the cover?
"hi, this is photo of the item itis brown and grey original part"
Excellent
I like both back covers, but the silver one is more my taste. I will wait until they show up for a couple of bucks on Amazon.
Hopes crushed

I am not able to find this anywhere, maybe one of you has an idea? And no, a factory is not an optiom since i don't need a thousand of these, just one or two.
Yeah, it's an old thread, but i can admit: it would be awesome if there was transparent back plate

It was known for a quite long time now. But Note 5 / S6 Edge+ have glass+metal construction which cannot be seperated (you can't access the battery) , while S5 has plastic construction, where you can take off the back cover to get access to battery, sd card or sim card.
In Note 5 / S6 Edge+ you had to heat up the back glass to loose the adhesive underneath, pull out the glass, then scratch off the color layer, and finally readhere the glass to phone.
In our S5 we can't do something like that, because we have a plastic cover which is not transparent. I would love to have ability to simply mod it like that, but it is not possible
Search eBay or look for someone who molds things on eBay or youtube
Maybe you could print the case with an 3D Printer ?
There are Companys which offer this even with transparent "print".

Any luck?
+1
I want a couple too, any luck?
I bought the RIngke Fusion with clear back. It's a case, but it's tight enough that you can take out the back cover and use it as is.
