Does anyone know if the internal guts from a US bought SDA will fit in the housing of a Qtek 8310 ??
Can possibly get a housing for cheap - just do not know if the guts will fit
If anyone can help - it would be appreciated
Have a good one

I appreciate the response - but, it did not answer my question.
I know there are sda models available - wanted to know if the inner guts would fit
thanks again
The PBA of all Tornado is the same, so any will fit any housing for a Tornado. I am sure that the PBA also fits in the case of an SPV C550 (Hurricane), as O2 has delivered it as such in their O2 XDA phone model (I suspect only delivered in Germany, unfortunately w/o WiFi). I have placed a normal Tornado PBA (from a Vodafone VDA 1240) to the O2 XDA phone case and enjoy the synergy of form and function .
Be aware that you need to have the keyboard + case of the new phone as well with all space-keeping rubber and foam parts. So basically you just remove the phone-PBA + display from the old case and put it to the new, care for the rubber parts!
thanks - that's all the info I needed
Appreciate the response

I just noticed by looking at E-Bay that keyboard and keypad from SDA won't fit Qtec, and price of those are as much as the case. Unless you are planning on buying a used not working Qtec, and use your SDA internal parts with Qtec's kb & kp. Some of the case kits include the keyboard but not keypad(inner skin). Good Luck mate. Qtec looks very nice and I believe their D-Pad doesn't have same issue as SDA's.

When the phone rings in this leather case, before I pick it out, the connecton is opened oder canceled, because display is active in the case while I am taking it out?!?!?!
Is there any way to disable display when somebody is calling, in order not to activate it in leathe case?

The HTC logo side is the back of this case. Put the Diamond in screen facing the flat side...
there is no htc logo on the o2 case!! what is the difference?
If you put your fingers inside, you will feel that the nylon strap which constitutes the bottom of the case is smoother on one side than on the other. At least, that is the case on mine, which came from the Orange package. This corresponds to the side without the HTC logo.
Mines on preorder as it didn't come with one
Been waiting 2 weeks already, 11 days more til it arrives.
it's a pitty that the pre-orders have to pay an extra amount of money to get this leather case, while it is now included in the OEM HTC Diamond box.
I really think HTC launched the phone to fast(maybe because the iphone), so the send out HTC OEM Diamonds without leather cases(just not ready yet), wich in my opinion is really bad for a phone rated at €450.
in the dutch case its not included.... :S

Included in my Orange UK box.
wasn't included with mine which i picked up in Dubai.
i bought it separately today though for $20.. and started having issues with it answering the phone on my behalf as i slide the phone out when it rings :S
Included in the Vodafone offer FYI
It's Included in Spanish Vodafone Box.
Where can you buy this? Ebay?
Wasn't in my oem htc bosx either, but i was able to order it with my phone from Germany.... i think I paid 20 euros or something like this...
not in the box
It was not in the box of mine touch diamond UK(ordered in the netherlands) so I bought one for about 30 euros
It's totally unclear to me how in Europe, although the price is virtually the same, some countries get the case and some not. This means that for us who don't, the same package is about 8% more expensive.
I wonder how in heavens can HTC justify this. Actually I know the answer: they don't...
Not included in Sweden either...
Not on purpose. I was loading stuff into my truck yesterday, and at some point I apparently leaned up against a hard, pointy object that pressed right into the camera lense of my fuze. When I pulled it out of my pocket, the backlight was on but the screen was black. I got no response from any buttons, including the power button. After a soft reset, I got the vibrate upon bootup, suggesting that my phone was functioning and booting up just fine, but nothing on the entire top half worked. No screen, backlight, or button functioning.
I thought all was lost, but today I tried again, and it boots up just fine! Everything works! However the camera module is still smashed...
Does anyone know where I can buy a new camera module? I'm competent enough to open my device and replace it if I can just find one at a decent price.

I looked around, and found this one-!

I don't think that i need this one-!
I better choose one of from GSM's back crystal looking covers-!
You can only use covers that are specifically made for the CDMA version of the Diamond. All Diamond variants differ in shape. Look very closely at the shape of the covers and you will see the differences.
The covers for the HTC Diamond, MDA Compact IV and CDMA will not be interchangeable with each other.

yup thats the cover. the crystal effect ones wont fit i presume. the CDMA diamond is very similar to the compact iv but its gsm.
I don't think the CDMA and victor(MDA compact IV's original name is HTC victor) covers are that similar.
The CDMA has a different shape battery I think, which probably won't fit behind a victor cover because the victor uses a normal diamond battery.
Thank you for advancing your time-!
You helped a lot, it clears up all-!
But i have an other question, i don't like a look of CDMA Diamond, can i change it somehow-?
I mean, is there any back covers or aluminum cases-?
First look at the offical Desire Case
HTC Desire Case - PO S520
Should have one more image later on today.
Im torn between this and the ivisi shield......
One more image as promised

nice, gonna get this once out as I like the one with my HD2
Also found on eBay, slightly cheaper and stock ETA is 4th of May:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-HTC-D..._MobilePhonesCasesPouches?hash=item5d28bcbc33
is that a strap that goes over the desire and velcro onto the case?
also does the desire fit in all the way as in the pic it looks like it does not go in all the way

Even cheaper if you buy directly from their site. £10.00 including UK delivery. www.supergps.co.uk
I know, I just bought it on ebay for £11.99 and then remembered they'd got a website and foolishly looked to check on the price - wish I hand't bothered!
PLAY.com has it as well coming out 15th may
http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/...e-Google-Nexus-One-Pouch-PO-S520/Product.html
might just go for this http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/htc-po-s491-desire-standard-leather-pouch-black-p24270.htm same as above without the velcro pull thingy which would just get on my nerves.
edit: Just did a search for the same item on the handtec site and it comes up as a hero/legend case. On that basis it looks like a mistake by mobilefun so I would avoid it.

It's not a velcro strap...it's a pull tab, which makes it easy to gain access to your phone...you pull on the tab and phone slides out.
Does anyone know if the inside of the case is lined with microfibers? Or if it's just leather lined? Know it's not released yet...but wondered whether anyone who has had experience of HTC pouches could shed any light on it...
If it's like the HD2 pouch then it'll be lined, hope so anyway
Just seen that this is now expected to be released mid-July!!!
Bit of a piss take if you ask me
If you search on google, lots of retailers advertising as releasing 7th or 10th May mostly. Except expansys and htcaccessortstore (which is expansys anyway) which are advertising July.
Hope it is available from 10th May. Looking forward to get one.
BTW has anyone tried ths pouch from amazon:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/FoneM8-PREMIUM-Slip-Pouch-Desire/dp/B003K03B44/ref=pd_rhf_p_t_1
Only £0.95 and for £0.96 you can get 5 x screen protectors. Is this true?
I bought the screen protectors off them and they are top notch. I'm tempted to try that cover incase it is equally as good. Wish I had spotted it and I could have saved 2 quid shipping.
JAmes.
Does anyone know where can I find a genuine HTC Sensation back cover? I've scoured across amazon, ebay and such online shops, but most of the covers sold are not genuine and some just have photos of the real deal but sell fake ones(not necesserily bad ones). Both new and used would be fine, as long as it's in good condition. If anyone has any experience with this matter, any input will be greatly appreciated. I need this original housing because mine has some cosmetic damage...

I got a new one from a seller on Amazon for $12 half a year ago.
Someone is practically giving them away on eBay. I haven't bought one from him myself, but he's using the OEM part number. I don't see any reason to suspect they are not OEM, but I can't say for certain.

Genuine, AND from Hong Kong? The two don't normally go hand in hand in my experience...

Does anyone have any actual experience using a sensation case that does not have the copper connector to the left of the speaker? All the pictures I found, like the one below, show every connector except that specific one beside the speaker and I don't want to commit to one if it's going to reduce my signal quality.
Missing connector to the left of the speaker

i think the best way to answer your question is to look at your phone and see if the indented area where the part your wondering about is supposed to insert into, and see if there are gold plates inside. mine doesnt have it so it doesnt matter which type i use (i have 2 different covers, one thats gold and one that black, i get the same signal either way). if yours does, then you better find a cover that is gold in that area
