Hi!
I am looking for a 2 way call record solution, that not just records my voice but the caller's voice too.
I know that the call record feature is hardware (maybe ROM?) dependent. Can UNI do this job?
I try VITO Audi Notes, but this only records my voice. Try with the 2_Way_Recording.cab, but its the same...
Is the any way to record the complete conversation?

Hi! I am using VITO Audio Notes 1.03 and it works fine. Though the other party sound is not very loud yet the sound is clearly heard. I have used it on Luca's WM6.5 and currently using it on Tomal's WM6.5. It worked fine on both ROMs.
Give it a try, may be it is something with your settings or so.
Haque
1, install 2_Way_Plus_InCall_Recording.cab
2. then install VIto Audio notes

Have a deep read here:

It worked for me on Tomal 8.7 and 8.8
Haven tested on my actual ROM
Hope it helps,

I need a good program for the Tilt that will record voice conversations and voicemails.
On paper, Resco Audio Recorder looked perfect. However, it didn't work right... not even once. With the out of the box settings, the recorded messages were too quiet. I then turned up the gain, but the program just couldn't seem to record correctly. Sometimes, it would start recording, but the final mp3 file would be 0KB. Then, it seemed to record longer conversations (more than a minute long), but playback revealed the recording to be all out of place, as if someone cut it up and rearranged it.
Is there a good alternative I can use?? Oh, and please keep any "legality" comments out of this thread. The Federal Wiretapping act allows recording and legal use of a recording, as long as one party in the conversation (me) consents to being recorded.
Thanks!
Also looking for the same. Hope that the Tilt doesn't have the same hardware limitations that the Hermes has.

Vito Audio notes works great and is the best
Just found an excellent post at HoFo.
It would appear WM5/WM6 is a POS when it comes to recording audio. I'm thoroughly shocked....

All ready found a very informational thread over at P P C W
The Kaiser does indeed have the same hardware limitations as the Hermes. They seem to be in little hurry to correct it.
That's very unfortunate, I am otherwise very happy with the Kaiser. The one thing I miss about my Palm Treo phone is how easy it was to record phone calls and the quality was very good too!

Do you have to be on speaker phone to be able to record conversations?
Vito audio notes like i said is the best way to go it records incoming and outgoing and no you do not have to be on the speaker phone,
Have you tested this? And if yes using what device (also specify ROM, etc)? It doesn't seem to work at all as far as recording calls on the Tilt!

I have Vito set to record all calls automatically but it's not recording anything at all. I am just using the phone with no wired or wireless headset. Do you first launch Vito and then go to make a call, or is Vito supposed to automatically record the call once you make a call or a call comes in (assuming you have that option set)?

That's true, but certain states such as California have statutes that do not allow recording. "Cal. Penal Code §§ 631, 632: It is a crime in California to intercept or eavesdrop upon any confidential communication, including a telephone call or wire communication, without the consent of all parties."
You can go here to check your state http://rcfp.org/taping/
I just don't want someone to get sued or arrested if they try to use a recording in a two-party state.
For about a year, I walked around with a digital recorder in my pocket at work and was able to use some of stuff I recorded when I left the company.
Talent Anyone?
Seeing how talented the programmers are here, I'm surprised that they haven't developed a program that will internally record a phone call, as appose to relying on the small phone speaker for clarity.
I have been in pursuit of this type of program for about a year in a half, trying to find one that was like my Nokia, still unsuccessful. Maybe if we contact Dutty, he could possible put something together?
I tried Resco and Vito, but it doesn't actually record the "actual" phone conversation. I hear mainly my voice and barely hear the other party in the recording as if its just recording from the actual microphone on the phone. Is there any way to record the actual conversation?
Hello,
I'm looking for application that allows me to record my phone conversations directly in my device as audio files. Is there's something like this available for PocketPC? Currently I have the Cingular 8525 (with Pays' WM6.1 Rom).
Thanks,
Edit: Just wanted to add, there's no illegal reason for this. I have a music website and I need it to record phone interviews with bands and such type of things.
Although I cannot test it right now, back in the days I used WM2003 I used the notes application during a call to record the conversation. The application looks the same in WM6.1 as it did in WM2003 so I would think you could still use that. I am unsure of a PC application that can playback the files though. Hope this points you in a working direction.
Thanks,
I've used the notes app before. but the quality is not that good, and I believe it only records a few seconds. Also I think the call needed to be in speakerphone to record the other party. There should be something else out there that has better features.
I will like to do long hours of voice recording. Maybe 4 Hours? What is the good software that use little file space. Any to recommend?

Windows Voice Recorder
My old Touch 3G had a Voice Recorder software built in the original ROM, that you can't find in TD2. I've tried to copy the shortcut of Record from Windows/appbuttons to Windows/Start Menu/Programs and assigning a hardware button, but it doesn't work!
Can someone share the application from Touch 3G? I've sold mine.

This one works perfectly fine for me. No need to do anything, just install the app. Sound from all sources, including Bluetooth, is working just fine.
