STOCK ROM

has anybody dumped the stock rom from the sprint snap?
i am hoping to find the same. i want to flash back to the stock ROM, too many bugs in the 3VO WM6.5 ROM right now.

Can I upgrade the new myTouch v1.2 with HTC Sense?

I am a huge fan of the HTC Sense UI for the Hero and I would like to have it on the myTouch. I'm looking forward to buying one soon, but I don't want to risk rooting a brand new phone. So i was wondering if the Rogers upgrade for their HTC Magic+ can be used to add Sense UI to the new myTouch.
Yes, if you make it.
make what?

Not currently. The new MyTouch doesn't really have a wide selection of ROMS at the moment. (read none...)
Once you get root, you can install the stock Fender ROM with root access or a port of an eclair ROM (st0kes_eclair.) I personally haven't used the eclair ROM as I have heard it currently has some issues.
Best bet at this point is just to wait for HTC to release the kernel so more developers can start making us some custom ROMs.

thanks vantix. but im not really looking for a custom ROM. i just want to know if the HTC Magic+ update will work on for the myTouch 1.2. You can find that update here: htc.com/ca/support/magic-rogers/downloads/
I'm sorry but it won't. Your hardware is very close, but not exactly the same as the Magic (your touchscreen differs, and you ave the 3,5 mm jack). Don't flash this, as most probably it will break your phone.
aww sad day. thanks movikun
Oooh man you don't wanna flash that htc magic+ from rogers. Trust me hahaaha. The people on rogers (such as myself) were forced to flash that (thank god I didnt) and yeah it could possibly braek your phone as well.
You currently can't even flash a custom rom over to MyTouch LE because of the drivers issues. You won't have touchscreen, etc. This is being worked on... sorta.
Since the Fender/LE is Google then you will not see HTC SenseUI on it.
To get SenseUI on your MyTouch v1.2 you will have to do some work.
Get the source from HTC and use the LE Kernel (with drivers)
Port it to a SenseUI rom OR SenseUI source.
Probably won't be worth the trouble.

How do I put 2.1 on my already rooted g1?

I am having trouble finding a video on changing my cyanogen rom to 2.1 or a faster rom any ideas on how I can?
thanks
Do you mean a ported version of 2.1 or an official version , if it ever comes out for G1 ?
Unroot and flash official rom

Stock ROM with custom kernel

Hello,
Is there a custom kernel that I can flash over my stock ROM for my Sprint Hero so that I can overclock the processor? My phone is already rooted, but aside from that I'd rather keep it mostly stock.
Thanx
sorry, could a mod move this to the Hero CDMA android development section

[Q] question about cm 6.1 rc1

i rooted my alltel htc hero cdma, but my mms doesent work, plz help,i flashed a fix i found on da web but it diddnt help any.
It may be a problem with the rom itself so try and flash another rom or reflash the one you are currently using. Just remember to backup your info and wipe/factory reset then flash
i reflashed and it still dnt work,i need my mms,iz there any other android 2.2 roms cdma that can help me for htc hero
Try androidspin.com's release matrix have plenty of Roms there just choose your phone choose 2.2 and you should be ready to go.
I would recommend trying a CyanogenMod based rom, as I have run CM on many htc devices (including my old eris) and have experienced excellent stability, as well as great features.
sigh*
