My Phone (Touch HD) has attempted to unlocked itself in my pocket and is now at the enter "a1b2c3" stage. However I cannot get a soft keyboard / SIP to appear to do this! Any thoughts anyone? Desperately need this resolved.
Already tried a softreset?
Call your own number
Call your number. After answering the call on your phone, you could open the soft keyboard of your phone. you could now type "a1b2c3"... enjoy

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have an Alpine and a GPS unit that supports hands free calling/dialing (Navigon 7100). I have no problem pairing the two and making phone calls (using the GPS to send the number to dial to my Alpine) once I've entered my Password (to unlock the device). Here's the problem I'm having. When the Alpine suspends (Powers Off) and the Password activates (i.e. if I turn it back on, I need to re-enter the password to get to the today screen), I am no longer able to dial out using hands free (the number actually gets entered in the password area).
Does anyone know how I could work around this? (But without disabling my password).
Recommended registry hacks/new programs (even if I have to purchase one) are welcomed.
Thanks in advance.
Justin
I've heard about this, but I can't find the article to see how somebody else resolved this same issue(don't think it was here...or at least I can't find it). I need to dial two asterisks immediately after eachother. When I try this I get an asterisk and a P. I can't access my work voicemail without entering two asterisks.
I have two basic scenarios. I either dial in when nobody is there and I get automated attendant, enter my mailbox number, it rings 4 times, then on pickup I have to dial ** then my box number and password. Off hours I could probably create a number with a lot of pauses to accomplish this, but if I call in during the day, I get the receptionist, and I need to manually enter the **. Waiting a couple of seconds before pressing each will give me two asterisks, but I need to enter it within 1 second and WM6 won't let me do it.
I have a 8525 using tmo. Please help anybody!!! I don't mind a work around, I just need it to work.
Love the 8525. Pressing ** through dialer will give you a P, but slide out the keyboard and use the * there and it works fine.
same problem... but no resolution
I have the diamond (no slide out keyboard)... is there another fix? anyone?
Hi everybody,
I have an HTC S710. Up to today, on top of the screen, next to the G (GPRS) a number 1 appeared. The phone worked perfectly.
Today, for no apparent reason, a number 2 appears, and suddenly, Im not being able to place any phone calls.
I can recieve phone calls and I can send and recieve sms properly. Just to be sure, I tried my SIM on a different phone and I was able to place calls.
Anybody has any idea on how to change this or how to set it back to the normal settings? Help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!
Dan
It seems you have changed your outgoing phone line.
This service is called 'ALS' (Alternate line service).
It depends on your SIM card, whether this service is available or not. As you've written yourself the number '2' appears in the display. I cannot tell you, how to switch back to line 1. But this is the error in your case.
Hope it will help anyway.
hi it is because yer opperator offers 2 lines
simply hold in the # key with the slide closed to switch between lines
so if it is on 2 now, hold # for about a second, and you will see line 1 apear again
Solved!!!
Pressing the # key solved it!
Thanks a lot for your help, it was great!!!
Hi,
I often call conference call lines where you have to enter an access number to get in. To add a wait to a number I simply ad a ";" (semicolon) where I want the wait to be. A number could look like this: 1-866-345-2350;23456678#. A window pops up at th wait and asks me if I want to send the following numbers, the ones after the ":". Normally when I hit "Ok" the numbers are sent. Not so on this Android 2.1 powered phone (Huawei Ascend). Nothing happens when I hit "Ok" so I am not getting into the conference. I am able to enter the numbers manually, but since I do this a lot it's really cumbersome having to do it.
I'm not sure whether this is an Android 2.1 or Huawei hardware problem, but I sure would like to find out! Does anyone here have any idea what the problem might be?
Hello,
Im getting a bit frustrated about this thing.
On my HTC Touch dual running the stock rom there is somekind of speeddail (when you hold 1 on the phone app it calls to the voicemail.
And thats the problem. When our cow milking robot calls. I answer, need to press 1 (to accept the message). But instead of sending the "1" to the milking robot it calls my voicemail and i cant answer the milking robot.
Anyway, is there a way to remove this? Delete is grayed out in the speeddail menu and i cant change the number of it.
Unfortunately this is set by default in almost every modern phone that you can find. I would suggest going into settings, there's an option to enter your own number. On my phone, if I leave this blank, the 1 speed dial won't work. I'm not too sure if this will also be the case on your phone but you can give it a try
on a Samsung Galaxy S.
