Omnia Slow response - General Topics

I bought my Samsung Omnia 8GB 4 months back.
Initially it worked very well. But recently I am experiencing slowness in response.
Touch screen takes min 10-20 sec to response. :-(
Any idea to fix this issue? Not installed much applications on to it.
Need urgent help!.

Welcome to forums
As this is an HTC devices only forum you won´t gettoo much atention, however in off topic there is a thread regarding samsung, perhaps there you can find help.
Good luck,

Hey Pulse,
have you put any cooked roms on it? I'm assuming you have taken the battery out and put it back in to give it a proper reboot?
You might wan't to go to omnia.modaco.com to get much more specific help.

XDA orbit Question from old XDA fan!

HI There
I have had two XDA's and loved them both, but found them impractacle when the battery ran out , I lost everything
Is the new Orbit any different or is there now a back up memory to allow it to save and not lose data?
Anyone know battery life on this device as well?
Many Thanks to you kind people for any help!
Hope i can be welcomed back into the Xda fold
(i am stuck between this and the sony 950i !)
Thanks
anyone know?
Hope someone can help thanks......
Presumably it will be a WM5 device and hence have persistent memory, like the Hermes etc.??
HI There
Thanks for the reply!
This is the deal breaker for me, If this thing loses all its settings etc like the previous two XDA / XDAIIi i had before then i will avoid it as its so annoying
all reads good though battery life, its just best knowing whether it retains everything if you can't get to a plug socket in time!
Anyone know yet? Many Thanks !!!
it's a windows 5 device so all settings and data are stored in the device and remain so even if all power runs out.
Hi you could have a look at this site.

Problems with the Vibrant / Nexus 1 vs. Vibrant

I had a couple of Nexus...and they are everything they say, that we all know they are
Sure some say hummingbirds are better, 4" is more, but you always have Froyo and you will always have the newer updates
I ask this cause of the probs I am experiencing with the Vibrant in another thread.
Black screens, comes back on, sits still, Launcher locked, then it does the vibrate thing in your hand ten times....Occasionally I have to restart
Is there a cause to this?
Should I do a factory Reset?
Could this be caused by using the Green Taskiller? should I use another? None?
Bottom line: if this is normal with everyone, would I regret going back to the Nexus One . I would have to pay more now from an online store AND I am leary about support
Thanks
Fix is in the galaxy s section
Thanks
I will look for it. I am not here to be spoon fed...
but if I can't find it I'll be back....if that's ok
I was just opening up email on the phone also, took 20 seconds..made me even miss my Blackberry 9700
Will it help with that
Again, thanks.. Heading out now, but will look and if I can't find, I will let you know if you are able to help
ERic
by the way, you were quick...thanks a lot

Help, samsung galaxy GT I9000M

I;m pretty new to this forum and have never really messed with my phone.
About a month ago the back cutton started to not work consistently. I searched the internet for some answers as my phone is our of warranty. Found a furum that suggested typing in *#*#2663#*#* to update the firmware for the touch screen. well that didn't work so god, now niwther of my soft buttons work at all.
If anyone knows a software fix for this I would greatly appreciate the very slow walk through on how to repair it. Phone is almost useless without out them and its 300 bucks to get a new one.
Thanks Chris

[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 Unresponsive touch screen

Recently i got myself my first smarthphone (yay!) it wasn't a very good one though GT-S6102: 290 MB ram and pretty small and can barely do anything. I always kept off from the Rooting stuff and getting other roms stuff since i was scared of messing up but after a while i got really curious (and bored) and decided to root my phone - success!. No issues, nothing. Then i decided to install a new rom to see how much of a performance boost it can give you, but... there the problems started... i turned on my phone - everything went fine but when i tried to click on the android dude that shows up when you turn your phone on for the first time - nothing happened... I thought, okay. Maybe it's just a bad ROM or something, so i removed the Battery to turn the phone off and installed another ROM - same results. I was starting to get scared because i knew that i have no warranty anymore because of the root. I installed quite a few different ROMs - same results. I started googling the problem but couldn't find much and i decided to get my old ROM back - i used something called Odin for that and yeah! i successfully got back my good 'ol rom, yet the touchscreen remains unresponsive. So my question is - is this even fixable? Or did i screw my phone in just 5 days? I really hope that there is a fix to that.
Also if replying i would recommend to explain it on a noob level because i'm pretty bad with these things as i'm new to them.
Thank you in advance!
Hi,
There is a chance you can get yourself up and running but it is possible that some hardware got borked
But this doesn't always mean you can't send it in for warranty, to find out more it is best to ask your question in a thread dedicated to your device, you will find a great q&a thread here

Best of luck!
