Connect via bluetooth to another phone for data? - General Questions and Answers

Is it possible on the T-Mobile Dash to set up a dial-up network connection over bluetooth?
I do not have a data plan on my Dash, but I have Broadband Access on my Verizon phone (tethering) and I want to use my Verizon connection on my Dash. I have been able to do this in the past with a Pocket PC version of Windows Mobile, however I cannot find the appropriate software to do this with my Dash Smartphone.
I've done my share of searching online, but I keep getting flooded with how to do DUN on the Dash to connect to a laptop, which is NOT what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to establish a dial-up connection FROM my Dash TO my Verizon dumbphone using bluetooth. I'm already sure my dumbphone supports DUN over Bluetooth (I connect with my laptop all the time).

Internet down when USB connected

My internet works fine on the xv6900 until I plug in the USB, then I'm guessing its trying to use internet connection sharing.
I've gone through the network connections settings on the pda but I don't see anything that is causing this.
I have unlimited data and don't want to use a landline to get online.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Possible?
Is it even possible?
I'm pretty sure I used to not have this issue.
Its a Vogue, and its disconnecting the cell internet when connected by usb.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask but here's my question.
I have O2 atom with wm6.1. I want to share my desktop internet connection via usb with the ppc. How can I do that?I'm using wired adsl therefore it is not possible for me to have wireless connection unless i buy a new wireless adsl modem.
when connected to activesync it share the connection
unless your settings on the ppc or the pc is blocking it

Droid Eris: Use as wireless internet bridge

Is there a way to use my Droid Eris as a wireless gateway/router?
The idea is to tether the Eris to a computer with a wired connection via USB and connect devices to the phone so they use the wired (faster) connection speed versus the cellular network.
As an example, someone might be stuck in a hotel that, miraculously, only provides wired internet access, and wants to watch HD movies over the network.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You could do that with the computer and bypass the phone altogether, assuming your laptop has wireless and almost all modern ones do.

Thanks for the response, I should have clarified:
The wired computer in question is running Windows XP with no Bluetooth capability and ICS locked down.
I have reserved admin rights (i.e. install, add new network connections) with a few core functions disabled (creating/joining home or office networks).
This may very well be a no-win situation, but I am wondering if the "heavy" lifting (i.e. connection bridging) could be done by the Eris.

[Q] WiFi tethering bridge to existing access point

Hi there,
At my girlfriend's house there's an existing WiFi access point for their home network and they also have a bunch of computers wired in with ethernet cable. Mobile reception in the house is terrible but I've found one spot by a window where I can sustain a pretty decent dc-hsdpa link. I'm able to tether my laptop to my phone, the phone creates a new WiFi network ap and my laptop connects to that. That works fine.
The thing is, what I'd really like to do, is to have access to the dc-hsdpa connection from some of the wired computers on her home network. To do that I want to have my phone bridge the house network - via their existing WiFi ap - to the mobile internet connection. I'd like the phone to provide a gateway on the house network that could be manually used from the other computers. (I want to avoid using DHCP or anything as it will disrupt the network for other users.)
I know this is technically possible but I'm struggling to find an application that allows for this functionality. I've spent a good amount of time searching around the internet but to no avail. Does anyone know where I can look or of a suitable application? (My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 flashed to run a rooted variant of the play edition KitKat rom.) I'm happy to pay money.
Cheers, Dave.
