save pictures to PICTURES folder on memory card? - Non-Touchscreen Windows Mobile Other

When I take a picture with my Samsung JACK (WinMo 6.1), it saves it to the memory card. Which is great. However, it saves it to "My Pictures".
The sliding panel for Photos only displays pictures from the "Pictures" folder on the memory card.
Has anyone figured out how to either
#1) Set the camera to automatically save to the "Pictures" folder instead of "My Pictures" on the memory card.
OR
#2) Set the sliding panel to read pictures from the "My Pictures" folder.

Change Camera save folder

If you want to change the location folder where pictures taken will be stored instead of My Pictures, create a new folder in My Documents (such Camera) in your Storage Card and in your main memory. (\Storage Card\My Documents\Camera) and change the following string value:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P1\SaveFolder
Change the string value to the folder name you want (Camera in this example).
You can also do the same for Videos, the registry is:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P2\SaveFolder
Change this in the same manner as above, or you can even make videos and images to be saved in the same folder.
You can use the same technique to also cause the pictures to NOT go into "My Documents" on the card. I found it annoying the camera program would create "My Documents" on the card, which essentially adds "My Documents" as a folder to every application.
Anyway, instead of putting the directory name in the SaveFolder registry key, put in "..\<dirname>" (without the quotes, of course).
So, on my unit:
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P1\SaveFolder = ..\My Pictures
Now images save directly to \Storage Card\My Pictures

Mnt folder duplicating pictures

Hello,
I am having duplicate pictures show up in my gallery. The original pictures are on my SD card, but when I went and looked at the duplicate pictures and where they are located, they are on the SD card as well in the MNT folder. I deleted 1 picture from the MNT folder and it deleted it from the SD card as well. Anybody know how to fix this, I don't care if they are in 2 places, I just don't want them to show up in my photo gallery as a duplicate picture.
In the folder you don't want to show in gallery create or place an empty file named .nomedia.
Yes there is a period at the beginning of the name ( makes it hidden ).

Moving Pictures folder to SD Card

I have a Pictures folder in the root of my SD card. By default several apps created their own folder in Pictures and save their photos in that folder.
If I move the Pictures folder to my SD card what will happen? Will the apps find their folder on the SD card and keep using it? Or will a new Pictures folder be created on internal storage and fragment my app data?
In that latter case, I assume that the app would only see the photos in the newly generated folder and not see any of the photos I moved to the SD card. Is that right?

LG G7 One camera storage

Are you able to change the storage from the camera app from Google photos, instead saving them to the phone? I'm getting frustrated.
On the camera app, clicking on the setting icon brings up the "storage" option, which for me is SD card or internal memory. So my pics are always saved to the phone.
My picture files are also synced to Google photos, so it is also saved to the cloud also. <I am sure you can disable that somewhere, prob under Google account, but I have not tried.>
Now, the default way to view photos on the phone is Google photos. So maybe that's why you think that photos are only saved to Google. If you use the "File" app, (or other file manipulation app, or pull the SD card and put it in a computer, if that is where you saved the photos) you will see that there are copies of all the photos on the phone.
