Just crappy ugly "NEW" comm manager

Hi there,
can anyone tell me how to get rid of this UGLY "NEW" comm manager style? Anyone like it? Iam really scared of the graphics which can some people cook into their roms and new version of OCTAVOI has this version of commman too, so its the hell on earth for me! like someone steal my candy!
Is there a ROM based on new build which has not USELESS things cooked into? I just want new build with original Microsoft/HTC/Touch/Cube graphics!
I dont know if this comm man is originally styled by HTC if its true so its first styled component/application i dont really like and it sucks my blood...

i second that but then that would only mean that we would have to help the chefs on this site. they offer us cooked roms with many customization. im sure they dont have time for graphics so lets get sometalented members to help out make the future roms look sexy. perhaps we can have a graphics area for all the phones since there many that would be comon.

Look for the 9 button or 10 Button Kaiser CommManager. Thats what I use in XM6 and is what you are asking for. I agree, I don't care for the other commManager's looks (although, the "Nuclear Powerplant one" you point out isn't too bad but I still like the other).
I'll look to see if I have a cab, but I have the packages (and they've been posted here. I know theloon's kitchen for the 318 rom has the Kaiser CommManager package and that can be used on any rom you cook (its not 318 specific).
I am curious why you want it on a "newer" rom build? Personally I've found the 318 rom (even though its "older") much more stable than the "newer" (higher number) builds which are all ports from other devices. I'd be curious what is in the newer stuff that you think is better (not a trick question, just wondering what I'm missing or what I can look to improve in a 318 build).

Agree! I'm using already two weeks mfrazzz's (thank you!) XM6 R3 (OS 5.2.318 Build 15342.4.0.01). No issues! Everything looks good and works great and fast! Even screen calibration bug is gone. C'mon flash this ROM and be happy, there's actually nothing better in versions with higher numbers!

100% agree ... i am able to do some things, but as i looked around there are also the others who wants... the boot-ups logos drafts for TNT was great... If anyone wants to help with some design things, just contact me

The thing that i really hate about it is this red/greed circles. It is absolutelly ugly in my eyes and this have not to be in such pretty graphics. All is in one style done with perfection and this is what breaking all. Also the ON/OFF text isnt great there.

Its nothing special with roms i think. Its something in me. Specific HIGHER NUMBER SYNDROM ;-) ... but you all are true. I missed reading what are the advantages and just flash, but what was the best rom ever? For me it was faria's AIRAF Stable, great, but missing OneNote (i though that PS's Office2007 can install it to WM device). So the answer is: The bug in me

Hey man, just downloading it, im currious if it will be okay for me. I just want the HomeScreen plugin (this big clock are great and well styled so it fits my needs) and also the Touch/Cube graphics is perfect, but i dont know if its available in .318 versions.

I actually quite like the look (the so called Nuclear Power Plant) and was wondering if anyone had a cab for it. To me it is simple and clean. I'd love to have it over the one I have now which is the 10 button.

Go over to the Kaiser forum and there is a sticky for a list of cabs. Dutty has a site where you can download cabs, and I believe this one is there. If not, ask in that thread and someone will probably have it for you.

download unsigner, use it, do reshack operation(change resources), sign commgr.exe, cook rom/overwrite/shadow file. be happy.

I have been working for a few days on this ROM for you all. Well its more built for my buddy Kavi, but I thought i would share with you fun people Its based off the HTC OEM release 5.2.19212 and has MANY MANY bug fixes!
I'll start with the list of installed apps at first run, remember these apps CAN be uninstalled thats why I have them run at customization!

Once again testing is needed as I can't recreate all the setups that you all might have. BUT it should be pretty damn bug free as all my roms are~
*** The ClearType issue is fixed at the cost of Opera Beta not working (Not Opera Mini) HOWEVER I will make a new ROM later that includes the new DDI.dll and a updated version of Schaps Advanced Configuration app that will let you change back and forth between the old DDI.dll and the new DDI.dll to get Opera Beta working if there is a demand for it. Honestly I don't like Opera Beta since its slow to load pages unless on WiFi and well its still in Beta and doesn't have flash like the new version of SkyFire does. So if you would like me to make a new ROM then post a comment and like I said if a few would like me to make a new ROM I will ***

Dont take offense bro, hes from New York I think and Im sure he doesnt mean it in a bad way. Im in L.A. and its pretty common to call friends by names that would usually be offensive. He makes real nice roms too, Ill prob try this one today.

Can we see some screenshots of this ROM in action from anyone that has used it at all? I have just been playing around with some roms, and re-decided to stick with Laurentius26's V9 rom for now, unless this one proves better.
I am in the UK on orange. Does this ROM inc a radio or is it OS only?

Dont take offense bro, hes from New York I think and Im sure he doesnt mean it in a bad way. Im in L.A. and its pretty common to call friends by names that would usually be offensive. He makes real nice roms too, Ill prob try this one today.

Austin thanks for the release. I will be testing the GPS today (whole day )like I always do.
@ People who have GPS cold lock problems with WinMo 6.1
For the last two weeks we have been testing different GPS drivers and finally found a way to get cold lock times under 1 minute consistently by using WinMo 6.0 drivers.
If you have cold lock issues give this ROM a shot. Really would like to hear whether it fixes the cold lock problem in your device.
BTW: I don't think Austin meant "dumb asses" in a bad way

true d3d doesnt work correctly yet, so i went with cleartype over d3d. there really are no apps or such that i use as a business user.

Both of them,.

opera mini i use about every 15 minutes and it works perfect with this rom! so i would take that as d3d working as good as it gets these days i used all modules that DDI.dll called for from the rom that the .dll was taken from. rest assured there are no issues with this rom
EDIT: this was posted on Xda due to a large number of people wanting a some what stock rom. as you all know i try to keep most of the custom roms i make nightly on my forum BUT was requested to post this here. we all need to lighten up a little Xda has become a place of hate and people taking everything to heart! In my little world what is said here has no impact on my REAL life lol. SO everyone chill out a little! I'm going to be around here for a long time more and have been here for a very long time already so deal with it.

Manila 2.5/2.6 on raph

Is it able to have manila 2.5 or 2.6 on HTC Touch Pro?
If not now so when it will be able to run on Raphael?

I also want it on my Raph but I am not sure about the colored icons and the people tab, it lost the w0w effect.

This is a ROM that incorporates 2.5 and its still very very buggy, ive it tried myself.

But as far as 2.6 is concerned, its not for a VGA device. That means that
it has to be ported which is a huge undertaking.

Looks like we will have another wonderful chef working on the porting of 2.5 now too.... sounds like in the next week or so we can be expecting an update to the XOR MM 2.5 ROM and possibly a new version of NRG's energy ROM incorporating 2.5 into it... i can't wait!

Is it possible to port Leo's Manila 2.5 to Kaiser?

So I was looking around HTCPedia (Please dont feel betrayed) and I saw this ROM for the TP2. Is there any reason why it couldn't be ported to the Kaiser?
I haven't begun dabbling in cooking my own ROMs yet, but I feel like I might try making my first attempt soon. Clealy this is not an ideal starting point, but if someone with experience could give it a shot in the mean time....

just make a rom to look like it, you should have asked this in a kitchen thread or dev and hack thread instead of starting a new thread for this or ask leo if he would make you one for kaiser.

Ok we cant even run just regular TF3D on kaiser! Running Manilla 2.5 will happen when the pigs fly!

we can run tf3d the issue is the 3d drivers not working properly when the device goes to sleep, second tf2.5 would be possible but it would require alot of work and again working drivers, well better than the ones that the kaiser has atm

lol oops, still need go ask in the dev & hack thread about your porting question

Like others state chefs & devs have never got the sleep issues with TF3D sorted and the same would come with M2D 2.5 as it's basically a amalgimation of 2-3...
Also another problem is real estate our devices are QVGA so tiny that it wouldn't be a true port as not everything would fit and still be useable.

true, and also the fact that our qvga devices are a thing of the past now, most new devices are now vga (well except the not yet released htc mega)
so i dont think htc or any developers would take the time to "try" and improve the kaiser 3d drivers to actually make it run smoothly.
I would recommend just going for manila2d/TF2D dumped from htc mega (the latest one)
or perhaps going for a new vga device although i would recommend waiting until wm7 comes out in order to get a wm7 ready phone

Sense UI 2.5 Calendar Tab Icon ?

Does anyone know of a .cab file to modify the calendar icon on the slider of the Sense UI 2.5 interface so it shows the day of the week in addition to the number date? I thought i saw this once but didn't get it
Just think it would be nice to see a small Monday, Tuesday, etc. above the nubmer date on the calendar icon. YES, i've searched for this and cannot find anything, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'd be the man if you find this. I could've swore i saw this or heard someone mention this while browsing around some site here recently, but can't for the life of me figure out where it was?
If it doesn't exist, i CHALLENGE one of the genious's here to make a cab to make it happen. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard, but then i'm no programmer and have no idea how to edit manila files, etc.

Many of NRGZ's roms for example (and others with newer builds) have this on the calender tab already??
So would be just a case of flashing a new rom...simplez lol

I have a CDMA Touch Pro 2 on the SPRINT Network. I have the current updated Stock Sprint Win6.5 ROM OS Version 5.2.21889 ROM version 2.04.651.4

Any luck finding anything? I don't want to flash a new rom, i'm happy with the one i have, just would like to update my calendar icon as stated earlier.

I did have a little dig around but didnt come up with very much. I know on certain build this has it, certain ones dont.

Here it is, I modified the version from Steve0007, the size of the font of the selected tab was a little to big.
I think it's compatible with Sense (Manila) 2.5.xxxx

THIS IS GREAT......But i have to agree, can the Font be made smaller by just a touch as it encroaches into the Day area below.

m9editor you can dissasemble the lua scripts en mod9 files, and you can edit them.

If someone tries to edit this to make the font a touch smaller, can they repost if it works? I have no idea how to do this and even with the directions above would be totally lost as to where to begin.
