Operating the games - navigation with fake cursors doesn't work - HTC Tornado

Hello Everybody,
I've installed a new ROM (WM 6.1 Pro RuraROM) in my tornado [SPV C600] some days ago and I have a problem.
I know there are many cool games for these kind of ROMs such as Warcraft II, Fallout, Orions: Legend Of wizards, Heroes of Might & Magic 2 and many, many others.
I've installed FakeCursor v1.07 and SPhepler but the cursor doesn't show up in any games I've installed so far. The cursor blinks sometimes but it doesn't do anything .
My question is: How did you handle this problem and how do you operate the games in these kind of ROMs? I mean every "Windows Mobile for Pocket Pc" installed in Tornados, such as:
- WM 6.1 Professional (Ham3r's ROM, BlackRura V8 WWE, TornFlo 2D, by Kamikaze, etc.),
- WM 6.5 Professional (5.2.21169 build 21169.1.6.0, etc.),
I think that almost every one that is changing the system to PPC in their own Tornados are thinking about playing the games in the future.
Thanks for any answers.

yep! thats the major drawback. In my liking, I love WM6.5 standard alot more than those professional versions.

I am looking for htc touch diamond for wizard ???!!!

CAN ANYBODY GUYS HELP ???!!! I am looking for htc touch diamond for wizard.
Look Around...do You See Any Diamond For Wizard!!!!geeeez!!!
Don't be ridiculous, this phone cannot supported the nice 3d features(touchflo 3d) from Diamond...Save up some money and buy a tilt or a diamond or be happy with what you have......GOOSH!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew someone was gonna ask this question!!!!
have a nice day
the "Diamond rom will not fit on a wizard. it is too big. also the diamond is made for vga and not qvga(wizard) many of the apps are too difficult to reingeneer to be compatable with qvga, and the wizard's processor and ram will not run it well enough to be stable. Wizard has always been underpowered. maybe why it is probably the best device to test programs on... cause if it runs on a wizard it will probably run on just about anything!.
Alternative is HTC Home Diamond edition. But there ar other shells with a Diamond edition available
The TochFlo 3D is nice on the Diamond but his startup is very slow.
Diamond-like ROM
I can recommend JVDSpank's ROM - [02 Jun] WM 6.1 CE OS.19588 from Diamond - CLEAN *FAST!*
It's very quick and stable, and no-frills - there is no additional stuff. This does of course mean that you have to install all the programs you want (search on the forums!) or learn to cook your own ROM (search on the forums!).
Read the thread I linked to, and decide if this is what you want... It's what I am running at the moment, and I'm in the process of cooking a version containing all the apps I need...
I'll update my signature shortly to reflect this.

Magician WM4 Incompatiblity Issues

As Magician cant run WM5 or WM6. Almost all new Applications cannot run on Magician as they are not compatible with WM4. So any solutions to run the Applications on Magician? A patch or something that emulates WM5 API on WM4 and allows WM5/6 Applications to be Installed/Used. ?
yea! this way it good.
look this one
this gx.dll can use wm5 games on wm3
Here ya go WinMo lovers, a screen shot of the purported next generation Windows Mobile OS codenamed Crossbow, courtesy of MS Mobile News. Sure, it could just be a WinMo 5.0 theme for all we know but if this is the full Pocket PC homescreen above, then we can expect a glossier look, continued softkey support, and a smattering of oh so Vista icons when this, and the SmartPhone version are released in the first half of 2007. As we already heard from Microsoft, Crossbow will feature a new version of Office Communicator and "strong links with Office 2007 and Exchange 12." If all this still leaves you aching for the hotness of Photon, well, suck it up son 'cause that's not scheduled to hit until the first half of 2008.
I have nothing to say with this issue but maybe just a few threads that you may want to count on.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452501 for a list of magician today + other software.
http://www.pointui.com for a good screen
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=444414&page=8 for a good today replacement that gives you really Vanilla 2D and Diamond skins for your today (but in Chinese). I have translated a skin with iphone - just look into the forum with keyword iphone2.
Of course, if you are running magician you might want to consider the tx203 rom, which is the best rom for me - some reported buggy but I have been running it for 1 year on my o2 mini without any problem.

TG01 powerhouse needs saving from winmo 6.1

Hay all, first time so... be gentle.
So I've just got my grubby mits on the huge and amazing Toshiba TG01, this is the 4.1 inch, snapdragon running competitor to the iphone... I've got it on Orange in the UK (so it's all UK GSM, 3G and HSDPA radios here if it matters for support reasons)
Now the TG01's "stripe" interface looks... well fugly, no two ways about it.
Orange provide their own UI which is inspired by the PS3's I suspect, and it's usable, but does nothing once your deep in winmo 6.1 territory (contact lists etc)
I've tried to get TouchFlo 3D and 2D running on the device (including via throttle launcher) but to no joy....
Does anyone know how This Bugger managed it?
Have any of the truly genius coders here managed it on devices more powerful than HTC's (touchflo2D seem to be other way round) - or can anyone suggest alternative UI's till the winmo 6.5 upgrade roles round?
Cheers!

"That Bugger" used itje's Blackstone cab to get it on the phone. It says so in the video's comments.

The TG01 will get an official WM6.5 upgrade.
I think the WM6.5 interface is pretty good, even without TouchFlo. So my advice is to just wait for the official WM6.5 upgrade, disable all of Toshiba's interface extensions and enable WM6.5 default home plugin (Titanium).
You can also try alternative interfaces like SPB Mobile Shell, Throttle Launcher, PoinUI etc. and alternative programs like Kinoma Play, Resco Photo Viewer etc.
Hi all, thanks for the advice, in the end I found PointUI and in turn PointSense which near perfectly reproduces the touchflo interface.
but I agree the winmo6.5 will really improve the phone, I belive toshiba planned to release it with 6.5 but MS's stalling meant that didn't happen.
Cheers again.

WM6.1 vs. 6.5 on Wizard

I'm new to this forum and to flashing the ROM on my Wizard. This is a fantastic forum with a wealth of contributions, though it is rather daunting for the newcomer.
I have experimented with a couple of WM6.5 builds (RC4 and newer Beta), a 6.1 build, and the original 5.0. I find WM6.5 to be rather unusable. WiFi doesn't work well, TouchNFlo is intermittent, and everything is dog slow. 6.1 seems a nice upgrade to 5.0.
Are others having a similar experience with 6.5? Is it too much for this 3 year old device? I'm not sure what the advantages are, other than personal taste for user interface.
Another question (and excuse me for perhaps not doing a better search)--if I find a build I like, but want more than the "clean" version, can I easily add the missing pieces, such as Manila 2D?
Thanks everyone!
Hi! Glad you joined! With regards to your question....WM6.5 officially released on October the 18th so until then all of the WM6.5 builds were based on betas and RCs which usually have bugs and what not which usually end up being slow anyways...there are several 6.5 builds based of of the final/ release version which run fairly quick . WM6.1 has been out for a while now and is the best go between for WM5 and 6.5 as of right now and its highly recommended by me! Im not telling you to (because you should research and pick one on your own!) but i used X2Hs NSN WM6.1 with Manila 2D and it was blazing fast so you should look into that!Cheers!
Maybe try to overclock your wizard? I got H3r's WM 6.5 rom on my wizard. Overclocked to 260 Mhz, about 29-30 MB of free ram after reboot. It works better than some 6.1 roms i tested.
I installed X2H's new "iphone killer" WinMo 6.5 ROM and its BLAZING FAST even without overclocking.... i highly suggest you look into that!!!!!

in fact there are some cabs to add m2d (4 ex) htc home, etx.
and yes im using the iphone killer (wm6.5 based) and is really fast, no need to overclock (i think is no worth to overclock since the wizard work flawless with iphone killer and some others i have tried be4)
but 6.5 have a flexible interface so you wont miss the m2d (i prefer the htc home) but 6.5 is very nice..... and of course if you go to spb shell page there you can download very nice demos and get the best.good looking-funcional interface.
good luck!
p.s. send pm if you want more tips

[Q] OS Question

Greetings All,
I am a newbie to any sort of forum and I wish to express my thanks in advance for your help.
I have been a WM (HTC Tilt WM 6.1) user for 4 years. Just recently I have been having issues with my phone and I need to purchase a new phone, but I totally confused on what to purchase.
My Tilt has the following programs installed, that I use on a daily basis:
Voice Command, Note2Self, SPB Wallet, SK Tools, Skype, Handy Shopper, in addition to the WM Office suite.
These are the programs that work well for me and I am comfortable with.
My question is this>
Can a widows 7 Phone do all the above or do I find a used WM 6.1 or 6.5 phone…will I like WM 6.5 better?
Or dare I say it…an Android?
Since your a windows mobile user and I'm guessing your most familiar with that os I suggest the touch pro 2 or the HD2. The touch pro 2 because it's a user friendly device, nice sized keyboard and purely reliable. The hd2 is also a nice pick it has a 4.3in screen an extremely fast processor and the touch is pretty sensitive/similar to the iPhone. You can go to htc.com to check the specs and see what you like best.
These are both 6.5 wm capable phones and the HD2 can flash wp7. I personally like winmo over android because of office suite but android is not bad either.
thanks for the info...what does "flash wp7" mean?
The HD2 has a very active dev community and one of the things they have accomplished is to port other operating systems to the device. So you have a choice now between keeping it on the stock WM6.5, or 'flashing' an alternative OS like WP7 or Android.
If you bought one yourself you would have the added bonus of being able to use the apps that you are familiar with.
Thanks for your thoughts.
What about the new HTC Inspire...any thoughts?
