I realized that I know almost NOTHING about my phone!! My word completion is not working correctly...all the websites I've gone to say something about changing the registry values...but I have NO CLUE how to get to that, let alone change it! Please someone explain this to me step by step! I had the Tilt before this and I loved word completion! Thanks

There's a fix you can find somewhere that disables T9. That's what causes the Fuze's weird word completion. However, by using this fix to get the Tilt's style of word completion you will lose the hardware symbol key (it won't work anymore). I will upload the cab later. I think I need to download it again

I am kind of new here but I did find setting about word completion
start/setting/input/option/T9 setting
there are some check boxes that say word completion try enabling or disabling them and see if that helps.
There is a program called total Commander that has a registry editor just Google it to find it
To the best of my knowledge there is no working solution.
I tried the registry changes ages ago that turned off the crappy t9 but it fecked up the full size software keyboard, when I clicked on the numbers tab it refused to go back to the abc option and I had to hard reset, changing the reg keys made no difference.
Other tweaks ended up auto completing words even when I didn't want them to.
Hope you get lucky, if you do, please post back
here's the solution: http://www.fuzemobility.com/autocorrect-and-autocompletion-solved/
Opps
I lied- sorry- it is fixable
haven't checked the link above but here is a soluion that i had tried previously and it now works perfectly.

read post 65 and 67
This solution will require free and instant registration with ppcgeeks to download the cab file but you just transfer it to your phone, navigate to it and click on it- no need to play with the registry.

I've spent a good half hour searching for the answer to this and can't find it. Find posts on everything else under the sun, but not this. I want to make the PocketCM Keyboard into my default input panel. I know I've seen it before but I can't for the life of me find it. I tried using Registry Wizard to do it earlier and only ended up completely trashing my phone and making it non-bootable. So that's obviously NOT the answer.
Edit: This program seems to be the answer, SIPChange

Search for program called SIPChange.
If You experience problems finding it, give me a message.
Thanks! That was what I needed. I got it now. I went ahead and edited the first post with the fix in case anyone else needs it.
Hi there,
I'm quite new to this site and also just recently got hold of the HTC S710. This is really a kick ass little phone. Like a kid who got a new toy i started installing application, one of them Mxit (www.mxit.co.za/wap).
The 1st thing i realized was that i could not use the backspace key, (the 1 with the blue arrow on it) to erase mistyped text, I had to go to the Menu, Scroll up until I got "back" and the letter got erased, i had to do this for every single letter.
Then I installed Dr. Gonzo's Windows Mobile 6.1 v1.1 Rom. It just got worse, the Mxit application got shrinked somehow and didn't display full screen. but i had my backspace button working But still, its quite annoying not being able to have it in full screen like on my Nokia N80 which i had.
Then I installed Dr. Gonzo's New_Guava ROM v.1.0 OS: 5.2.1623.18129.0.4.5, and it runs like a dream, right about until I installed Mxit again and the application got shown in full screen but it cut off my last 3 contacts including the functionality of an inline editor (shows a bar at the bottom on the live chat screen to enter text) but I can not see this bar because its somehow getting hidden behind my Start Menu.
I read a few posts, and came to the conclusion that its got something to do with my JAVA. Right, i download at least 10 different versions, each and everyone doing exactly what i mentioned above.
If anyone can please help me get this sorted out I would be forever grateful. Sorry for the long post, but I had to describe whats going on.
I'm awaiting replies from anyone who can help me
Thanx...
I understand what you are saying.
This is a problem with the Jbed version for Vox.
I was hoping that some other Java version(other than esmertec) might resolve this. But I have no time to try that now.
Have to finish my exams first.
If you can find the IBM J9 or old Tao Intent versions, do try that.

Hi there,
Does your inline edit work, can you see the bar where your suppose to type your text in and is your Mxit fullscreen is it being cut of at the bottom. Oh and do you use the blue arrow key, does it delete text, cos mine just closes the application completely!!
What JAVA version are you running...!?
Thanx, i'm busy testing some other versions right now, so far not so good. Will keep you posted as well.
Okay.....so has anyone got to test Mxit on the Vox...?! I just received my phone back after being sent away for repairs, took about a month!!!!
But now it s back
Anyway, this morning I flashed the VoxRomNEO_v0.8 onto my phone and WOW this is truely an amazing Rom!!!
Okay, back to this thread, I installed Mxit again, hoping that by now I can have it running fullscreen and hopefully be able to see my last 3 or 4 contacts at the bottom but no luck. It is still the same, I'm tired of reading thru Midlet Bibles and all that jazz.......is there anyone out there who could possibly test this and give me some feedback.....please...!!!
Hey everyone,
Okay so this morning I flashed the WM 6.1 (96 dpi) version for the Vox, and guess what, Mxit works, I can see my contacts at the bottom and my inline edit works like a charm. The only problem I got is when I pushed the Blue Back Arrow button (which i normally use to backspace with) it closes the application.
So now my question, did it work because the ROM runs in 96 dpi, or is it the Java version on the phone which is Jeodek Build ID: 20070425.1.1....?
I'm could not get the version downloaded anywhere, but i did find some with heap size fixes......crossing my fingers that it works!!!
Will keep you guys posted....
Hello again,
Okay, so I got my Mxit to work, fullscreen, being able to see all my contacts including the damn inline edit bar at the bottom....
Now I have 1 problem, can anyone tell me how to change the key mapping of the "Blue Arrow Key" on the front display of the VOX.
What happens is, i use it as a way to backspace and delete text. But everytime i press it, it ask me if i want to close the Java application....
Can anyone tell me how to fix this please....?!
Has anyone figured out why the Shut Down button on psShutXP only turns the phone's screen off? Can anyone help fix it?
Hermes by any chance? Do you have a poweroffwarning.exe in the windows folder? Mine doesn't, and I've had no luck getting it working either. It seems that it is done differently using gwes.exe on my phone.

i think it is because htc removed the shutdown command from the library. Try dave shaws xda-shutdown. It calls the shutdown.exe and actually allows you to shut the phone down.
go here to grab a copy
I really like psShutXP though. Therefore, I am determined to fix it. Holyfox created a VGA fix. From what I've gathered in other forums, psShutXP simply calls up the wrong exe in some devices (in my case, the Kaiser). All I need to do is change the path for the shut down function right? This will be my first "programing venture." I know a lot about every aspect of computers and programing except for the actual programing.
I could really use some guidance if anyone is willing to point me in the right direction. Im not asking for a hand out. I have checked the registry as well as trying to decompile the exe. I am using resource tuner, which I played around editing MS Calculator and it was fairly simple. However, when I went to edit psShutXp.exe, the only things of significance that I only saw are the gif file and a dialog box for the timer. Neither of them actually help me. The only other files i can tell that are associated with the program are to readme.txt files.
Once again, I am not asking for you to do this for me. I want to learn. Any guidance would be helpful! Thanks in advance.
I think Aserg has got it working. Didnt test it yet myself coz I dont have access to downloading from office. But you can check out his post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1141775&postcount=168

Hi all!
I have just updated my TP2 (Verizon) to WinMo 6.5. The Block Recognizer has disappeared. Verizon's response is a resounding "oh well".
I understand there is a registry entry that will restore the feature. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?
I am desprate, my fingers are too big for the on screen keyboards.
Thanks for advance.
Uncle Eric
Im guessing you also dont like using the slide out keyboard (which i am happily using to type this). I dont know the reg edit for the block recognizer but i can suggest 2 soft input panels u can try. One is Spb keyboard (not free) which has a much bigger onscreen keyboard. There is also my favorite solution for onscreen keyboards....Swype. Its free because it was pulled from the rom to another HTC phone and is compatible with the tp2. If u want the cab let me know. Do a google search to find out how it works. I believe it is a much more efficient way of typing onscreen. If ur not interested in the cab then maybe someone else can throw their hat in as far as the reg edit. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the response.
What I really want is the feature in WinMo 6.1 restored in 6.5. The Verizon Imagio has this feature, I guess, because of the lack of a keyboard.
I like the "Palm Grafitti" type input, I have been using it since the first Palm device shipped, before WinMo or Windows CE even existed.
I am told there is a registry entry to fix all this, maybe I need to find an Imagio and look at its registry. I do know it is not just a 1 or 0, its one of those long {xxx-xxx} type entries.
Thanks again for the suggestion, but it does not work for me.
Uncle Eric
htc has a hotfix for this "HotFix RHo09076". it is on the htc site. it reinstalls the block recognizer and transcriber.

This hotfix does NOT work for the Verizon phones; I'm unsure for others.
I do know that all verizon did was disable the registry value for a few of the SIP(block recognizer and transcriber) and left all the dependent files alone(dll's, registry entries, etc.).
If you're comfortable with a regedit then here's what you'll need to do:
Letter Recognizer
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42429690-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSipInputMethod
"Default"="1" – Enabled
"Default"="0" - Disabled
Block Recognizer
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42429691-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSipInputMethod
"Default"="1" – Enabled
"Default"="0" – Disabled
Transcriber
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{F0034DD0-2AD4-11d1-9CB0-E84BE8000000}\IsSipInputMethod
"Default"="1" – Enabled
"Default"="0" - Disabled
it worked for my verizon tp2 with update to stock wm6.5
I found the registry entries and made the changes.
Unfortunately, this does not make the block recoginizer selectable.
On the menu that selects the keyboard, etc, there should be a selection "other input methods", after selecting that menu, the menu to select "block recognizer " appears.
I suspect there is another step here to add the "other input methods" or "block recognizer" to the selection menu.
The menu is located by pressing the up carret that is next to the keyboard icon.
Thanks
Uncle Eric
I found the Block/Letter Recognizer hotfix. It was on HTC's UK site. Can't post links yet, but it's at:
htc.com/uk/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=822&news_id=435
Problem was, when I went to install it I got an "unsupported device" error. So I edited the XML and made a CAB.
Hope this helps people out, I spent the better part of an afternoon looking for a fix and couldn't find one.

ScottSNX - you are a LIFESAVER... I thought I was losing my mind - because I know when I was in the verizon store I saw the block recognizer on the htc imagio and a friend of mine had the touch pro2 (but maybe windows 6.1) and it was there - which is one of the reasons I bought this device. I was pulling my hair out trying to find a solutions - thank God I came upon your post... This definitely works.. it literally took me 1 minute to download and it installed and worked in 30 seconds. I can't thank you enough!!!
Thanks ScottSNX

Are you using a custom rom or have you upgraded to the new Sprint rom that HTC released a week or two ago?
Will this work for the Sprint Touch Pro 2?
Thankx for the HD2 Fix

Your .cab file did the job for my HD2. Dude, you rule!
Awesome
Thanks ScottSNX my block recognizer is up & running. Great work!
It works.
My Tmobile TP2 does not have this issue. A friend got one from Verizon and I "fixed" it with the .cab file.
Thanks ScottSNX!

Thanks for the fix. Believe me I'm glad someone did this, I'm lost without my block text!
Only, now, I need someone to walk this old man through how to install it.
I've downloaded it to my PC and tried to copy it to the phone. Won't copy.
I've downloaded it using my phone but when I open the folder I saved to, no file.
I'm sure it's simple but if you don't know how, it's frustrating.
Thanks again.
Works great
I installed and it works great. Now I can take notes again. Was a little rough using the board. Thanks for all the effort

Bump!
(Version MR1 just installed)
Have you connected your phone and computer (USB) using Microsoft ActiveSync? Find in the ActiveSync window the Explore utility...should be one of three selections available in a toolbar just below the standard File/Edit/View... toolbar.
Select Explore...and you'll see a typical Explorer view of your phone and its files.
Now, you can drag and drop the .cab file, for example.
Go now to your phone file explorer, find the .cab file...and run it. Voila!
My only question now, is -- I seem to recall that there was an on-screen keyboard with smaller keys than any of the keyboards now available. Is this another "enhancement" in 6.5.
Many thanks to Scott...on behalf of all of us (both of us? -- tee hee) who use the stylus for something other than just tapping. Letter and block recognition is awesome. If you haven't tried it in a while, I urge you to do so...it has come a long way!
I've looked everywhere for the answer, but can't seem to find it.
I am having trouble copying text messages from my SIM-card to my phone memory.
Is there anyone who knows how to solve that issue? I am using an HTC Diamond with WM6.5.
Thanks a lot.

Bump for visibility.
hahahahaha I had tried this for a very long time!
Seriously it too annoying!
In the end all I could do is :
put my sim in a nokia phone
transfer messages to the phone
sent them to diamond via bt!!
Sorry for the lame solution, but there is no other way!
Asus sim manager
Asus sim manager(any version) does it
Sorry dont have .exe n other related files.

You can also use apps below to save the sms located on sim card & import to device.
Have done so on wm2003se wm5 wm6 wm6.1 & wm6.5 custom ROMs
i don't exactly know what you guys here are talking about...
but if its simply about copying a sms from the sim to the phone (as the title suggests) then i don't see how come no one's posted the most obvious solution i've used myself before...
just as background info to those who need to know- i'm running a com5 23569 self-cooked rom on my htc gene (p3400)
and i stumbled upon the solution to this problem you mentioned while going through one of the millions of flashes and restores we chefs go through...
all i did to copy the message onto the phone memory was open the msg to view it and then hit the left soft key to open the menu and the last option on the menu list simply reads 'copy to phone'...i tap on that and voila!! its done...
do let me know if it works coz i don't think it would be this simple and yet left untried by anyone else and requiring external apps to be installed for it to be done...

WOW plenty of options available! thank you guys.
