I have recently purchased an o2 xda IIi and have upgraded the rom.
I'm a share trader and have been told i need to obtain java for the pda to run my trading software on it. (I need to be able to execute files with a "jad" extension. Can this be obtained through shareware? Can anyone help me out with this? I run windows verson 2003, 2nd edition. I have found a product at

You should already have a midp java applet manager (usually in Programs, and called Midlet Manager) on your device.

I have a Midlet Manager, that has a music player in it. I dont think its related.

all jar files in miplet manager are run as programs
I just realized that on the htc rom I am using there is no java icon under programs. It was there when I had my att tilt rom.
Is java not on the htc rom? If so, anyone know where I can get a cab file for it?

You already have it,is built-in. If you don't have shortcut in program list,you should find the jbed.exe file in Windows directory. That's the emulator. If not from any reason,download Esmertec Java emulator patched by Cloudyfa.
there's no jbed.exe in windows folder. where's the other one?
Hmmm...it's strange. I don't remember,where to download the installer,but I am sure somewhere on this server from some thread.
Sprint HTC Touch Pro does not have java pre-installed
The Sprint HTC Touch Pro does not come up with Jave pre-installed. They have there own implementation of Java called as Titan but it sucks big time. Please let us know if anybody knows of a JBed installer.

Hi everybody,
those of you who are German or deal with the German language might have come across www.dict.cc a very comprehensive and free community dictionarry (German-English-Germn). I think it would be very nice to have such a wonderful dictionarry running on WM.
They offer their database for download and a PC as well as Java app to run it offline.
Now I tried to use the Java app on my WM 6.1 but it didn't work.

Hi friends..i have been planning to run applications like jar/jad, which can run only in Java.
I don't know my windows mobile palm treo 500 nontouched mobile has already Java installed.
How to know about it...if java programe is not installed...from where i can get it ..?
